4th and 5th gen maximas should have been on this list. Early 2k late 90’s models. Hard to come by but VERY RELIABLE, comes with a VQ and if you look hard enough you can get a 5 or 6 speed manual. Infiniti I35 (dressed up 5th gen max) vq heart as well. Not to mention they sell below 3k
The CTSV has NEVER let us down and ALL those leading up to even the 19" Model WILL make you laugh like a Lil School Girl easily and the Mazda Speed 6 *IS* a Dream come through hardest this is trying to get one
So. The tl type s literally has 30hp more than the base... not a significant difference. And after owning a base tl for the last 7 years, I love the car. I'd like a type s only for the visual feel. Other than that, a few cheap bolt ons and you're at type s power for a fraction of the cost
@eli3746 brakes are bigger yeah if you get a base automatic. Manual has brembos. Suspension as far as I'm aware was very similar. I've driven both, and I can't really tell that much of a difference to justify the price difference. Also, I've not seen a type s sell for less than 10k in a minute. But that's just around me. I haven't looked at the whole country.

I dunno if you could really call them sleepers though, they're very well known and the AMG kind of gives it away. Likewise Audi S/RS or BMW M/Competitions. (Edit - I'm in UK where they maybe a bit more common than US etc)

The Saab version of the trailblazer SS will forever be my favorite. It’s like American muscle and Swedish luxury had a baby. Ik you put Saab on the list but this should’ve been the one. Reliable, very affordable, and can haul plenty of groceries, maybe a fishing boat or even fill it up with friends. 9-7X Aero ftw
FIAT Coupé 20V Turbo, 5 cylinder Turbo. Running 250km/h already in 1996. Was also quite a while the fastest factory fwd car in the world and till now the fastest FIAT ever made. Really slept on. Keep sleeping on 😏
Chrysler 300srt8? They go for 10,500k, has 425hp. When I had mine a gave a Chevy SS a run for it's money, and blew the doors off of a G37 that thought it was a 300c

I would look at a 2009 to 2014 Hyundai Genesis both powered by a 4.6 or 5.0 Tao V8..385hp to 429hp respectfully even the the V6 3.8 version pumps out 333hp
What about a Vr6 Golf, Jetta body, I own one and they be pretty sleeper like, especially in manual you can put down the power, I have beaten some stock 330i gran coupés
You should really look into the Optima & K5 community. My SX is pushing over 300 hp at the wheels & no one ever expects that out of an Optima. I could go so much farther & all the way into the 500hp bracket with them.
Only car that has any sort of potential here is the Q50. Everything is hot trash dead platforms. Had a Q50 Redsport , 2020 Supra, S5, S6, Mustang 10 speed, Porsche Macan Turbo, and currently have an X3 m40i. If you want serious performance, decent luxury, and a lot of aftermarket support, go Q50 and forget the rest on this list.
You forgot to mention the Lexus ISF, a 5L v8 that makes over 400hp, 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 170mph but if you remove the limiter those things can reach a top speed of 200mph, and the fun part of it is that it doesn't look fast until you race one
@@Investor_philips i don't think u are understanding... 2008 ISF - 100k miles ~ $25k 2012 M56s - 60k miles ~ 18k both have similar power numbers while the m56 has more hp and torque, it is also heavier. It definitely competes with the 5.0 2ur from toyota and u can find examples of it racing an RCF and keeping up. the point of the whole video was "cheap sleepers" the ISF is not cheap at all for a car over a decade old...
@@gooberboy599 it can't keep up with an RCF and an ISF, they might have the same 0-60 numbers, but power to weight comes in, the infinity m56 is a 13.2 sec 1/4 mile vehicle, the ISF and rcf is a 12sec 1/4 mile vehicle, you can find early versions of an RCF for less than $40k. The m56 is actually great, but it's heavy but that doesn't make it less of a sleeper, it's still a fast car

The JDM Subaru Legacy are even better and cheaper than the GT, got my JDM B4 RSK for $3000 and it is making 340hp. The first one on the video is a JDM GTB twin turbo.

While I agree with most of the cars on this list being sleepers, even a guy that knows next to nothing about cars would know that the SHO and CTS-V don't fit the name sleeper. Now... A relative of mine has a 2000 E55 AMG, a car that had 72k miles on it when she bought it 2 years ago for 5k, and that car is fantastic. Me... I'd go for the V70. That's the definition of sleeper
I’m gonna have to disagree with the Saab 9-5 3.0turbo I work on Audi BMW and I’ve worked on German cars for almost 20 years and this was the most pain in the ass difficult car to work or any of my whole career. Do not ever buy a Saab If you can find a mechanic to work on it he’s going to charge you a ton of money. If you were going to yourself, you’re going to hate your life.

The next E55 has the M113K engine. Supercharged and stroked. It makes close to 500hp. I have the S55 with the same engine. It's a beast.

a lexus rx 350 is also a good car, its a v6 family suv that puts out 270 hp. its just doesnt have many aftermarket parts
