I love all your uploads Claire. You’re not the usual female who relies upon their looks to attract attention and concentrates upon what matters most when out in the countryside. I grew up on a dairy farm and there’s no need to fear cows, they’re naturally inquisitive and will come up to in a herd. Just stand your ground and don’t be afraid. Bullocks and heifers are the most inquisitive and only cows with calves can be a bit pushy at times. Don’t forget they were put in the field they’re in by humans. If they get too close for comfort wave your arms and shout at them, they’ll jump and move. Remember they’re herbivores not carnivores and their natural instinct is to flight not fight.
I love watching your videos, the quality and wholesomeness is second to none. It was actually your channel that inspired me to start doing camping and bushcraft as a hobby. Thanks for the inspiration Claire. Your video's have helped me through some very difficult times in my life.

Good God, I had to get my heart rate back down after watching you bog hop! 😮 You did amazing considering how much weight was on your back. 💪 I'm glad you stuck it out after that fiasco. And you conquer again here 13:56 and descend over your fear to a beautiful lake. You sauntered. 😊 This was just stunning Claire, even emotional at points. You should be very proud of yourself. Thank you for this and have a lovely week. ✌️
Heyy, thank you so much, I swear those bog things are my nemesis 😄 yeh that was the thing, I was so heavy and my floopy muscles were getting too drained to hold me up against all the falling and sliding, scared the hell outta me it did. But I'm really glad I didn't go home :) Hope you have a lovely weekend too 🙂🌿
That was obviously a trip that had a huge emotional effect on you. It was very courageous of you to show just how frightened you were after traversing that bog. I hope it will go some way to showing others that, although your adventures can be stunningly beautiful, they can also be incredibly dangerous. Thanks for sharing it, Claire. Stay safe.
Life is about exploring and testing yourself. Being able to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and further is an achievement in itself. Well done on pushing through the hard times and another amazing episode. Your an inspiration Claire, keep being you.
This was one of your best videos yet. I honestly started tearing up a couple of times. Very proud of you and what an amazing adventure. Thank you so much.
Just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely video which found me at just the right time, rekindling a near dormant spark to get back out there once I've healed.
I must say that I loved that you included the tough part. As someone who can't get out an enjoy nature in the way that you do I really appreciate all the parts of the adventure you put out, even the hard ones because there will always be hard parts in life and if i could get out and hike I would. You give me a chance to at least get a glancing feeling of what it its like and it is much much appreciated! THANK YOU!
Thank you for sharing the video, and for including the highs and lows of the trip. The video editing and cinematic shots are excellent. You showed grest courage and resilience at the start of the trip 👏
This video was incredible. It showed us, the viewers, that you are normal like everyone. Your video’s show how you endure the elements by staying positive and how in overcoming obstacles but this video actually showed your emotional side. I realize you wouldn’t posted this video if you did decide to stop and not finish the trek but you did which I commend you. This is by far the best video you have posted. It has all the features that make you, Claire, an outstanding person and able to be perseverance to overcome any obstacle, physically and emotionally. You are the best.
Another stunning adventure and brilliant video! You are an inspiration to me and so many others. Thanks for dragging us along. I know you must carry extra gear in order to film your trip and the weight is a sacrifice you make for us. Thank you.
Thanks so much :D yep 4kg extra weight haha.. I could make it lighter but the filming is as much of a passion for me as the trip itself so I'm not willing to leave any of it at home currently. I think I'm gonna have to lighten it as I get older though. Have a lovely week 🤗🌿
@@WildBeare Well aren't you lucky Claire you only have another 50 years to go before you'll get close to being old. Thank your parents from me for creating such a beautiful being.❤️
I did a walk about in 2006 when I was 46. I spent 122 days walking into the remote wilderness and according to my GPS my line of sight travel was 98 miles at the deepest part of my trek from my pick up. I thought to myself… “I bet few people have been this far in”. About 4 steps later I found a rusty Log Cabin syrup container beside a rock by the lake I camped by with an aspen tree someone inscribed “Sergio 34” which I assumed was 1934… sheep herders in Wyoming would put there sheep way up in the wilderness. I was at 10,480’ elevation at that camp. Many of us long to be isolated on a trek… but we are traveling trails that were made long before us. Another fantastic video young lady. Good journeys and be safe.
Be very proud of yourself, Claire. You're an inspiration to so many people, especially myself. I watch all your videos, in all honesty, your knowledge of wildcamping grows with each video. Congratulations in your achievement.
Thank you, Claire, thank you for your wonderful videoes and sharing your passion with us, your infectious enthusiasm and the joy you carry with you, even when the going gets tough, you truly are an inspiration. Time after time you remind me of that feeling I loved and have missed so much. After a fairly horrendous few years I've finally been able to get out again over the last few weeks and do some walking, only a few miles here and there but it's been enough and, God, I've missed it, that peace, the calm of it, just me and the world. I owe a lot of that to you, for sharing what you love, reminding me how much I love it, what a difference it makes and I just needed to make the time, get my boots on and get back out there to feel that joy again. One step at a time is good enough, so just keep going, never give in and above all else, stay floofy! Thank you!!
And it got me thinking, it's made me realise I've become a house cat over the last few years, watching the world through the window, comfortable but indifferent and detached. I've realised how these artificial things around me every day isolate my senses from the wider world outside, and it became normal to me. But out there all our senses are engaged again, eyes can focus on distant things, which I've read is very good for our vision, there's scent always in the air, the damp of grass and ferns. We can feel the warmth of sun on our face, the breeze touching our skin. There's sound, even if it's just the rush and rustle of wind through the trees or a river running. Nature's rarely silent, it usually means danger when it goes quiet, but in our civilised society silence has become something people long for, but it's deeply in us as unnatural. Just the ache of shoulders or sore feet as we move through that world, all these things, a million little reminders per minute that we're alive, because we can feel it. I know it's not always easy, nature doesn't particularly care if we're having a good day or not, but you said there was a point that you asked yourself if it's somewhere you belong. It is, because it's somewhere you can feel alive, and that's a good enough reason to be there.
I found this channel only 2 days ago, but in that time you have introduced me to more beauty (and the pain that comes with persevering to find it) as I'd not thought possible before. These are places where it is not difficult to see the magic in nature, the magic that lies in humanity if we'd just embrace it rather than spending so much time on hate and fear. Stay safe out there, Wildness, and keep on bringing joy to us all. Peace out❤
You have a beutifull wild soul which is rare in todays society. Nature brings freedom of the mind, body and spirit. She heals and rejuvenates. We heal mother earth by being outside and talking to the plants, flowers and trees. She speaks without words and judgement. Very proud of your journey you don't realise how many people you have helped. Keep going and never stop believing in yourself. ❤ X
You have the strength, perseverance, and tenacity that many people lack (including myself). I always enjoy your content. Stay wild, stay hungry Claire.
I always enjoy your videos but this one was very special. I really enjoyed this so much. Everything about it from the highs and lows of your experience to the editing and story telling made this absolute magic. Thank you for this.
I didn't realise Claire was hypermobile until she mentioned it here in this video. That makes her journeys even harder then they look. Much respect. EDIT: I used to be a farmer and I know cows/bullocks can be frightening but as long as you don't have a dog and they don't have calves with them they are fine. They will come and look at you and crowd around which can be frightening but they won't hurt you. If you stand still they will come right up to you and lick/sniff you. Shoo them away and walk steadily. Don't run though, you will hurt yourself and they will follow you anyway.
As a resident of Hawaii, I feel compelled to say that the adventure you took in this video demonstrated that the UK has enormous areas that are every bit as beautiful (and arguably moreso) than anything aa place like Hawaii has to offer. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm envious of the opportunity you have, impressed by your perseverance , and baffled by the pronunciation of most of the places you visited as I followed your trek on Google Earth. Thanks for this.
Some of these spots remind me of Ka’au Crater, or a few of the ridge hikes west side, but you’re right, they rival and surpass just about all of the treks I’ve done on Oahu. Incredibly envious.
Good on you for keep going. After too many years wandering round bush in NZ forgot how many times route planning on trip or terrain was much tougher and things went awry and got angry, scared but took moments to slow down think, calm down and you solve the issue, then keep going. Made the sense achievement after completing the trip 100 times better. Hope to see sometime you wander down to land of long white cloud and try the place where the best hiking (we call it tramping) is in the world.
These vids allways make my day Claire. Cracking adventure with highs and lows. When the going gets tough you get going. Done plenty of long distance treks with my wife and what I would say is try and reduce your pack weight. 17kg is hell on your back and your knees will thank you in later years. I only carried 13kg the length of the West Highland Way. Invest in a bit of lighter gear and ask yourself what you really need and what you can do without. Either you nailed it again, fantastic cinematography, narration and editing of a truly epic trip. 😊
Thank you :) I can't really get my camping gear much lighter for summer, it's the filming gear, which is 4kg currently and I'm not willing to leave any of it behind haha. I love the filming as much as I love the trip itself. Happy trails you guys 💚
You have the stamina of a gladiator Claire. We're so thankful you pushed on through the hardships as this to me is one of your best vlogs ever. You are a true champion and that leap of faith into the pool was mesmerising. You go girl and conquer all before you. Thanks so much for your style of entertainnent. Bushyboy Oz.
I think this has been the best adventure yet - not just because of the amazing and beautiful places you visited, but also because of the hardship, how you almost gave up but didn't. That gives us inspiration when we feel like quitting ourselves. And the millipede was awesome!
Cheers Claire, We're all allowed to be afraid and acknowledge those fears, especially in situations like yours alone in the great outdoors. But you are so brave to face those fears head on, embrace them and then use them as motivation to push forward. it's ok if we choose to give up that day and try again another but It also feels amazing the day we do decide to push forward. Bravo on your journey and I look forward to your future travels!
What a gorgeous video, only you know how much time and effort you put into this editing but you can see the effort in each scene. I just love this video, you are simply unique content creator!
@wildbeare I just want to say that I love your channel. You have great content. I love how you share a little about your gear and overall just the way you set up your campsites. You’re amazing and fun. Keep it up and stay safe out there.
I can’t believe you didn’t pass one single human being on your travel….watching you and your travels is so beautiful ,relaxing and calming…such a treat !!!..I loved all your camping spots …the one at the edge of the bank was amazing too ….and the camera work is so professional, which makes for great viewing..please keep safe ,you are some sort of super woman👍😜..❤
You're stronger than you ever thought possible Claire, when you think something like a bog has got you beat, remember you done it not because it's easy, but because going on your previous experiences, you thought it would be easy. But in hindsight you'll be a little more prepared for your next amazing adventure into Britain's unforgiving wilderness. Certainly keeps one feeling alive doesn't it? Keep sharing your fantastic adventures, you're an inspiration to many and a joy to watch for others. 😉👍
I am shocked out quickly this is turning into my favorite youtube channel. I just found it Saturday. This weekend, i walked into a sporting goods store and asked if they had any rucksacks (is this an English term, cause the lady had no idea what I was asking for)😂 well, I hopped on Amazon, and it knew what i meant. So I bought one 60L? said it was good for a 4 or 5 day hike, does that sound right? I live in Utah, I am sure there is wilderness to explore out this way. This tiny little thing Claire is so fun to watch and makes adventuring so compelling. She is like a little Bilbo Baggins 😂
I love the content you put out, I appreciate the way you kinda narrate your adventures and give us insight into what your thoughts are at the time of making these videos. Love love love them keep it up. Im enjoying myself on your adventures!
Terrific video, Claire. You're a bold and intrepid hiker, capable of much courage and strong determination. You didn't even complain about the biting insects though I'm sure they were voracious. Thanks for taking us along. See you next time.
It's been said before; Claire you are one tough lady. And one of the most beautiful too. New boots are aweful on a big hike. Gotta break 'em in though. 😢❤
You are such a beautiful soul Claire. Although we have never met, I feel like we are kindred spirits and I find myself worrying about you and whether you are ok when you don't post a video. You are giving a great gift to the world by documenting your adventures and sharing them. I know from what you have told me previously that it has played a massive part in your own healing and I think I can safely say that you are paying that forward by helping others to heal too. Your resilience and toughness is truly an inspiration to many. Long may your adventures continue. Stay safe on your travels and thank you for sharing your adventures with the world. You truly are one of a kind and the world needs many more like you, in it.

I feel the fright and relief in your voice with the bog. Sometimes its better to backtrack and find a better route, I made the same mistake with a bramble field, where I thought it ended, it didn't, and I kept going when the smart move was to turn back and find another way. Keep safe on your adventures!

Thank you so much, means a lot :D
Love watching you and I can relate to you in the woods alone on the travels finding yourself. Love these videos
But I'm really glad I didn't go home :)
Hope you have a lovely weekend too 🙂🌿
Enjoy your journeys love that you push through all the ups and downs. Amazing scenery to boot!
You are an Amazing Woman...GODDESS!!. Please carry on being who you are. You are an inspiration to us all.
THANKYOU!.
Stay safe.
Thank you 💚 yehh it really did get me that! It's always the grassy bogs for me haha
Gay
Just wanted to say thank you for such a lovely video which found me at just the right time, rekindling a near dormant spark to get back out there once I've healed.
Excitement of the traveller. Wisdom of the explorer. Strength of the Warrior. Words of the Bard. Happier Journeys Claire.
Just want to say thanks i busted my knee in January and still not recovered so your videos are a great escape
I felt the emotions Claire, what an inspirational human being you are!! Epic journey ‼️
Thank you very much for sharing this trip! Congrats from Brazil!!!
Thank you for sharing your trip. You are such a beautiful person.
Thank your parents from me for creating such a beautiful being.❤️
What an incredible adventure. Thanks so much for sharing.
You are amazing Claire. Never doubt yourself or your abilities. Crossing that bog took immense courage. But your every step is taken with caution.
I love cool weather trekking. What a beautiful place you are exploring.
What a Wonderful & Amazing trip to remember the whole life through ..... Thanks for sharing !
Be very proud of yourself, Claire. You're an inspiration to so many people, especially myself. I watch all your videos, in all honesty, your knowledge of wildcamping grows with each video. Congratulations in your achievement.
Life's full of ups and downs, dont fret, and there's no need to be perfect, just be YOU, easy really 👍 great little adventure, happy travels 🍻
You are beyond words Claire ! I’m hooked on your videos!
You have the strength, perseverance, and tenacity that many people lack (including myself). I always enjoy your content. Stay wild, stay hungry Claire.
Gorgeous. Both u and the views.
PD: Nice words. Thanks for sharing.
I always enjoy your videos but this one was very special. I really enjoyed this so much. Everything about it from the highs and lows of your experience to the editing and story telling made this absolute magic. Thank you for this.
you are truly inspirational. love you and your adventures. AMAZINING!
That 2nd ights pitch was a gorgeos spot.nice n cozy, sound of creek running.Just magic
Thanks for this.
it's because she's in Wales, they have their own language, Welsh, an example is most of the road signs are written in Welsh and English...
@@PaulMappud I knew that. Still baffled, lol.
@@TheGNexusSo are most of the English 😁
@@WildBeare And so you should 😊
Very cool thank you for sharing. Glad it worked out in those fields.
Amazing. I'm speechless. Such an inspirational person. Love it.
I think this has been the best adventure yet - not just because of the amazing and beautiful places you visited, but also because of the hardship, how you almost gave up but didn't. That gives us inspiration when we feel like quitting ourselves. And the millipede was awesome!
Brave , balanced, inspirational and beautiful inside and out x
Cheers Claire, We're all allowed to be afraid and acknowledge those fears, especially in situations like yours alone in the great outdoors. But you are so brave to face those fears head on, embrace them and then use them as motivation to push forward. it's ok if we choose to give up that day and try again another but It also feels amazing the day we do decide to push forward. Bravo on your journey and I look forward to your future travels!
Thank you so much, yep deffo got my fears haha. I'm so glad I didn't quit on this one 💚🌿 Hope you have a lovely week :)
Just GORGEOUS ALL the way around ❤️❤️
Excellent adventure. Thank you for sharing.
you are human - things happen - you learn from it - you accomplished your fear - you did GREAT - you go girl
Thank you so much :D yep, never gonna be perfect, it's alright by me
You're stronger than you ever thought possible Claire, when you think something like a bog has got you beat, remember you done it not because it's easy, but because going on your previous experiences, you thought it would be easy.
She didn't even respond to your comment. 😂
You are an amazing lady ,keep going, and you are stronger than you think.
What a Fantastic achievement and what an inspiration you are ! I wonder how many people will get out into nature just from you and your videos ? ❤
TH-cam skills number 15: remember not to be leary!
@@louithrottler Leary? Hardly. I have a lot of time for Claire and respect her as a human being. Perhaps examine the wholesomeness of your own mind if that is how you perceive my comment.
i never comment any videos but i think the energy you transmit, the beauty in your videos, the elements of inner reflection im sure you are an inspiration to many that otherwise wouldnt ever see these amazing places.
All my life I've lived in Wales.
For 40 years, I didn't know this place existed! (Always gone outside of Wales, never explored my homelands) Going on my list of places to go. Thanks for this 🙂
I feel the fright and relief in your voice with the bog. Sometimes its better to backtrack and find a better route, I made the same mistake with a bramble field, where I thought it ended, it didn't, and I kept going when the smart move was to turn back and find another way. Keep safe on your adventures!
At 24:59, Claire says: "It sounds like there's some kind of traumatized cow down there." Then she says: "Not me." Brilliant, Claire!
Your modesty is a breath of fresh air. It is the icing on the cake when it comes to trying to define the depths of your beauty. Thank you for being you and it being a part of you
Your stunning in every way
Your series is beautifully produced , congratulations.
You are very capable and you are stronger than you even realize.Never give up, you can do anything you set your self to. Never ever forget it!
Very enjoyable video...thanks for showing the challenge and the reward! Your perseverance pays off!
Thank you, for taking us on this journey with you. I loved watching this 😍
Your experience is a testament to the strength we all have within us! It’s so easy to consider quitting when things get tough, but your decision to push forward has led you to unforgettable moments in nature. Thank you for sharing this inspiration with us!
Claire - You have a peaceful nature but a warriors heart and a toughness of mind. The balance that you allow to project forth draws people to you and your videos (adventures). Whoever does your video work, firming and editing, is extremely skilled.
Love the fact that you where getting upset and didn't hide it from us but your skills got you across that bog dont give yourself to much of a hard time
