Very entertaining for us gear heads,Just wondering what the boost psi was at with the different pulley sizes. The engine combination really preformed well, congrats to the Builders.
:Remember, boost is just a measurement of restriction. If the engine made 800hp on 5psi, then that's an indicator of less restriction in the cylinder heads. Low boost with big numbers =Killer heads.
Make an Aaron and Nick, this is totally exciting for me watching this program. It’s unbelievable thank you very much for letting us in on this amazing engine from San Diego California a fan..

I am amazed at how "domestic" that engine sounds at start up!!!!! But put the petal to it and wow! 699.9 Tq at 4300 rpm...with the 3.75" pulley... just wow! Love these videos, Nick thank you.
And on top of all that, it's a beautiful engine too. Lots of aluminum artistry in the design, I've never seen such a modernized Mopar B/RB. Top job in every respect.

I have been wanting someone to build this exact set up with a 440. We all know the hemi is the big daddy, but all the 440s out there. Build before fuel injection. And never really supercharged, until now. This is what I expected was possible all along. I would have given almost anything to have had one of these in my 68 road runner!!!! Congratulation!!! And thanks for showing the Dodge Boys what's possible!! Who knows, someone may beat these numbers, but ya'll did it first!!! Awesome engineering and fabricating skills!! Holy crap what a motor. Good stuff, made my day. I built a 340 that made 425 hp on the dyno. I thought that was good, but something you said about net horse power, had never thought about it. My motor was without the other hardware to run car. I stuffed that 340 in a big B body, with a 5 speed, loads of fun. Thanks again for video.
Great video Nick!!! so much fun to watch the quest to get the power & torque out of this old school block that has been enhanced with new technology by real car guy`s . R.I.P. Barry Paton who will be missed by so many.
What an episode Nick-!!!!! Highest praise to all concerned in designing and building this assassin of an engine, clearly a profession effort by everyone involved. 802/800 - WOW.
Check the bulkheads and bearings for walk, I hear it has billet caps and girdle but the factory block don't last long over 750 HP, nice work to all involved, keep em coming Nick
@@Motor-City-Mike A girdle doesn't help cap walk all that much. 4-Bolt mains do, like the engine in this video has. Being a drag racer that uses Oldsmobile power, I'm REAL familiar with, and have used girdles in the past, and they just basically help to contain the explosion when it still happens, UNLESS it's a very nice piece that goes over all 5 main caps, and then bolts to the entire pan rail also. Thise thin halo girdles that just bolt to the main caps really doesn't do a whole heck of alot.

@ around: 39:54 it Occurred to me, that these men ' may have been ' " Unaware " of Denso TT Iridium [ Spark ] Plugs or better ! Which Would have " Increased the " Horsepower & Torque " " Significantly " ! In some engines though These " High-End Plugs " have been known to have " Burnt Holes " in the ' Pistons, ' Usually Aluminum cast types. Which I Doubt were used here. In This kind of Engine " Stainless Steel Pistons " are " Usually Used " !
So interesting how you can see the rpm , for both torque and horsepower, remained essentially the same, but adding boost and a nudge on the timing just kept increasing power at the same engine speeds. That torque at so low an RPM is amazing fun for a street car and should actually increase the engine life by lowering the wear factor associated with having to go to extreme rpms to make the power you want. This video really is so enlightening and educational. I would bet that , if they haven't already, they will be beefing up the chassis of that Duster with torque boxes and other specific gussets to handle that power. One other bit of magic is to use a high speed low windage design in the oil pan, assuming they don't already have that as well. Just a beautiful job guys.

Congratulations on making it! Great engine. Idles smooth and quiet and produces all that torque and HP! WOW! Great show. R.I.P. Barry.
What a monster motor from my home town. Proud to see it. Great video Nick.
Appreciate it !
It is alway very cool to watch profesionals do thier work with such confidence and mutual respect that allows for each individual to show thier talents.
Old school and New school working together is a thing of beauty…
Congrats on joining the 800 club ❤❤
This build is a wet-dream of mine. Everything about merging the beast muscle with the modern engineered power adders, in one sexy package, kicks me in the guts! Amazing job building this you guys, and amazing job tuning it Mr. Nick!!!
That Duster is going to be scary! Awesome work guys!! Awesome of you Nick to have them run it on the dyno!! Thanks for another awesome video!
Nick, you are such a nice guy and you just have a super friendly attitude.
You're the best man.
Great show. Awesome guests. And LOTS of torque!
I appreciate that!
Congratulations to those guys. Those numbers had to be so gratifying after two years of development. Really interesting design. Great episode!
Wow! That was awesome. Mike and Aaron designed and built an amazing motor. It was enjoyable to see the interaction between Nick, Aaron and Mike.
Nick, Thanks 800 times..! You are the best for letting those guys in to use the dyno, and for sharing it with your public..! JUST SO GREAT !
What a tribute to a man you clearly respected very much, could see it tearing you up..... the world needs to have more of this, individuals can be very special and when they leave us we should never forget them. Nicks comment was spot on, look what he left you. May Barry rest in peace.
Sounds awesome! The start up was extremely clean…
It was! The guys did great.
Fuel injection...
Having Nick work on my 1970 Challenger would be a dream come true. Lost my dad last year and he was the original owner. Man do I have some good memories. Sure miss my dad.
We are very sorry for your loss. We hope you always have that car.
@@NicksGarage TY. Yeah never getting rid of it. To many memories. We painted it Yellow with a Black RT stipe on it. Steel need to do the dash. It just has a skin on it for now. Need to replace all the gauges. None of them work. The interior is done other than the dash. Work in progress. Takes time.
@@NicksGarage Thank you sir. I just want to make it right by him.
Very entertaining for us gear heads,Just wondering what the boost psi was at with the different pulley sizes. The engine combination really preformed well, congrats to the Builders.
I agree, would be interesting to know the pressure.
@@cuzz63 s
I heard 5PSI on the larger pulley. I would have expected a little more.
:Remember, boost is just a measurement of restriction. If the engine made 800hp on 5psi, then that's an indicator of less restriction in the cylinder heads. Low boost with big numbers =Killer heads.
@@woodey028 its really kind of circular...that much power at a low boost also means alot of power NA...which means they had great flowing heads...
Make an Aaron and Nick, this is totally exciting for me watching this program. It’s unbelievable thank you very much for letting us in on this amazing engine from San Diego California a fan..
WOW great Engine. Congratulations and R.I.P. Barry
Man I seriously can not get enough of Nick's Garage. Awesome video once again to the team at Nick's Garage. Awesome motor, 800/800 is going to make for one SERIOUS street car, no doubt about it. I hope these guys bring the car by the shop and we can get a follow up on it once it's putting some rubber down.
RIP Barry Paton.
I am amazed at how "domestic" that engine sounds at start up!!!!!
But put the petal to it and wow! 699.9 Tq at 4300 rpm...with the 3.75" pulley... just wow!
Love these videos, Nick thank you.
thats kind of the beauty of power adders...build a mild but stout motor and add boost to get power.
Thank you for sharing this 800HP, 800Ft-Lbs project!
And on top of all that, it's a beautiful engine too. Lots of aluminum artistry in the design, I've never seen such a modernized Mopar B/RB. Top job in every respect.
this is what it looks like when professionals come together this is a beast loved watching thanks to all
Awesome job guys! RIP to your friend, he would be proud. Prayers to you and your crew. Be safe out there.
My 71 340 duster worked well but a duster with that motor it must be one wild ride! Show us a pass at the track! Nick has the best job in Canada!
Thanks Red!
Great video Nic, I was amazed that these boys knew their stuff and watching you was interesting. You remained very calm and collected. Thank you.
And this monster is going into a Duster. Hope you guys have a good tire budget, cause this monster is going to shred them. WOW! RIP Barry Paton. As usual, great camerawork George. Thank you Nick for sharing this outrageous dyno session with us. That was AWESOME!. Stay safe all, God Bless.
A truly amazing shop head. Couldn't be kinder more tolerate with his guests. Special thanks to his cam assistant. Great show
Just awesome video nick!!! THANK you to all the guys who made it possible! CHEERS!!!!
Be very proud, you deserve it!!
Awesome video Nick. This was teamwork at its finest. Hope we can get to see the Duster run...
These numbers using a cast block….. borderline insanity! And at such a relatively low rpm’s? He’s a magic man!
You deserve a ton of credit Nick they come to you for a reason.
What a monster 800hp that would be fun to play around with . sorry to hear a friend passed on but I bet he was there watching awesome video keep them coming and see you Friday
Thanks Nick for another great episode! Mike and Aaron ... Please bring it back installed in the car ... and let Nick take it for a ride! Now that will be another episode worth watching!! Congratulations to all involved.
The suspense in this video actually made me nervous seriously 😳
Holy crap what a motor. Good stuff, made my day. I built a 340 that made 425 hp on the dyno. I thought that was good, but something you said about net horse power, had never thought about it. My motor was without the other hardware to run car. I stuffed that 340 in a big B body, with a 5 speed, loads of fun. Thanks again for video.
Good to see Nick out of his comfort zone & playin with modern technology, & what a AWESOME live show that was, ya get an A+ for that one, lmao
I love how he said "It is out of my league." Humility and confidence. I would bet that Nick could do it if he wanted to.
Awesome very entertaining watch - well done to everyone involved!
Great video Nick!!!
so much fun to watch the quest to get the power & torque out of this old school block that has been enhanced with new technology by real car guy`s . R.I.P. Barry Paton who will be missed by so many.
What a mind trip ,absolutely amazing guys
What an episode Nick-!!!!! Highest praise to all concerned in designing and building this assassin of an engine, clearly a profession effort by everyone involved. 802/800 - WOW.
Check the bulkheads and bearings for walk, I hear it has billet caps and girdle but the factory block don't last long over 750 HP, nice work to all involved, keep em coming Nick
@@bigboreracing356 Still can happen....
The girdle spreads the load over all the main-webs (*bulkheads) and the caps for specifically that reason.
Wow wow wow.. absolutely beautifull set up an very very impressive!! This was very well done 👍 thoroughly enjoyed this video very much.. big horsepower big torque an big smiles .. thanks to nick an those guys for havin it run on his dyno so we could all see this .. maybe those guys could send a video of it when its in the duster running An kickin it lol cheers to all 💯👍
Awesome beast and build guys! WOW that party pulley really could be heard and felt in my headphones sweetly! That funky song with the great groove beat and phased bass is spectacular! Stupendous job as always guys! Thanks again!👍
Just had my right leg amputated below the knee. Home recovering.....LOTS of work lies ahead to get back to even doing the simple stuff we all take for granted. I've been feeling pretty darn overwhelmed. I say that....not for sympathy, by any means.....but to tell Nick and the gang that this video was a JOY from beginning to end. It absolutely took my mind off of my problems entirely as I watched this. When you hit the 800/800....I ALMOST got up to jump for joy! Thank God I remembered not to! God Bless you all. jbeinarizona
Thank you for your very kind comment, Joel. We are touched that our videos can be comfort and distraction in difficult days. Everyone here at the shop wishes you a quick recovery from the surgery and easier times ahead.
I hope you get better🙏!!
Nick’s guys always teke me out of problems.
@@NicksGarage LOVED the video! My uncle had a similar thing happen to his leg recently...& this video Definitley helped take my mind off his problems (we're close)--My father (now deceased) once was an engineer for FORD & would have loved this video too!!--Keep up the good-work!
May 2023 be a better year for you and may God be with you.
God bless you as well! It’s nice to have content like this to take the mind off things. Take it one day at a time.
Thank you Barry Paton , RIP SIR , thank you from Tulsa Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸 🙏 🏁
Not sure if anyone reads these comments, but one thing for sure, Nick is a solid, honest guy, great video's. I say this because were in the same biz, I've dealt with many others, Can, and US. I have met him once in TO, very solid guy.. That said, who is this Aaron guy, look,s like he can tune without melting a slug..Nice work! To all!!
Unbelievable!! Awesome video, goes to show that our canadian neighbors can really do some super stuff! Great work guys!!
That was pretty emotional, Well done guys, awesome work.
What a beast. These engine builders really know there stuff the sound it made even when it just starts up is amazing. Very fun video
Those VMP superchargers make big power. I have seen Ford Coyotes make over 1000 hp easily with the VMP setup
This unit was adapted from a Ford application.
I didn’t realize how much work, and skill went into dump testing a motor until watching this video. Great stuff, Nick & Co.
Thanks 👍
Simply amazing! Y'all did a fantastic job with a huge amount of work! Congratulations! Must have been a long day.
800 and 800 that's awesome! I had the goosebumps! Good work guys! I am happy for you!
@ around: 39:54 it Occurred to me, that these men ' may have been ' " Unaware " of Denso TT Iridium [ Spark ] Plugs or better !
Which Would have " Increased the " Horsepower & Torque " " Significantly " !
In some engines though These " High-End Plugs " have been known to have " Burnt Holes " in the ' Pistons, ' Usually
Aluminum cast types.
Just a beautiful job guys.
what a fantastic post very well done , amassing output !!!
Thank you !
Hi, what a great episode. Seeing you guys working together and sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm and excitement. Gripping stuff right to the end. Thank you Nick for a great channel.
Well done guys, your buddy would be very proud. 800/800 WOW!
That HP is in the Hellcat range!! That's going to be one fun Duster to drive. Thanks Nick for sharing, love your videos!!
Very good video and episode Nick.
Great Team work.
Much respect.
Take care, Ed.
Thanks, you too!
The critters look like crickets, they like dak damp areas, and i bet that engine has had a crank kit put in
This was an awesome video Nick, thankyou I really enjoyed that one and also looking forward to seeing that red duster at Moparfest! Since it's in his backyard.
Love Nicks reaction "these are crazy numbers "
I really like to watch Nick's shows I think he is one of the most knowledgeable motor heads iv ever watched or listened to. I really like the way he understands and knows the old school way and is not afraid to admit he is not all up to date on the new school computer stuff , but he understands it . the man also has a dam good personality. All I can say I do like all his videos no matter what motor he is working on but I do lean more to the small block chevy . If he ever has the chance to do a new 6.6 / 400 small block drag and street motor build around 700hp 550 + torque I would love to see that .keep it up Nick !!!
I was impressed just how smooth the engine ran and how nice it looked. Now the trick is to build the car so it can handle that HP.
Half way through the video and I love it what a monster
Impressive engine build and tuning! Great stuff Nick!
Definately see that Nick was having fun on this one.
Wonder what it coulda got with 94 octane, 3 more degrees of timing, 2.75 pulley and 7000 rev limiter. lol
Great episode guys.
Wow!!! What a ride that will be!! My gosh it be crazy with a 6 speed stick. Lol
I really enjoyed this video when it first came out. It’s super cool to see it again. A Beautiful Build!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow that's some heavy duty power and torque. That's one mean looking blower. I'm surprised your not able to route the module direct to your computer.
