I got my 2 year old rescue Cane Corso from a shelter. He had been abused by a hateful individual that ran an illegal dog fighting ring and because of new and old injuries and him being traumatized all his life I was told I would probably have him for a year or two at the most so they told me if I gave him a good home for his last months I could have him for free... Sure vet bills for surgery etc was expensive, but he pulled through for me. He died in my arms in his sleep 16 years old which is WAY above par for a Cane Corso.. we were so close that it bordered telepathy. Best dog ever. Drax made me relive all those years. Lovely dog.
The temperment and personality of a well socialized Cane Corso are honestly unnmatched. Absolutely wonderful dogs, Drax is definitely in the perfect hands.
I love it when people take their time to integrate a new baby into the dog's life, instead of just getting rid of the dog, as we know some people do. This family did it right. Wonderful!
if you get rid of your dog because your having a kid not only are you just a terrible person but your denying your kids the happiness that comes from having dogs. The only people who get rid of their dogs for their kid are like mega hoe's and thots who have had more trains ran on them than any railway on earth.
I'm on the board of a major JRT rescue, and I can't tell you how many dogs would come in because their owners had a baby and one of the parents freaked out about safety, so they gave their adult dog away. Instead of smartly introducing the new baby into the "pack" (as the dogs see it.) We've had so many great, well-mannered and socialized Jacks come into rescue that wouldn't hurt a fly. But it's good in the end as we find fantastic new families for the dogs and get them out of what could be a terrible situation with a family that doesn't understand canine behavior.

The bond between the dog and child is obvious and palpable. This was extremely well done. He has a friend, a companion, and bodyguard rolled in to one. It shows that any dog can be a good family pet, if its trained in the right way.

No, not agreed, it comes with conditions, whilst yes I'd like to believe that instinct does develop, a huge amount of training must go into it so the dog recognises who the pack leaders are. ESPECIALLY with Cane Corsos, in England earlier this year a 3 year old boy was killed by one because the owner had not sufficiently put the time and effort in to train him up. If you are an owner of one of these dogs, you MUST recognises the responsibility you have to the dog and the people he'll interact with, and people who get these dogs solely as status symbols should give them up, likewise those who are unprepared for the effort it takes to train and socialise them.
The dogs in my house over the years it’s so easy to see the social monarchy they all think of as our pack, my mom is the alpha, they love her they obsess over her, my dad is the beta they respect him and like him, my sister is the delta and I’m just a pup. Once my dog bit me because I scared him while he was sleeping, he thought I was an intruder and bit me, the moment he realized it was me he let go and spent the rest of the morning cuddled up by my side staring at me, he looked so guilty. The second rule of the pack is always protect the pups, and the animals they are descended from only accept a lone member until it hurts the pups, then they tear it limb from limb Isn’t that cute!
@@bmw328igearhead I don't believe any dog breeds should be banned, that said, some dogs require much more attention, training and experience than other dogs, Cane Corsos being one of them. If you're a first time owner going into it blind and don't do any research, then you're lazy and a fucking idiot, because if you don't give certain breeds an outlet for their energy, then they'll find an outlet themselves. So being an owner you take on that responsibility yourself, and if your dog attacks someone because of you're lack of care and injures them, then unfortunately youre dog will probably be destroyed and you yourself put in jail. The worst types of people obviously those who get dogs as nothing more than status symbols.

This could have been me and our dog growing up. Even the most shy dog or cat, horse or even crows will warm to me very quickly.... they seem to know somehow that I love them and react accordingly.
This is almost feels like it should be a 'son grows up to be like his dog brother' video instead of the usual other way around lol. Love how they share the outlook post together when they hear something outside.
Dogs, especially the guarding breeds, are very protective of family, especially the children. It is instinctive. They know their purpose in life and are proudly dedicated, totally.
What a beautiful, loving relationship Drax and his tiny human have! I was particularly impressed with how careful the parents were with introducing their new baby to Drax, and for letting it be gradual, over time. Their growing years ahead will be marvellous for the entire family and the parents have given their beloved boy the best possible friend to grow up with. It is clear that Drax adores his tiny human and loves to be with him, and they make a great pair, whose adventures will fill the house with joyous laughter and happy barks!
Wow! What a big dog with a gentle soul! The way he deals with the baby then kid is really amazing. And protective also... like it's instincts tell him to... Great video and great story...

My mother didn’t want me so she turned my care over to the border collie. He was a wonderful parent, friend, and companion. He loved me unconditionally and didn’t beat me or tell me I was unwanted and useless. I have had dogs my whole life. I think I was very lucky to have him.
My Pressa, Draco, was exactly the same! When I had 13 major operations, to restore walking he lived essentially by my side and tried to help recovery by laying his big head on my feet. When he went for a walk, he let all the little dogs chase him. I saved him from the dogfighting world by buying him as a puppy. He was being kept in a garage in a Canadian winter. Some people should be required to live like that for a few days! This world is full of sick people!
Dogs are really a great gift to humanity and give every bit as much as they receive.....albeit in different ways. The sad thing is that their lives are all to short! Which is a big reason to treat them good while they're here.
A gift? No. We've forced them to be heavily inbred for hundreds of years. GSs have their back/joint issues. Larger breeds don't live for too long. Toys like pugs have TONS of medical issues. All because of inbreeding to create the breeds. Dogs are great and we link up with them deeply, but we humans imposed ourselves on *them.*
Such a great experience for a young child to grow up with a dog (or cat). My boys grew up with cats and dogs. Our German Shorthair Pointer was such a kid friendly dog. My kids played the cats and it was so important developmentally to grow up having unconditional love from animals. Now that they're grown, animals are a big part of their lives. They are family members, not at all "just pets". I could never live without them.
Little did the parents realize, Drax had a bit more intuition than they gave him credit for. Cane Corso are a fantastic family breed with great self-awareness & high intellect.
I'd say that's taking it a little far. I've had numerous Cane Corsos and to call them a fantastic family breed is a bit of a stretch. There would be many other breeds that are much more qualified as a high tier family breed. I love them, and they can be wonderful family dogs but are not for first time dog owners. And if you were a first time I would definitely advise getting a female. I'm sorry that's just the truth.
I absolutely love Cane Corso. Their balanced nature makes a well bred and properly trained and socialized Corso a perfect family guardian. Drax is quite a specimen, his coat is gorgeous! And he's at a good weight too, nice LEAN 125 lbs!
Any dog breed can learn to be loving and affectionate to their family as long as those people treat them the right way and give them the love they deserve.

I brought my son (16) home from the hospital to 6 dogs in varying stages of behavior modification. 13lbs-120lbs in size. He was the most well protected child in our neighborhood!
Dogs are really spiritual. It can also be said that animals are very spiritual. There are many warm videos between animals and babies. They are like nanny. They really take care of babies and protect them from harm. It's so beautiful, I hope he can accompany the baby to grow up healthy.
..........Forgive me but I think there is something much deeper happening at 03:23 than your son reaching "to see if his puppy was there"! I think your son heard his puppy whine in distress and he reached out to comfort Drax by gently patting him on his back! I am impressed how the family gave both the pup and newborn physical space between each other in the early moments to safely build understanding and boundaries. Too many patents just shove their dog or any animal for that matter together thinking it’s cute not thinking about the dangers it could pose.
What dangers could be posed? A badly raised Yorkshire Terrier can get jealous of a person of any age and leave scars... Large dogs suffer so much from ignorance of their natural reality and the creation of unnatural aggressive traits by despicable humans. There are more bad people than bad dogs, but nobody writes about a human or some humans and "the dangers it/they could pose" without knowing the specific human(s) that could/should be feared. If all our politicians behaved like well-raised large dogs there would be less physical, moral, and economic violence, and our planet would not be on a heated highway to oblivion.

They're brothers❤ i wish dogs lived forever 😢

Ingrained in every dog's mind is a simple rule: "Protect the Pack." If a dog chooses your family as their pack, it is the highest honor.
ОРХИДЕЯ
Agreed
The second rule of the pack is always protect the pups, and the animals they are descended from only accept a lone member until it hurts the pups, then they tear it limb from limb
Isn’t that cute!
As cute as this giant is, I'm sure that when the kid is in danger, the attackers will have much more to be worried about. A great couple.

Too many patents just shove their dog or any animal for that matter together thinking it’s cute not thinking about the dangers it could pose.
What dangers could be posed? A badly raised Yorkshire Terrier can get jealous of a person of any age and leave scars...
