What an interesting video. I'm an older lady who used to love camping. I'm thinking of getting some bits together, so me and my Irish Wolfhound can have a few nights under the stars. Great guide, thank you.
@mandyocallaghan9809 I'm 64, just me n my dog. Spent lots of times camping when my children were young. We couldn't afford camp sites so found lovely places with steams and fields and just enjoyed fresh air and fun times. Hope you get to get out there soon.
This has came at the perfect time, the youth project I work for does a lot of outward bounds with kids from deprived backgrounds, and needs new camping gear and we have gotten £1200 towards it. Il be using this as a template for what we order as like you said, you don’t want the cheapest gear as you want them to enjoy their experience. Cheers Haze
This would be ideal for myself. I’ve been subscribed for a few years now and my mental health is depleting recently. I really appreciated your advice on getting out and about and plan to do so as soon as I’m able. Keep up the good work mate.
Keep an eye out and speak to festivals as its getting into festival season. There's always left over tents and they give them away to charities, can get some great tents for free. Sometimes need some minor repairs.
This is a rate relief! I’ve been Googling and searching after spending past month talking to my daughter about going camping (she’s 6) and she gotten so excited. Then I started pricing it up and a lot of TH-cam reviews have been firing stuff out at a arm and a leg cost and I was starting to think I’d have to tell my daughter it might to wait a year whilst we get the stuff together but this is just such a relief to find a full camp kit at a affordable price! 😊😊
Not entering this compo as I already have similar gear, but just wanted to say that giving this setup away is such a great and valuable thing to do. Whoever gets this year will have a whole world open up for them. Well done, fella.
what a lovely thing to do mate! i am currently on the way up after some serious mental health issues that have seen me hit the absolute lowest point in my life, nearly losing everyone i love. I am 3 weeks and 5 days sobre from drink and drugs. Walking and being outdoors is a big, big driver for me to keep going forward and keep changing for the better. hiking and wild camping is my goal/reward for staying clean. i would love to enter this comp but i am not on any social media. this list is something i will use as reference when i am able to buy myself something each month as a reward for staying on track! Cheers mate, your videos are an inspiration. Thank you.
You sir are a FECKIN legend 👍👍👍 you really do put a smile on the face of the Hunan race !!!! Thank you for being you . Much love from your friends in Wales Ritchie veteran and Raven xx
That's so nice of you to give away a gift to a newbie fellow bush crafter Hazey ole mate, good on ya champ. P.s hey love the slow motion of Mr Robin chops, just wondering how did you start the process of getting him to feed up close ? Regards Late mate from Tasmania
This is brilliant and super helpful. I’m looking to get out of my head and into the wilds at the age of 57 …. So super useful will certainly look at these item … been following for a year now and you have such an awesome manor about thanks so much for spending your time to share this stuff with us
Straight away save money on a bag, eurohike 65l £25 go outdoors or blacks, absolute beast of a bag been going strong for over 3 years with a stupid amount of weight in it and hanging off it
Took my friend out for his first ever wild camp the other night using old gear that I have and he loved it! He could really do with a set up like this! Sent him the video for inspiration and a good guide 😊
This is a brill set up! I have no need for it seeing as though I've spent the gdp of a small country on camping gear, but someone will really enjoy this.
I really want to try and start camping for a while now, I've always been captivated by all these camping videos on TH-cam. It's gonna take a while tho since I need to to save a lot of money to buy the gears needed, camping gears are kinda pricey here in the Philippines.
Just got back into camping with my 5 year old daughter but never wild camped. It's something I really want to try so this is really helpful. Subscribed.
Thanks again to You, Haze, I take my daughter hiking but really want her to get the camping experience I had as a kid, this kit will suit her perfectly 5*
Great upload chief, fantastic insight to all of of us who are day hikers and wondering what we really need to fulfill the extra step of wild camping and doing multi day hikes. Great stuff, donating the kit to a good cause too, whats life is about giving where we can and helping others out.
My 9yr old daughter loves watching ur videos with me. We are planning to do a local trail once the weather has improved, prob nearer August time so I'm trying to slowly kit her out altho finance is tight. Hopeing to raise money for either a military or mental health charity. I love your videos too. You are an inspiration to so many.
What a fantastic giveaway, your a hero!! That little zipped hole in the corner is for electrical hookup. I've followed you for years and love your whole approach to life, I already have a load of gear so no need to enter. Hope it goes to someone that'll get hooked.
Be wary of the UL80 camping matt. Had 2 and they do tend to deflate during the night so end up paying out more as have to go out again and get something more durable and reliable. Great Video.
I'm looking to do the coast to coast in summer , been caring for my mam n her dementia for last 4 years so I'm looking forward to getting away on my own, glad seen your video to get an idea of what I'll be needing
The opening on the tent is probably a power port to run an electric cord. Did you try the Coleman in the rain? I have yet to see a Coleman tent that did NOT leak in the rain. Usually because the rain fly does not provide enough coverage.
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm starting to feel inspired enough to get out and do some camping this year. I've not done any activities since losing my old staffy back in Feb and I've recently been diagnosed with heart failure after a big heart attack during Covid. Due to this I can't work enough hours to buy expensive camping gear, so this video will give me plenty to think about and might even make some videos aswell.
Hey Paul, I hope all is well with you. I'd be right up for that gear. My 16yr old is up for wild camping and I know he'd be very appreciative of it, and so would I, he currently spends all his time looking at the screen on his phone 😂😂
looks great! i haven't camped since 1982, when i was in Olean, New York, with the Burmese Sayadaw U Thila Wunta, and a group of us students of Buddhism were restoring a pagoda, in the forest. My tent was a lot like this one looks. What a super kit!
This was a great video, is great of you to do for another young enthusiast as you did before, can't beat a smile like that in the photo, was obviously well chuffed & this will make a great kit for another... Just checked it all out & the LE1000L rechargeable headtorch which I have & love, due to the combined spot&flood+red light & is currently 30% off😮... I may buy a spare...!😄👍
Hi, what a brilliant video, just planning to help my granddaughter start her walking life. Given her all my equipment but Sal Dry far too heavy. Thanks again x Maggie
That little zip is for a electric extension lead when your on a pitch. I suppose it would work with a solar set up too bud, panels outside power pack indoors 😮
I reckon that little opening will be for an electric hook up on campsites. Disappointed you’ve not included the disposable hand warmers. Absolute must. Lovely act of kindness there though mate.
Very kind of you hazy lad. That's a great little set up for someone just starting out.. I've just spent a small fortune on an osprey Atmos 65 and a wild country panacea can't wait to test them out
This would be perfect for my nephew who loves the outdoors. After watching your videos we started going out for forage and cook days in woodland, this would be awesome for him to try wild camping with me. ❤
If you consider that the tent sleeps 2 people the base weight would be even lower if you share it with a friend or partner. The tent weighs 3.4 kg, so that's a big difference.
Not entering, but interesting stuff. The pump I could go for. The sleep pad is a little slim, but very deep. The tent is palatial, but weighty. I have the knife, good choice. I tend to poop on the floor, bag it, bag that bag, then double zip lock that bag! Leave no trace Extreme! Otherwise yes, for a budget I think you're doing the right thing. Really though, I think a decent but mindful of price set up for 3 seasons needs a bag of sand spending on it.
Love your vids man. There's a lad at work and for 4years he's been itching to come away wildcamping and I know he'd love it and this would be the perfect opportunity to get him into it. Best of luck to whoever wins and enjoy LNT
Corner pocket/ window is for electric hook up on Campsites. Cable through then zip it up. Great vid as always.👍
What a good idea.
that's pretty smart really, especially as family campsites are where this sort of tent is going to be mostly pitched. well done designers.
you can also use them for solar panel connections if you're out in the wild. The main use is for electric hookups though.
that was my thought.
@@PolarRed It's a fairly standard feature on tents, we just don't see them on backpacking/trekking tents as they're going to be used in the wild
What an interesting video. I'm an older lady who used to love camping. I'm thinking of getting some bits together, so me and my Irish Wolfhound can have a few nights under the stars. Great guide, thank you.
Same Raven, I am 53 and watching this with the same enthusiasm as if I'm 23! Come on Hazey, give this kit to Raven :)!
@mandyocallaghan9809 I'm 64, just me n my dog. Spent lots of times camping when my children were young. We couldn't afford camp sites so found lovely places with steams and fields and just enjoyed fresh air and fun times. Hope you get to get out there soon.
I'm the oldest of us, I guess. Soon to be 66, and feeling more like 24.
@Olhamo I'm still young at heart, longing to go sleep under the stars with my old dog by my side. Its a must soon as the weather improves. 😃
Cheers Haze
sounds like a good cause to support Haze
id back you to get this and good on you yes there is cubs and scouts etc but to get kids away from social media ps5 etc is all good
This would be ideal for myself. I’ve been subscribed for a few years now and my mental health is depleting recently. I really appreciated your advice on getting out and about and plan to do so as soon as I’m able. Keep up the good work mate.
I reckon this would be great for me!!!, I’ve just stumbled on this video and I reckon I could sell all this gear for £299 !
Keep an eye out and speak to festivals as its getting into festival season. There's always left over tents and they give them away to charities, can get some great tents for free. Sometimes need some minor repairs.
Your not only Film Maker of the Year, but the reason your the best TH-camr is your honesty and generosity.

Great set-up. I think the mystery mini-zip is for an electric hook-up if you pitch up on a commercial camp-site
You sir are a FECKIN legend 👍👍👍 you really do put a smile on the face of the Hunan race !!!! Thank you for being you .
Much love from your friends in Wales Ritchie veteran and Raven xx
That Robin clip was amazing
That's so nice of you to give away a gift to a newbie fellow bush crafter Hazey ole mate, good on ya champ.
P.s hey love the slow motion of Mr Robin chops, just wondering how did you start the process of getting him to feed up close ? Regards Late mate from Tasmania
The small vent that you asked about Hazey is an E port, enabling an electric cable to be brought into the tent…that’s handy!
Looks like a males wee wee window too me
This is brilliant and super helpful. I’m looking to get out of my head and into the wilds at the age of 57 …. So super useful will certainly look at these item … been following for a year now and you have such an awesome manor about thanks so much for spending your time to share this stuff with us
I want to go camping with my daughter! Thank you for the tips!
Can’t forget a lovely bottle of wine for the cold nights, great video love the gear!!

So lovely to give the gear away. Hope whoever has it is enjoying their summer!
The little zip is for a power cord inlet. Love the bird at the end of video.
This is a brill set up! I have no need for it seeing as though I've spent the gdp of a small country on camping gear, but someone will really enjoy this.
I'd imagine that little hole could be for electric hook up at campsites, maybe. Not sure.

That does look like an awesome tent for the price. Be perfect for a spot of father son camping
Very kind of you Hazey, great kit and I hope it will inspire.
Just got back into camping with my 5 year old daughter but never wild camped. It's something I really want to try so this is really helpful. Subscribed.
You're a beauty. Good for you to give gear to some aspiring adventurers! Take care mate!
Great idea. Best of luck to everyone entering. I'm good for gear but hope someone is genuinely blessed by this generosity 😊
Hi Haze the little zipped door is if you run electric and want a cable running for electric hookup
Thanks again to You, Haze, I take my daughter hiking but really want her to get the camping experience I had as a kid, this kit will suit her perfectly 5*
Hi the zipped corner is for putting a power lead through if on a campsite with electric hook up
Great upload chief, fantastic insight to all of of us who are day hikers and wondering what we really need to fulfill the extra step of wild camping and doing multi day hikes. Great stuff, donating the kit to a good cause too, whats life is about giving where we can and helping others out.

Ah, brings a tear to the eye, you’re a gent, fully kitted out myself, so no need to try and blag it, but I am looking forward to seeing who gets it. 🤙
The opening on the tent is probably a power port to run an electric cord. Did you try the Coleman in the rain? I have yet to see a Coleman tent that did NOT leak in the rain. Usually because the rain fly does not provide enough coverage.

Very likeable chap is Mr haze brightens my day right up
I love that you do this type of giveaway, a good heart. :) Thanks for sharing all you do! :) :)
Hey Paul, I hope all is well with you. I'd be right up for that gear. My 16yr old is up for wild camping and I know he'd be very appreciative of it, and so would I, he currently spends all his time looking at the screen on his phone 😂😂
Been looking for a video for a starter camper thank you I did not know were to start to be honest
Brill. I got knee problems. Next year after my operation I’m going out wild camping. Take care Pal. Follow you all the time 👍👍👍
Agreed, it's a good starter tent. Lots of bang for the buck.
Awesome video to stumble across. I now know what to purchase as I’m going to start next year with my 6year old lad. Thank you for the information.
The little corner zip is for electric hook up on a campsite
Absolutely invaluable - just got back from Wales after my first camping trip and will use this to prepare for the next trip
Great first time set up. Next time your looking for inspiration come up to the northern edge of the moors and see how I do it as full time homeless
The small zip is for putting power cables through
looks great! i haven't camped since 1982, when i was in Olean, New York, with the Burmese Sayadaw U Thila Wunta, and a group of us students of Buddhism were restoring a pagoda, in the forest. My tent was a lot like this one looks. What a super kit!
it made me smile to see the inside of that tent.
Great 👍. Another couple of weeks, hopefully warms up a bit. Good tent I thought.
Nice one Hazey , good to see People giving back to those who are less fortunate than ourselves !
Think the little hole is for if you camping on a site and can hook up to an electrical outlet so you out your cable through it
Your videos make me smile. Thanks.
I’d guess the little zipped opening is for an electric hook up if on a camp site.
Great video, zip at side is for electrical hook up at campsites. Excellent budget tent. Thanks
Yep ... Hazey ... Opening so you can plug in to the mains electric in the nearest tree trunk when wild camping in a remote forest !!!! 🌳🌳🌳🌳🤠🤠
O wow! The clip at the end makes it.
Hi, what a brilliant video, just planning to help my granddaughter start her walking life. Given her all my equipment but Sal
Dry far too heavy. Thanks again x Maggie
The only problem I can see with a 10 is it very very light. Decathlon do a lot of tents at blackout and I find this is a game changer
Loved the ending! Amazing shots of the Robin😁
Vent in the corner is in case you need to pick it and flick during the night
That little zip - it's so you can get a cable in if you're on a site with electricity!
You young man are a beautiful soul! Top dude!!
Dude you’re an inspiration to being kind. I’ve no doubt this loot will make someone over the moon
A scholar and a gentleman. Bravo squire
Very kind of you hazy lad. That's a great little set up for someone just starting out.. I've just spent a small fortune on an osprey Atmos 65 and a wild country panacea can't wait to test them out
Great 👍 package mate and very informative as usual keep up the good work ❤
Top man hazy that’s a great kit for starting out with I’m sure some young fella or fillete will be delighted with it
great stuff, the hole is for power at a campsite
Great bit of kit hazey do hope young lad or needy starter gets kit
God bless you. What a generous thing to do.
Hope right person gets the lot.
I think that small hole near the floor with a zip may be for an electric cable to come into the tent from outside if you are on a site with hook up
Always good seeing someone who cares about all. 👍👍
This would be perfect for my nephew who loves the outdoors. After watching your videos we started going out for forage and cook days in woodland, this would be awesome for him to try wild camping with me. ❤
Doing a lot of giveaways, what a guy. All the best Hazey 🤙
7:34 Electric cable entry.

I have a brain injury and have gathered new and second hand kit together, i just need some courage to go and try out.
Hazeys beginner bags, ? Branching out hazey? I like it , Picasso.
Literally just starting my amazon wishlist for camping gear and this pops up on my feed
Love your vids man. There's a lad at work and for 4years he's been itching to come away wildcamping and I know he'd love it and this would be the perfect opportunity to get him into it. Best of luck to whoever wins and enjoy LNT
The little zip is ro put an electric hook up cable through
Awesome video,Some of those items would be a great help!💯
Good man Hazey, i've got far too much stuff but it's a good starter for someone
Hazey that low zip is for a power lead.
*_In accordance with the price, the camping equipment is still a recommendation in my opinion. greetings from Indonesia_*
awesome video
hope you find the right person to give all that gear away too like that lad he looked chuffed to bits take care ❤️
Robert totally made my day, thanks!
gonna get on it this year mate and i'll definitely use your links for the bits i need :)
The hole in the tent is for a quick slash if ya can't be assed going outside haha
Thanks for taking the time to make this kit, great kit.
The little zip is for mains hook up. I thought all tents had them
Great video idea .....thanks for the tips pal
I love that you do this, so awesome to share the adventure; well done, as always.
Yes mate! Little zip is for electric hook up yanno
