MEET the team behind Confidential Kennels - the fourth-generation breeders of the colossal Cane Corso dog breed. These dogs can weigh over 150lbs and sell for up to $10,000. The mostly-female crew is at the forefront of resurrecting the ancient breed that was used for fighting in wars in Ancient Roman times. Confidential Kennel owners Angela and Jesse have been breeding and training these dogs for over a decade.

sounds like they tried to train these dogs like guard dogs but really they’re just scared, aggressive and timid. a guard dog should be confident, fearless and protective. a dog in general should also have a close bond with its owner, these dogs don’t seem as though they have any bond with the owner. and the way the man pulled the dog out of the crate with disgusting and impatient, these dogs will snap at them one day and the owners are to blame

As a former Corso owner and absolute lover of the breed, I find a few things in this video disturbing. 1. The treatment of the dog in the van is harsh and unacceptable 2. The dog they are still breeding is too old and deserves to have a loving retirement. I'll admit I am not huge on the whole guard dog training to begin with but there is no balance in this video? Why kennel these dogs up like this, Corso's need constant socialization and adore their family. I fear for the breed as it gains popularity.

There are a handful of families that I’ve met in the treasure Coast area of Florida. They always had their dogs out walking through the stores that allowed dogs. These dogs were impeccably trained and so well mannered it was unbelievable. Especially this morning. I had to go over to Walmart to pick up a part that I knew that they had and when I came around the corner into an aisle here is this man and his wife and the wife behind him with the cart and the man’s in front and he’s got this gigantic Cane Corso, I mean this guy was huge and black like a dark brown brindle black with very little brindle, it was almost like somebody gave him a frosting. The owner looks at me and he says oh don’t be afraid and I’m like I don’t worry about it I train dogs For a long time. I said your guys beautiful and he wouldn’t let the dog near me like the dog would try to sniff mini be like nope, and it he said the same thing it was sietz I think it is in German. The dog went right back to him and sat on his foot. He wanted to sniff me again because he obviously smelt my dog on me. Finally, I was talking to the man and it turns out he was ex-law-enforcement, and had this beautiful dog and was doing some training and I could not believe how well he had trained this dog. As soon as he gave the dog, the one command, the dog was allowed to come over and love on me, and the dog was all over me. It was the cutest thing. He was bigger than me. I can totally see where people will be is afraid of these dogs. If there was an owner that didn’t have their dog like this completely trained to be out in a social situation, then that person should be totally liable of having the dog out in the first place. The guy totally agreed with me. I thanked him for his service. I actually got his card too. His dog was absolutely one of the most beautiful Cano Corso’s I’ve ever seen. He was absolutely stunning.

There are far better kennels/breeders to feature this breed, with far more knowledgeable handlers that have way nicer dogs - and by nicer I mean that they are not fearful frightened (Yakare) or off-standard (Bella), and on and on and on. You are doing more of a disservice to the breed and the true fans of this breed than anything else with videos featuring this calibre of breeder & dog. Ribbons don't translate to good dogs. Is it just me or do most of the breeders on this channel give some red flags about the health/wellbeing of both the animals and also the breeders ability to properly care for and train them. Glad to see they are adding people to the team, because dragging scared dogs out by the neck to be shown off then kenneled away, and admitting to being bitten many times, is not a good look.

3-4 generations of dog breeding and you still don't know anything more about the breed than the breed standard when it comes to confirmation . These dogs are smart and like all mastiff breeds they get there feelings hurt very easily ,these dogs are all bark no bite . A good guard dog is stable not scared ,the dogs look like they don't know what there purpose is 👎

Even the phrase "approximately 3-4" generations is shady. It's either 3 or 4. Was my great-grandfather a breeder? No? Okay, so it's three generations. She's trying to pad her family pedigree.

I have been a dog trainer for over 30 years now and in my opinion this, sadly, is a perfect example of how NOT to train dogs. The dogs dietary and physical needs are well taken care of but the attention devoted to their mental wellbeing is frankly abysmal. The dogs are obedient but also scared, and this makes them aggressive. This whole thing is a triumph of profit over humaneness and I have seen it all too often over my career.

The VAST majority of corso outside of southern Italy aren't actually corso bloodlines. The Italians back in the 80's/90's (The sneaky devils they are lol) threw any breed in the mix like lab/boxer/staff/rottweiler and on and on then fudged the papers before exporting them and kept the best of the best for themselves. I'm in the south of Italy and there's a running joke that they call American corso "Amerimutts" as they're basically mongrels.

She’s misinformed on old times, many older breeds than 2000 years ago. See Asia

Someone should tagg real owners to this dog breed and showcase real responsible people. These peoples are jokes.

Something isn’t right with these people and the way they care for these dogs. Poor things, I want a corso so bad.

Does anyone know what they championed in? By what I saw on their site it seemed like it was something maybe similar to Schutzhund which is essentially a test for a dogs stability and workability which would mean that these dogs should be pretty decent, especially if they championed in it. This type of sport is very serious and it takes a balanced driven working dog to even be certified in it. I know these dogs may seem off but we can’t judge their kennel just by a seven minute video. I will say that I don’t like how they treated their dogs in the video but if they have championed in a sport similar to what I mentioned these dogs should be top notch working lines.

I love how they breed for workability and not just size

I couldn't even watch 2 mins of this video. I sensed something shady really quickly with these two. I'm out!
