Watched your video earlier and then decided I better just get mine done. Took about an hour and only the part where I had to fit the motor to the new regulator was in anyway difficult. I had been told by my local garage that they wouldn't touch it. Great result.
You know what? I’m a regular viewer of your TH-cam channel. I have seen all your videos, and your content qualities are very good. I learned lots of things from you. @@PowerUpAuto That's great. I'm very happy to hear from you. I hope your videos are more beautiful and you get more benefit from them. But your video views are low. I unspooled accidentally the cable while trying to plug the regulator into the motor... Lost 4 hours trying to put it back and I had to remove one of the 2 springs to finally be able to do so.
Something super weird happens now, when the door is opened I can open the window but not close it. When the door is closed everything works fine... Unpluging the left most plug allows me to close the window though but as soon as I plug it back I can't anymore. How is this even possible?! Did I break or damage some sensor? Where should I look? Even if this isn't that much of an issue this is a bit annoying...
@@SencerAramok I used striong elastic bands to keep the first side of the cable cage with the longest spring compressed (you have to rotate it while pushing to compress it at the maximul level). Then I rolled the cable back around the wheel with the cable outside the cage and pulled it with the wheel back inside the cage. I had no vice to maintain everything and that's why it took me dozens of attempts and a lot of pain. Also had to remove forever the second spring because I could not put enough tension by myself to put back everything inside the cage. Honestly it would be so much simplier if they had put something like this : th-cam.com/video/PS20sLgUEbI/w-d-xo.html
Smashing, cheers. Got me most of the way there crouched down on the drive in the very wet West of Scotland.

It would help if you showed close up how to attach the motor to the regulator as its really tricky.
That was one shortcoming in this video. Sorry
