Do I find anything?!

So, got cancer- in treatment- not riding yet!!! Love stories.& driven videos. So, TAYM, TBW, that bloke on a motorcycle, etc...get my views & appreciation!
@DCGULL01 Very sorry to hear that David, My very best wishes for a speedy recovery.👍👍
Well that made me jump 😂
My father was a bricklayer and he called your twisted wall 'drunken sailor bond' as it was built like that for added strength when using only one skin (4&1/2") of brickwork on a very long run of wall. It saved adding piers every 6 to 8 feet the hold it up. Not the easiest of walls to build was you can't use a string line, especially before the spirit level was used/invented. Only plumb rules then.
@user-om5lm3en4b What a great comment! and I have learned something new!
Brilliant tale. I used to live near Shrewton in Wiltshire and on the road between there and Tilshead was a junction locally called 'the gibbet'.
As young kids we always tried to give each other a scare when walking past it at night.
I'm still doing it now!!!🤣😁
My heart is still racing! I never fall for tricks like that but I was not expecting that lol! Very interesting ride along and a bit of history too. Cheers!
A great tale. Its good to hear of historical events up & down the country
Well, it's a tale! (but a true one!(😁
The crinkly walls are built that way for strength, the unusual shape for a wall allows them to be built using a single row of bricks. This also makes them cheaper to build than a traditional straight wall which would need to be 2 bricks wide, traditional walls also tend to have pillars to add strength & these are usually a column of 4-6 bricks per layer.
That was fascinating! Thank you for showing us this. I would love to see more local places and stories. But please no more jump scares 😳
@felixVanDiemen OK, I promise!
@@Volcanicbrown1878 🤣 thanks
Love your moto ride stories!! Thanks for taking us along!! Ride safe. Cheers😊
Glad you like them!
What a video mate. My wife's killing her self laughing following me dropping back from the ceiling mate, jumped out of my skin 😅
Just come across your channel and it's brilliant mate love the mix of motorcycles and stories, I can't believe your packing it in.
Anyway have a wonderful Christmas mate I've thoroughly enjoyed your channel mate.
really enjoyed the guided history tour, very interesting. a refreshing change from the usual bike videos.
thanks for uploading.
Glad you enjoyed it
Just watched this again ,really enjoyed this old tale !,apparently there was a Gibbet just opposite my wood yard in the middle of nowhere in Wiltshire, its on top of a hill so it could be seen from miles around.
Very good to see your videos back online!!,I particularly like the ones about your 750 Interceptors(not sure if they're back on yet?)
Please keep them coming!👍
Glad you enjoyed it
What a great story, I'll retrace your footsteps in the summer.
Easy to do!
They built things to last back then.
A post out of B&Q won't last 400 days.
Interesting stuff.
Oh how true that is!🤣🤣😁
Love this neck of the woods. I frequently cross country on the bike from Ely to Woodbridge using my Calimoto App and it’s “twisty” setting. I may take a detour next time to visit the mill….but not the gibbet perhaps! 😂
There are some great roads I ride around to get to Newmarket, on the return ride I do Newmarket, Chevely, Clair, Long Melford, Sudbury, then cross country to Ipswich. Recommended!
Excellent, really like that kind of stuff.
BTW. I always carry the top/bottom of a large tin like dog food or ravioli, that has to be removed with a tin opener (safety type best). Keep one in every piece in MC clothing. Never get caught out on soft ground.
Keep them coming.
Never thought of that!😁
Loved this one. And I ended up nearly screaming there!
Brilliant story Mr Brown. There's a wood up Starvecrow Hill on the edge of Tonbridge with a pond in the middle. I was told that once a year a branch on a tree jolts down on the anniversary of somebody hanging themselves. I never ventured up there to check if it does or doesn't tho.💀☠
It was all a very, very long time ago! You should go check it out and see!😁
@@Volcanicbrown1878 Not a bad idea. Can't be any more frightening than the woods you went into with the screamer!
