Pinan ピンアン・平安 - Introducido en 1904. Creador: Itosu Ankō. Itosu Ankō creó el Pinan kata para enseñar a elemental y jr. estudiantes de secundaria dentro del sistema escolar de Okinawa a principios del siglo XX. Estos katas básicos estaban destinados a mejorar la coordinación de los estudiantes, desarrollar la fuerza y enseñarles los movimientos introductorios del Karate. Pinan es la pronunciación okinawense del chino, Pнng’ān o At Peace. Esto generalmente se dice en un contexto de “estar seguro”, por ejemplo, algo que se le diría a un miembro de la familia antes de un viaje. Según Mabuni Kenwa, el nombre original de Itosu para el kata Pinan era Channan. Heian es la pronunciación japonesa de Pinan. Estos katas se practican en la mayoría de los estilos Shōrin-ryū y Shitō-ryū. Nice high blocks. It's not often that high blocks are done with the proper forward angle of the extending arm. Lots of great stance, hip and stability here. Too. Thank you for sharing.
It depends on how it is interpreted. Some see it as a block and others see it as a strike.
The blocks exposed the vein in the wist in they way they were doing it, it should of been done at an angle where exposed. Bascially the wrist should have the exposed part pointing down.

Pinan nidan was the first kata i learnt while i was white belt, it was also by far the easiest ive done so far

Genial, muy bien ejecutado. En el dojo en el que me estoy formando este kata es Pinan Shodan y es el primero que aprendí como cinturón blanco. Ahora soy cinturón amarillo y estoy aprendiendo el Pinan Nidan, solo que no es este, sino otro distinto que supongo que en el estilo concreto que practican en este dojo que sale en el vídeo se llamará diferente. El Pinan Nidan que estoy aprendiendo comienza con un uchi uke/jodan uke en neko-ashi dachi, luego va un uchi otoshi en yori ashi y después un tettsui uchi en heiko dachi. Se ve sencillito, aunque es el primero que mete movimientos de pierna, así que tengo que hacerme con ello 😁
What's the difference between heian and pinan
In our style this is Pinan Shodan and there are no sanchin dachi stances. Sanchin dachi stances are silly in this kata. I don't know who changed it to include them. They are not used at this level of training (white/orange).
Some of this katas were curved out Shotokan and have now been integrated into shito ryu as basic katas for white, orange and green.
