Shari Cupertino and her Cane Corso, Brutale have been tearing up the AKC shows here on the West coast. The very first moment I saw this boy in the ring I knew I had to get him on Dogumentary TV. I'm very happy to be presenting Brutale to you.
At nearly 28 inches at the shoulder and often weighing more than 100 pounds, with a large head, alert expression, and muscles rippling beneath their short, stiff coat, Corsi are at a glance intimidating creatures. Their imposing appearance is their first line of defense against intruders. As one writer put it, “An understated air of cool competence, the kind of demeanor you’d expect from a professional bodyguard, is the breed’s trademark.”
Corsi are intelligent, loyal, eager to please, versatile, and intensely loyal to their humans, but are also assertive and willful, and can end up owning an unwitting owner. As with any other big guardian dog, responsible breeding and early socialization with people and other dogs is vital.

My guy looks just like this guy without the cropped ears, he would definitely tell you to sit if he thought he could get away with it. They are big strong smart dogs. Please don't get one if you don't have a lot of time and interest in working with them. Garibaldi is a very sweet good boy with socialization, constant training, careful diet and lots of exercise.

I could never own a different breed again. My Corso is 15 months and I have never been as bonded with a dog as I have been with him. We bring him everywhere....to the gym the mall etc and he is a superstar wherever we go.
I have fallen in love with the Cane Corso breed and am now spend my days deep in the world of TH-cam researching, obsessing, and preparing for when I get one. I thought I would reply to the man that started my obsession! Sending an abundance of virtual over to Bruce !!
Your videos have really opened my eyes on what it means to be a leader to our dogs. They have definitely saved my future pups from a weak leader. I am currently saving up for your full Cane Corso online course: I'm all the way in South Africa and the exchange rate to dollars is far from good. Nevertheless, one day I will get the course and will be happy being ,even a fragment of, a leader that you are to bruce to my Cane Corso.

Smartest breed I've ever owned. EXTREMELY intelligent and trainable (as long as they respect you). I accidentally trained my girl to come running for spiders in the house whenever they scare me. She will barrel down a door within seconds of hearing me startle. I also accidentally trained her to alert me whenever squirrels are on the bird feeder... as she noticed that they annoy me. 😂 Incredible instinct for safety vs real danger. She will ignore normal people on the street, but there was one time a very scary man was walking towards me with aggressive body language and did not see her beside me (bushes were blocking the view)...that is the only time I have ever seen her truly angry. Honestly. Terrifying. She sounded like a monster. Her hackles were raised and she instinctively pur herself in front of me. He immediately turned away. Im so grateful she was with me that evening. And have never seen her resort to that behavior since.

Our dog charged at a police officer who I brought into our backyard looking for someone one night. Out of five officers he singled him out and stopped in his tracks when I said stop. They say animals have a sixth sense. He never looked at None of the other officers . They looked at their coworker differently that night.

@@peterabnormal327 ive been around and owned mastiff breeds since i could walk, its a giant responsibility and it does take consistency.
But if you research the dog, look up either a good breeder or possibly a kennel. Get it well socialised from an early age is My best tip along with keeping up activation as a dog doesnt have a off switch and built up energy usually means trouble.
But end of lecture, i would def. Recommend a Cane Corso 😀

We had a beautiful Cane Corso that died young 4 years old from heart disease. I've had other breeds but this it the BEST type dog you can have for your family pet. They are the best of both worlds. A faint lap dog that will protect your family at all cost.

I want one so bad. I love mastiffs in general because they are massive and intimidating, but are sweet dogs underneath it all.
I have a bull mastiff, zoe. Looks like she could eat you in one gulp, but she's a big, sweet cuddlebug who snores.
I have grown close to a Cane Corso - my friend injured his shoulder when his dog was four months. My friend and I would take my dog and our friends Corso out regularly to the park. We grew attached to him and so did my dog. Everyone at the park liked him too with his handsome black coat and friendly nature Corso is a fantastic breed - something very special about them.
I own a Cane Corso, Great animal 14 months now & Extremely Loyal.
My last dog was a Rottweiler from Germany, another fantastic DOG. Been a dog owner my whole life. I wish people could be more like these dogs.
We would live in a different world.
Is it different experience? Was gonna get a block head German pup but I saw the corso and never saw one before so I don't regret getting one.

Careful with "big bone", many large breeds, specially mastiffs, have been messed up because of that focus.

I have a Cane Corso mix - we think she's mixed with boxer but she was a rescue so we don't know for sure. She is pretty timid, especially considering her breed. Something must have happened to her when she was young, before we rescued her, but she is the sweetest girl and we love her so much. She also has her big, floppy, natural ears and it's one of my favorite things about her! She's 8 now, so I'm not sure how much longer she'll be with us, but she's been an absolute joy to have in our lives! 🥰 ❤ Zoe

@@aym1240 mine drools after he's drinking water or when I'm eating something good.. Haha. They smell just like any other dog. I give my boy a bath about every three weeks or when he starts to stink. He's my velcro dog. Always next to me. I'm self employed and work in a garage but he stays pretty clean for the most part

We got our first corso a little over a year ago after seeing your videos and going out to see some local breeders. This is absolutely correct. If you are looking for an active, loyal, obedient, loving guard dog then the corso is the perfect breed. We love our pup and are constantly amazed at how smart he is. I'll probably never get another breed for the rest of my life.

I've had a Cane Corso for three years now, hands down the best behaved, nicest, and most beautiful dog I've ever had. Her name is Eden and She's now pushing 120lbs and still is so gentle and loving towards kids and other dogs. We also have a female German Shepard that we leave her home with all day and have never had any problems. She's is so nice towards strangers but still protects my girlfriend and I if anyone seems hostile towards us. Best dog I've ever had and I will never not have a Cane Corso in my life. 10/10 best dog!!!

I was asking my dad if I could get a Cain Corso puppy 4 years ago. He said these dogs were made for killing, and they were fighting dogs. About 3 years ago I got my 2nd Cain corso and they’re my best friends.

That would be the moloch/moloser the ancestral breed of all bulls and mastiffs which includes the corso and argentino as there were no corso in 53B.C.

I've been considering this breed for many years now. Not sure why I haven't finally ended up with one. I remember back in the early 90's I wasn't too interested in them when I would see them at the ARBA shows. But more and more started learning about them and seeing some people do some great things with them and really breeding some nice dogs. I love that her first goal is temperament. Could not agree more, back in the early 90's I met some rather sharp/shy CC's which was also what initially put me off from the breed. Probably did not get enough socialization. Since then I have seen far more good dogs coming from solid breeders and handlers. This guy is gorgeous! But, for me I want to keep the ears. :)

Enjoy watching your videos. You have posted some videos of some great looking dogs. I am partial to the Working Breeds. I am seeing some breeds that I would love to own some day once I get a 10+ acre property. I am living out my childhood dream now that I have retired from the US Army. I am an animal lover by heart...I have always wanted a Rottweiler and an Alaskan Malamute. But, currently own a Rott/Lab mix, an American Pit Bull Terrier, a Chihuahua, and a Yorkie/Poodle mix. Plus, own 2 cats.
I love these dogs, super handsome breed.
