Can believe these guys dont have some sort of DEDICATED engine test cell. There were thousands and thousands of dollars of tools and equipment in that cell. That engine fireballs into total dynamic disassembly and wipes out all the tools at well.
Lmfao guys that's gotta be the best bench racing chit show I've seen in a while, my camp and yours would get along so good haha love what you're doing keep on keeping on godspeed.
Awesome video again guys . That was insane , I have been around when a blower lifted off in thousand pieces and its not fun at all . thank god that was in a controlled environment . Look at the old video of Doug Herbert blower explosion at Pomona and my brother and myself were standing at the starting line . If memory serves me right his car broke the crank which started the explosion . Take care and catch you on your next video .
It is definitely a crazy thing. I was standing on the fence near the starting line at Memphis as a kid when a top fueler, I want to say maybe Larry Dixon, but can't remember, popped one in the burnout and I remember feeling the heat and concussion from it in my chest, small pieces were raining down but thankfully with the bags and restraints no big pieces got out.
I was at Famoso about 15 years ago when a TF car hydrauliced on the starting line. It sounded like a canon went off. Never seen so many older grown men run so fast! Fortunately no one was injured.
Rolled around under my truck on fire and the 4th extinguisher my buddy tried finally let go a blast to stop the flames. An Easter Saturday to remember.
Dang that's crazy. That stuff isn't anything to play with for sure. I got home and checked all the extinguishers in the shop, and am looking to get more. I was standing outside and was going for a hose, but I don't know if it would have done any good. Luckily it was just the blowby venting out of the catch tank so as soon as he got the fuel shut off, it went out.
@@NitroUnion It took some hair off my chin, ponytail and singed my vest, but saved the truck and completed the mission. Company had already filled the dining room table and they smelled me long before I entered the room. Always made a fashionable entrance!
Tk takin action with the first fire extinguisher WTH dam thing aint workin and mopin the floor and singin that song LMAO.....oh and can't forget the grudge talk....be well guys 🙂👍🙏
I see your old man is not a big fan of the LS engine LOL!! I'm not a big fan too but I got a 5.3 and it makes 1100HP on E85 with a single turbo and the only thing I did was gap the rings and did a DIY port job. They make good power for very little money. That's what I like about them
Haha yeah, he can't help but to talk crap about them, he's old school to the core, but I know he also certainly recognizes that they are impressive for what they are. I certainly do. The buddy of ours that he's talking crap to has a twin turbo 6.0 in a street truck that makes around 850 to the tire on E85. It's very impressive for a mostly stock engine.
The LS motors make power cant deny that. If your looking for more than 2000hp you definitely have to go another route, especially if you want it to last
Just found this channel so what actually happened on the dyno?Bunch of big good old boys trash talkin cracking me up kinda side tracked me. Subscribed.
Absolutely, once that happened, he was able to find an issue with the fuel system that was causing it to go lean. If not for the dyno, it probably would have taken several trips to the track to trace down the issue.
Thank you! It will be getting some more love and updates soon! We have Miss Fitt in the shop now doing some quick upgrades for this season and Aces High is back in line behind it!
😂 if it ain’t running it ain’t going to run. Fuck your “I ran it this morning. I want to see oil pressure built up with a cordless drill, before startup.
Once I got back and reviewed the footage, you can see as the rpm's went up, the vent on top of the catch tank in the front started venting a fair amount of vapor, and when the burst panel popped, that flame ignited the vapor venting from the catch tank and that's actually what was burning so once the engine finally shut down it went right out. It was definitely spooky though because we thought it was the fuel tank at first.
lord all the shit talk is making me so damn home sick . being stuck in New York is killing me every body hides in the house talking shit but no ones comes out and talks shit damn I miss the south. I've only been stuck here 15 years but it's all I can do to stay were I am and not load up and go home
Dang I understand that. We have a blast with it, and when we finally get em to the track, there's no telling what you'll see lol. Kevin has a twin turbo LS truck, we're gonna run him in something soon!
I love all the trash talk from TK senior. Y'all are always fun to be around!
I bet those extinguishers are new now !👍
Nothing like a little excitement. At least they got the fire put out.
It was definitely an adrenaline rush haha. It all worked out okay in the end but was spooky there for a second
Great editing of your dad lol. It probably lean popped because the BV spool was still in the V slot when the load came.
These older, maybe, wrenching gentlemen are a hoot.

Hell of an engine builder......
man, so a lean backfire burst the panel then caught the catch can on fire? crazy!
Lmfao guys that's gotta be the best bench racing chit show I've seen in a while, my camp and yours would get along so good haha love what you're doing keep on keeping on godspeed.
This is the most back woods shit I’ve ever seen.
I watched this again ,& it’s funny how many people grabbed a fire extinguisher and didn’t use it ,yet the hero just turned the fuel off
HotDamm boys. I just love hearing your Pops tell them guys.

1:22 my man even got smoke for the water brake. Crazy though he was joshing him about the pump outlet and then there was a lean pop.
Really loving your videos keep'em coming
Thank you! We sure will!

Wow , now that was interesting . Great video , thanks so much.
Haha man, that's a crazy dyno day there.
Who's black dodge behind the shop though lol.
Keep it coming yall are the best all around on TH-cam!!!!
5:50 is it possible the water brake let go? The RPMs sure jumped up quick.
Benny hill music was funny AF
I lol'd when Jeff first showed me the edit. Can't go wrong with that tune.
Got to live these old guys sucking up those fumes lol😂
You guys had a blast…LOL. Bob in USA.
THAT WAS TENSE!! EXCITING VIDEO, KEEP THEM ROLLING!!!
It was definitely exciting haha. We sure will, thanks!
6:16, note to self, run a fuel pump cable into the control room.
I agree 1000% LS is the ugliest engine ever put between the fender wells. They dont belong in classic cars I do t care what you say.

Steve Morris SML. 3000 plus hp easy. LS design
The old guys can still move quick when they need to ! Hahahaa
Lol they sure can!
@@NitroUnion I'm glad his engine wasn't destroyed. One let go on me at the dyno before. Sent a rod through the oil pan and started a fire
Yah the Benny hill Theme song was perfect!!! Danger zone was good too!!!
Lol can't go wrong with either of those! Jeff did this edit, he always knows the best songs to put in.
Just found this channel so what actually happened on the dyno?Bunch of big good old boys trash talkin cracking me up kinda side tracked me. Subscribed.
That'll get that heart pumping!! At least it happened on the dino....not @ the track.
Absolutely, once that happened, he was able to find an issue with the fuel system that was causing it to go lean. If not for the dyno, it probably would have taken several trips to the track to trace down the issue.
A little less jibber jabber and more attention to details. Your dad's LS hate seems a little contrived. But I still love your channel.
that was embarrassing for you guys , benny hill music was perfect for you all . but nice engine . fun video .
Love the music I could of listen for 20 mins
Hey y'all!! Great video!!
Always cool videos thanks ........any Aces High news ????
Thank you! It will be getting some more love and updates soon! We have Miss Fitt in the shop now doing some quick upgrades for this season and Aces High is back in line behind it!
Them fire extinguisher are dummies. Beware of the blue truck. It's huntin Mustang. Never seen a more organized engine room, fire drill.
Yeah, the floor needed washing anyway.
Really cool day
It was a very fun day. Luckily the engine was repairable and they got it figured out.
I got all the way to the end of the video and didn't see a huge engine dyno explosion.
>>didn't see a huge engine dyno explosion.
watch the breather on the catch can about a second before the burst panel let go......fuel started pouring out of it!!!!!...no wonder it caught fire!!
That’s a “BIG” oops……….,🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸
😂 if it ain’t running it ain’t going to run. Fuck your “I ran it this morning. I want to see oil pressure built up with a cordless drill, before startup.
Fuel leaking, water leaking 🔥
Chevys doing Chevy things
That dude is in there without even ear plugs?
Old pluckers making mistakes means time to hang it up. They need to drive rockin chairs na.
Blew up the intake and lit up the fuel on the floor maybe ?
Just before the bang you can see what looks like fuel dripping under the tank.

The perfect example of more money than brains.
Oh, come on, daryll, You'll never know, who do you think invented Top Fuel Drag Racing, guys like these did!
hillbilly dyno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9:47 a little LS hate. Dont be salty.
Should have stopped that for the crank case blow by some thing not happy
That’s a “BIGGER” oops……….🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Don't mess with meth 😂sorry can't touch Miss FITT 👍👍 hope the mustang is coming along. enjoy your videos take care nitro union😂👍😂

I know right lol. It was crazy.

That is one ugly ass motor. I hate me some LS. They got no soul like Cleveland FE V 8 90 and Windsor. I love them Fords.
