Honestly, the term “Passport Bro” was a derogatory invented by the women in the west that are upset that men no longer want to “pick them”. They have overvalued what they have to offer, and the “market” has spoken. The truth is that you would now be considered a “Passport Bro”. But the truth is you found a valuable mate that you would not be able to obtain without considerable risk in the western world. GOD bless you two, and keep up the good work.

I second that opinion. You definitely see the Philippine's conservative yet open minded views in Chrissy. This is one of your better joint efforts for sure.😊
Plan is to become a passport bro next year. If everything works out, love being only one aspect, I will become an ex-pat. The US has a lot of problems besides dating.
I hate the term passport-bro it sounds fishy... well after the good explanation i get what it means but still I wouldnt be refering to myself using that term... thing is I was once hooked on the idea on finding a nice filipina wife about 10 yrs ago and now im shortly before getting a good job where i earn well enough im getting into it again mostly bcz of this Videos so i guess maybe i will see u guys there also comes the time.
You are almost there , thank you so much for doing some research and being a stand up guy . Government issues , business prospects , and even just broadening our horizons are some of the positions we passport bros take in our pursuit of a more fulfilling life .
I'm glad you took my comment on the other video to heart. I'm not a sexpat. But I'm a "passport bro" because I found the love of my life, to whom I have been engaged since June, by using my passport and traveling to the Philippines. I returned to the U.S. two days ago after spending 3 weeks with her and her family on my 2nd visit to the Philippines. We are waiting on her fiance visa. :)
Well said. You've really given it some thought. I beleive it comes down to y'alls happiness. If both of you are happy, that is all that matters, who cares what others think or say. It's your life not theres!
I am certainly not a sexpat and definitely not a "passport bro" When I met jessa I wasn't even looking. I was busy being a single father, raising my sin on full custody after a messy break up. We were friends for a few years. My elderly uncle lived in makati and I would visit him for a couple of weeks annually. She was living and working in mandeleuyong just across the bridge. We would hang out when I was there. Then as time went on we both realised that we were actually missing each other when I came back home. It was actually a naturally developing relationship. Would I be without her now? Hell no. She's my queen.
Appreciate the reply, thx so much, also I'll be back in the Philippines in either May or June to visit my Fianc'e in Leyete, O'yea I'm currently living in Phoenix. Totally enjoy your blog..
The economy went global and so did dating. The age gap issue is something we westerners find hard to accept due to what we've experienced at home. As was said, it's very common there and acceptable much to a man's surprise and delight.
I’m a great guy who’s Made very good decisions. I’ve helped all my family through my life. When they came at me with judgement, I blocked and deleted them. They don’t know me and at my age I don’t waste time with people who don’t see me or appreciate me. US women are broken to the extent they can’t simply want the best for everyone. I haven’t dated in the US since my adorable partner passed 2.5 years ago. I don’t tolerate abuse, undermining, diminishing, manipulating. I’m clear. Instead I’ll find my sweetheart without taking on any one else’s Straight jacket. Great video
Hi Rob and Chrissy 😊 this is another good vid The age gap difference is something I’ve dealt with for a long time here in Aust as I seem to attract younger women 🤷🏻♂️ The compatibility between the 2 people is the important issue. The personality changes that seem to happen as a woman reaches her early 30s creates this gap. Rob you’re a lucky man as Chrissy is an amazing woman 👏
@seashells-and-seashores no I mean the changes that seem to affect these age gap relationships is when a woman ages into her 30s and compatibility becomes less but remember this is only from my personal experience and with western women 🤷🏻♂️
Nice listening to you two, you get on so well. only recently started watching your stuff, but will be watching more. Very level headed and grounded. Wish you both well🤗
25 years ago my work sent me to China. While there I married a local girl and we eventually moved back to the US. Many people questioned my decision, they thought she was using me, thought couldn't I get an American woman. There were many comments to our face and behind our back. Over the years many of my male friends who have gone through tough divorces started looking for women over seas. 21 years later we are still married and sadly so many of our American friends are divorced. Men are looking for love and respect thats it.
I am 54 my Filipina is 23 I never thought about the personality changing in the next 5 years. But now I think that is something important to consider. But as I met my ex-wife in her mid thirties and she is a completely different person now that she is in her 50s. I think many people change as they age and experience life. The trick is to change together and share similar values and above else communicate
Rob! Don't show this message to Chrissy...hehe. Now that you have Chrissy and you both are sooooo happy and you can't believe the new life you have with her and you are happily consumed by her.... don't EVER use the words "beautiful Filipina", "gorgeous Filipina", etc, when referring to any other woman. And... You are both doing a GREAT job not just throwing together a video like some others but actually "producing it".
I'm old enough to remember back in the 50's and 60's, women (American) would often proudly brag about their husbands being "good providers". It was an endearing term that you never hear anymore. I think most men today will do everything they can to provide for their wives and families. Very admirable. Especially in the Philippines.
I actually wasn't a sexpat or passport bro when went to the Philippines. I stopped wanting to date American woman at 15 years old then at 24 I found a Filipina. I was with my girlfriend there a lot did not have time to sleep around. Most passport bros are not sexpats they just get lumped into it. A real passport bro is someone who marry a girl in the country and live over in their country. I am lumped into the passport bro movement, but as I stated, I gave up on American women at 15 years old way before this movement was mainstream like it is now. Also had my passport at 15 years old.
Yeah no problem thank you for the video. I didn't like people thinking that passport bros are just sexpat. Because I am serious about Filipina and will Mary her.
Babies and puppies are loved unconditionally. A man needs to bring something to the table. Man up dudes if you want a woman who is worth her weight in salt .
It's actually women children and dogs are loved unconditionally unfortunately the first time a man gets flowers is at his funeral in woman's eyes if we can't provide we are useless ever seen a rich woman marry a a fast food worker never but us guys will
To put it simply you are inspiring . Thank you for sharing . I do feel for you both when you put each other on the spot sometimes but it shows your honesty. Which means a lot. All the best.🙏
I'm 41 and already retired. I'm moving overseas to explore the Philippines, Thailand and Japan before I decide where I want to end up. I am not moving particularly for love as I went through a really bad divorce with a Western woman before I gave up completely on women and haven't had any interest in dating in the last four years. I would be open to it if I met a sweet, nice, and wholesome woman with traditional values who is not western, but it's not my primary goal more a bonus if it happens. As far as age I prefer on the younger side 21-26 range for a lot of reasons such as she's more likely to have a very low body count and less jaded from failed relationships to start with. You two look like a cute couple and I wish you the best and thank you for making these very informative videos.
From what I have seen most men who retire in the Philippines want to live where their income will go a lot further than in their own country; most social security checks are not enough to live on by yourself. Jt is difficult for wealthy men to find love in their homeland, but for a poor man, it would take a miracle from God! Almost every man I have seen on youtube has the dream ...to love one woman and to be loved.
Long term relationship is ok but if got married then man have to give alimony (even if she divorces the man) , I don’t know why anyone who don’t want children even think about getting married? As u said marriage don’t mean love
Here in America: the minute I went home and told my wife I was let go at work, was the minute she told me our relationship was not working out. She started openly dating other men.
Could you explain how it works, living in the Philippines and filing taxes in the States? if one sells anything he has, including the house, what address do you use for filing? Or is there a way to not have an address? O'yea, I live in Phoenix AZ
Hi Rob, Great video thank you. You know what they say, “If you want to see your wife in 30 years, look at her mother.” That’s what they call food for thought. 😊
I dated a Filipina for about 7 years when we met she was 20 I was 44 , and it was hard . Don't get me wrong she's was and is a great girl but the hardest thing was the maturity and life experience difference life experiences that she considered major crisis , were things I had already been through and to me were very minor because I had already been through it . The only things that teach these things is going. Through them . That was always our biggest bine of contention . I think for a guy my age (55) I would not date a filipina now younger than about 29
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines you very welcome sir I think nowadays many women not only American women they always try to compete with the husband a boyfriend and it's not about competing it's about cooperation and it's nothing wrong with it that's the way any relationship can work I wish you the best for you and your wife
Are there any introduction agencies in the Philippines? Bars aren’t my scene, nor are the women often found in bars. Am thinking about heading to the PR in a couple of months. I’m already a part-time expat spending part of the year in Asia.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines I still might want to check out an agency, at least see what their services and rates are. I’m looking for a serious relationship. I’ll see what the lay of the land looks like once I’m in-country. Am thinking about heading down to the Cebu area….rent a flat for a couple of months. I’ve been to the PR a couple of times before, but quite a few years ago. My late wife was from SE Asia. It’s like home to me.
@@Tom-tk3du I don’t like Cebu City- prefer Makati or BGC for big city. I watched a few videos on these agencies that brought Expats to Ukraine years ago and there is a guy in Debt who met in Cebu a girl that used to Vlog by the name short province girl he’s a friend of Geo in the Philippines, but they have this huge ballroom, and you have to be very very lucky and I don’t think the type ofservice they provide it is worth the money. Other than that one man I’ve never heard of anybody using an agency in the Philippines.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Thank you, I appreciate your advice. I’ve heard good things about Cebu and Dumaguete City. I enjoy hanging out in more of a beach resort area…have spent a lot of time in Phuket. I suppose I could check out a few different areas. Have started a new business and don’t know how much time I’m going to have.
When people start opining about other people's lives, I always remember 2 old adages: 1. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." 2. "Other people's business is other people's business." Also, my mom would invite relatives and/or friends to join our holiday meals, like at Easter, Christmas, etc. She had a few rules that she would enforce if those visitors violated her rules. No one was allowed to talk about religions, politics and/or the government, or other people's business. If anyone violated her rules, she would take their plates of food away from them and tell them to leave immediately. She would explain her rules when they first arrived, and tell them she would enforce her rules without exception. Fortunately, no one ever violated her rules, and everyone always had a good time and meal.
I agree that women in early twenty's. they brain is still growing and changing. I think that women close to 30 and up are more matured and have more experience in life thus more mature. (not all, some never mature though!)
In my case I have meet a passport sis, she came to Canada for the same reasons. We dated for 2 years before getting married and are still happy together. I have seen six of my friends having issues with their wife when some of them think they deserve a lavish lifestyle like in a magazine or on tv show. Only need some financial trouble for my friends to be verbally put down as "no good for nothing" because she does not want to feel inferior to her friends while shopping just like the magazines. Well we had hard times as well and worked incredibly hard to get out of it as a team, today after 40 years we are retiring on the beach in the Philippines living the dream just like on tv.
A better term for what guys from the west want, rather than "obedience" with it's servility/servant association, is "agreeableness". As to sugar-daddy/baby, this is just a dressing up of prostitution where the "baby", ie sex-worker, has just one repeat client (or small number of clients), at a time.
To be honest, I think the terminology used to define a "passport bro" is that they DON'T want to bring them back home. Like you, they want to find that love and stay in the country. I have found my love, but I have no choice but to bring her back as I cannot leave the US at this time. My problem is trying to export her and the myriad of immigration BS that you have to go through and the cost that goes with it. So, I am not truly the meaning of passport bro, but I am working towards that.
look back in history vikings married scots, welsh and irish, the romans married the gaules, germanics and britonians this was back 2000 years ago passport bros is just a term that social media in the west is useing to berate and belittle men for finding a woman that has the same values, morals and principals as themselves.
Who cares about disparaging labels. Should we shame older men for wanting sex and female companionship? Who is primarily doing the shaming? Both younger and older men want sex--BUT many also want to find a life long partner or even someone to have children with. Ignore these belittling labels and live your life as you choose.
That has happened to me last year I had a under turn income and my filopino lady has left saying she is disappointed that we haven’t progressed in the relationship, thankfully I’m working so I’m on the hunt again
I can appreciate your attempt to correct your previous video, that included a definition of “passport bros”! To simplify the definition: they are western men that find modern western women less desirable as long-term companions or wives! They also find the cost of living and cultural values, particularly in Asian countries, much MORE appealing! Also, “passport bros” aren’t looking to return to their “countries of origin”!
Then you shouldn't find your way in a courtroom cause "labels" can make a huge difference on the outcome of a ruling. It's not all "fluid" just like a man is a man and a woman is a woman.
Unfortunately, for many Passport Bros, moving to USA with their much younger Filipina turns out to be a disaster. I feel so badly for these guys. Imagine, originally they thought that Western women and Western dating culture was the problem (and they are huge problems!). These guys who have chosen the wrong foreign women live a type of ultimate nightmare! What are your thoughts about that (other than saying something like "well, choose wisely")?
Excellent video but I do think thete seems to be some differences in expats & immigrants in my humble opinion.. Immigrants are coming to a country to work for a better life while most expats are retired & done working. Most expats also seem to be much older than immigrants. Also many male expats leave the west to find female companionship while immigrants are not coming to the west for dating. If they are, we need to have a talk with them! 😂
You make some good points I was providing the urban dictionary definition of Expat has actually an immigrant, but there are some differences as you point out
Personally, as an American retiree in Thailand, I feel like we could use either term. I can’t get citizenship in Thailand. If I could I would happily call myself an immigrant. Otherwise I choose to call myself an expat. I don’t understand why people get all worked up about this topic.
Hi there, we have just found your channel , and we are enjoying it, but have an issue with something you have said here , and we would like to respectively point it out. You seem like a lovely couple, and we wish you all the best. We are a married couple Australian / Filipino. I am 67 and my wife is 46. We have been together for 7 years and married for 5 years. We live in Australia , but have a home in Cebu. Our issue is that my wife is a trans women …. She is not a “ladyboy” as you appear to characterize the trans women community. The term “ladyboy “ is often associated with trans women in the sex industry , something that my wife doesn’t want a bar of. Your Channel is refreshing , and we will continue to support it, but hope that going forward you understand the distinction Cheers
75% of Young Passport Sistas in Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam are looking for local women in clubs, bars and massage parlors instead of men!
Your health and attitude matter a lot as well. Are you 65 but look and act 75, or 65 and look and act 55 is a major issue as Pinays date the perception and appearance they have of you.. Can you keep up?
Met a Filipina in New York, took her to a private house party, she thought she was hot. Until she walked into the house and saw the stunning beautiful gals there. Then she realized, she was more like a 4 compared to the other gals.
Filippino women are very jealous, clingy and have a lot of anxiety. I think it is cultural. My Filipino wife is like that. You will get used to it. I used to react to it, but now I just ignore it.
Rob, you are one of the more rational TH-camrs I've seen speak on the subject but I believe you also are not willing to admit the impact that money has on these expat relationships, I think it to be disingenuous to imply that Filipinas are dating elderly Filipinos at the same rate they are dating the more wealthy ex-pats. Compare Crissy's life before meeting you to her life now and this is what takes place in the majority of these relationships. (to downplay such a Socioeconomic impact I find sketchy) most western society couples marry across similar socioeconomic lines with the hope of a modest rise in scale, with both parties making similar contributions, males being slightly higher. This is the reason that money isn't deemed as having as much impact in these societies. Rarely will you see someone go from extreme poverty to rich class. (there are always exceptions) you cited the study yourself women are generally attracted to men in their mid-30s not 60s 70s and 80s, money being the leveraging factor for the older gentleman. The phenomenon primarily existing where there is extreme poverty and not in developed countries where women have opportunity.
Passport bro, from what I know, started with the military personnel stationed in countries outside their own . Like For instance , Spanish military personnel back in the day falling in love with a filipina and marrying her . A Sexpat is just running around banging anything that walks 😅 Now days guys aren't happy with their countries, ladies . So we jump on a plane or take a car to another country. Trying to find that special someone. Some ladies don't like their guys leaving their country. So those ladies make fun of them . Guys don't care if they make fun of them . Men are just looking for peace and a happy home. A guy will take a plane anywhere for peace.😜
Rob, I have been saying that for a long time. Wait till you get here, because you can fall in love all over again, just by walking down the street. And I'm talking on a daily basis 😅. I tell guys, walk 10 ft and fall in love again. As far as Chrissy, She wants a virgin expat. That's a very common way of thinking amongst the Filipinas.
I know where to find gold deposits, but hate digging for it. If I can get some experienced Filipina gold diggers to help me here in the states, we could strike it rich, and move back to the Philippines where we could all live high on the lechon. I'll supply the picks and shovels 😂
Western women can say whatever they want if I want to go to Cebu for a holiday I’ll go, don’t mean I’m going for sex , I can go island hoping from there basically have fun
Sugardaddy is not a BF, otherwise he would be that.. they are supposed to be wealthy, dont have to be married, dont have to be old, but should knoenthat they are EXPECTED to pay bills for the pretty young girl they get tote around and show off.. the "Sugar" and time/$ spent is always up for negotiation
I understand why you think the way you do about a 29 year old woman being a better bet than a 20 year old woman. The truth is all women change when they become comfortable, Chrissy will change as she gains the security of marriage and lives a wealthy lifestyle. I'm not saying she will change for the worse or that she has evil intentions, just that she will change. Since Ive already been down the road you're on and it didn't work ,I chose not to marry again so that when the woman changes I have the option to change my mind as well. Btw the reason there are more ladyboys in Asia is because there is a financial incentive of Western men paying them. I don't believe that Asians are more gay than Western people.
I don't like the term "Passport Bros" in part because these guys sound like they just discovered something new - foreign women and foreign travel! These guys (who popularized the term) were typical stay-at-home ignorant Americans who finally decided to get off their butts and see the world. That's why they had to get passports - they didn't travel abroad before. So they come at this whole thing out of ignorance and naive wonder. Whereas you and I have travelled the world for years and have seen the wide diversity of girls and relationships, in all their complexity. Plus, these Passport Bros seem to have an unhealthy dose of Red Pill or Black Pill philosophy, which is a very negative place to come from. So I am happy to keep calling myself a Sexpat (although I am really just visiting, not living) or I like your term Explorers - someone who has another objective (exploring or, in my case, working on international projects) and just hunt for fun on the side. Maybe we should re-frame your term to "Sexplorers"?
Passport bros are the undesirables black men from America that start a youtube channel for exploiting these girls to keep them in the country on Revenue from the vids but then they do discord for the sexual vids to share between there community
True freedom lies in free choice from all available options. I applaud passport bros. Having limited options in their home environment, they are acting upon their lack of options by changing their location to one which is more conducive to the achievement of their dreams. Of course western women are mad. They had sought to control the market, essentially rigging the game against free choice. With other options, western men have increased the available supply, thereby decreasing the demand for local products, and so, lowering the value and costs. Capitalism leads to a stronger economy, so long as the supply is not artificially restricted. As such, it also does the same for love. Western women have, essentially, priced themselves out of the market. Western men have increased, not only the market, but their own value, by traveling overseas to get value for their time and effort, by securing higher quality women for far less. By doing so, they affect the western market value, forcing a much needed correction of the relationship economy in the west, while reaping gains in their personal portfolio. For the western men, and for eastern women, it is a bull market in the east, and so, a smart investment for both. I love it.
The definition has some nuance but I don't think a smart passport bro is looking to bring the gem of a woman he finds back to the pit of vipers he left. You wouldn't want to risk her acclimating and her mind being poisoned by the harpies you left to escape. I think that's why you look at the Philippines and Thailand as opposed to Central and South America, whose women may want to relocate to the States. No, you'd want to relocate to where she is because it's better, flat out. The term is positive for men but VERY negative for women. Doesn't take much thought to figure out why ("What's wrong with you if your men are leaving in measurable numbers to find women elsewhere?").
I'm all for everyone doing what makes them happy, whatever that is as long as no one is hurt unwillingly........ As to passport bros and the media hype, I understand you are in the media and have to put out content but truthfully the hype is over sensationalized with this issue. Gotta get those clicks on their stories to pay their bills..
Ladyboys certainly are discriminated against in the Philippines. They can't legally marry their husbands. Pretty difficult to refute that. My wife is Thai ladyboy. Same problem. We've been waiting over a decade to be able to get legally married in Thailand. We have been married for many years now in California. Here's to hoping the laws change before we die of old age. Know hope.
If these women were "traditional" they wouldn't be marrying an old 🤍 Westerner.. And you can say these men font want to exploit these women but there is an undeniable power difference and dynamic created when an older man not only DATES a much younger woman, let alone to bring her to country where their is a launguage barrier, culture shock and the stigma of being a "mail order bride".. Men never have to deal with half the pressure of the stigma of dating/marrying and older man, but also the pressure of your safety/physical well being, and housing all being dependent on a man who has a completely different culture than you.. as a woman who started dating a 36 yo 🤍 man at 19, and now just turned 36 last week (we are both Americans), i speak from experience.. but carry on..

Absolutely
Hi Rob and Chrissy 😊 this is another good vid
The age gap difference is something I’ve dealt with for a long time here in Aust as I seem to attract younger women 🤷🏻♂️
The compatibility between the 2 people is the important issue.
The personality changes that seem to happen as a woman reaches her early 30s creates this gap.

@seashells-and-seashores no I mean the changes that seem to affect these age gap relationships is when a woman ages into her 30s and compatibility becomes less but remember this is only from my personal experience and with western women 🤷🏻♂️

Well said
I am 54 my Filipina is 23 I never thought about the personality changing in the next 5 years. But now I think that is something important to consider. But as I met my ex-wife in her mid thirties and she is a completely different person now that she is in her 50s. I think many people change as they age and experience life. The trick is to change together and share similar values and above else communicate
Good point
Thanks

Are there any introduction agencies in the Philippines? Bars aren’t my scene, nor are the women often found in bars. Am thinking about heading to the PR in a couple of months. I’m already a part-time expat spending part of the year in Asia.

When people start opining about other people's lives, I always remember 2 old adages:
1. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
2. "Other people's business is other people's business."
Also, my mom would invite relatives and/or friends to join our holiday meals, like at Easter, Christmas, etc.
Thanks for sharing that Xavier

Thanks for sharing
To be honest, I think the terminology used to define a "passport bro" is that they DON'T want to bring them back home. Like you, they want to find that love and stay in the country. I have found my love, but I have no choice but to bring her back as I cannot leave the US at this time.
My problem is trying to export her and the myriad of immigration BS that you have to go through and the cost that goes with it. So, I am not truly the meaning of passport bro, but I am working towards that.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to share
look back in history vikings married scots, welsh and irish, the romans married the gaules, germanics and britonians this was back 2000 years ago passport bros is just a term that social media in the west is useing to berate and belittle men for finding a woman that has the same values, morals and principals as themselves.
Thanks for watching. Love the comment.
Brilliant woman.
Thank you
Who cares about disparaging labels. Should we shame older men for wanting sex and female companionship? Who is primarily doing the shaming? Both younger and older men want sex--BUT many also want to find a life long partner or even someone to have children with. Ignore these belittling labels and live your life as you choose.
Thanks for watching our channel and sharing that nice comment

I can appreciate your attempt to correct your previous video, that included a definition of “passport bros”! To simplify the definition: they are western men that find modern western women less desirable as long-term companions or wives! They also find the cost of living and cultural values, particularly in Asian countries, much MORE appealing! Also, “passport bros” aren’t looking to return to their “countries of origin”!

Interesting. :-)

Your Channel is refreshing , and we will continue to support it, but hope that going forward you understand the distinction

Both?
Filippino women are very jealous, clingy and have a lot of anxiety. I think it is cultural. My Filipino wife is like that. You will get used to it. I used to react to it, but now I just ignore it.
Good advice I’m going to take it
Rob, you are one of the more rational TH-camrs I've seen speak on the subject but I believe you also are not willing to admit the impact that money has on these expat relationships, I think it to be disingenuous to imply that Filipinas are dating elderly Filipinos at the same rate they are dating the more wealthy ex-pats.
Very good points

I think its an interesting term, I may borrow it. Thanks for your comment
Thanks for watching- The Urban Dictionary has a more recent interpretation
I love it.
Wow I am feeling like stealing your words …. Love your take on relationship economy.
