I have a z flip 5 and honestly I love it. The only issue I've had is the screen protector that comes preinstalled got an air bubble but once I took that off it works like a dream.
This was a good prototype for what we have today in the Razer 2024. The front display was quite innovative for its time. I believe their biggest challenge was in attempting to replicate the original Razer phone's design. The camera was fairly standard for that era. In my opinion, most phones these days have features that may be considered gimmicks, but they are only truly gimmicks if they are not used. Very experimental for its time
I just bought the Razr Plus 2024 and would be extremely interested in you comparing the newest version vs that version. I think it's come a long way since then.
I had no idea that you could buy one of these for so cheap now! For someone who wants to try out a folding phone, this is perfect! This guy keeps ragging on it, but fails to realize how new this was at the time. He also keeps saying "way back in 2019"... That's wasn't even 5 years ago! He's talking like it was 25.
That intro would be the story of how I got my 2019 razr off eBay about just under a month ago for 23 dollars and some change. Absolute flex and a half, pun intended!
Ive actually daily driven a Samsung Z Fold for the last 3 years, 2 years with a Fold 3 and the last year with a Fold 5 and I absolutely love it, the multitasking is immaculate, I walk my dog every night for a little over an hour and while soing so ill run TikTok and Pokemon Go side by side, its so satisfying.
In the current technological landscape, it is feasible to utilize a flagship smartphone for up to five years without experiencing significant performance issues.
U r not the targeted Person for it, i think. I used it for 3 years and still user a motorola razr 2022 now. For business a folding phone it's the Best u can use. All the Apps are working, only downsize is, that this model only had e-sim and no slot.
Old touch screens were resistive ones like legendary HTC Trinity, came with a pen, , worked on pressure applied while newest had capacitive ones, registrating touches on the screen
I got one for 27 bucks and tbh these are junk. While yes they look cool and all this one is the worst of them the Samsung ones are much better but for 30 bucks I couldn’t beat it
5:40 all right come on dude. Making me clog the comment section. Capacitive touch screens are what became ubiquitous as they use the electrical input from your fingertips. What you meant was resistive touchscreens, which use pressure. And resistive touch screens don't feel nearly as responsive and precise so it does indeed feel more like an old, less responsive capacitive touch screen, but still the current principle on the 2019 RAZR.
Yeah why don't you try to get some of the old stuff just to remember, Like HTC HD2 which was a Windows phone but we managed to make a, partition inside it's internal memory and flash Android on it, it was awesome cause it was a flagship phone back then
That's what you get for buying a cheap pos smartphone from wally world. Can you get your money back? I'd sure want to. For the price of that phone, a not too horrible bottle of whiskey can be had.
@@keithbrown7685both statements are incorrect not just OPs. Phone can technically handle TH-cam but TH-cam (and other platforms) blocks old software by purpose when they get too old. I believe the reasoning is security. Supporting software that is simply too old compromises security.
Samsung had pupup store in NYC just after tab 9 came out, I play around with thier flip phone, but weren't really impress with it. When fully opened it was almost the same size as my note 9. I see no real advantage over regular phone.
I was watching this exact listing, the shipping to Ireland was so expensive though and with it being eSim i decided against buying it as it probably wouldn't work or even an unlock code probably wouldn't work. I love the design of the 2019 Razr it got more stubby with the 2020 edition and now it looks nothing like a Razr. The original price for this was insane and it's crazy how much the price has dropped for this i'm guessing it has lost about 90% of it's original value and i think a lot of that is to do with it being eSim because the 5G 2020 edition is a lot more on eBay.
I don't know about the 2019 model but the 2023 plus model is perfect definitely better than the Samsung flip that was it's rival. Had the phone since release it works perfectly
Iv brought a few refurbished phones of Ebay, the 2 I currently have are an oppo n2 flip iv had for 6 months and was in perfect condition when it came and iv had no issues with, and a raza 40 like new I recommend getting refurbished just use your head and don't get ripped off
When you order from ebay said for example a phone would it be delivered directly to my door or would it be held at the post office for me to pickup , because I heard you need a signature when there delivering to your house
I have the 2023 Motorola Razr plus and it's held up really nice 3.6 inch front screen and 6.9 inch inner screen. You can pick one up for less than $500.00 even the new Razr 2024 plus and the regular Razr are really nice it's not my daily driver but it's part of my arsenal my daily driver is the Google pixel 9 Pro XL and my side piece is the Samsung s24 Plus am I Nothing Phone 2 and of course always got to keep an iPhone on Deck for family purposes. Have the iPhone 14 plus it's the only iphone I ever purchased or owned in my life I'm going to be trading it in here soon for the new iPhone 16 Pro.
4:30 I'm sorry, did you just say 2009? That phone revolutionized phone design in 2004. 2009 was the year of the Motorola Droid, HTC HD2 and iPhone 3GS, just before the iconic iPhone 4. You should take a deeper dive at the history of cell phones and smartphones dude.
@ericchocron "VS the old Motorola Razr we remember from like 2009 or something." No, completely missing the timeline. Marvel of engineering in 2004, got cheaper, got more popular, but the majority of owners moved on to higher stuff by 2009. Putting a relatively large touch screen on a do everything device was hot and exciting, although adoption reached critical mass 3 years later in 2012.

Exactly 😂 I'm an Android user myself and Android has just been better, iPhone probably was in the beginning years, but these two are iPhone users, if rumors are true about the iPhone 17, I'll definitely try that out.
Definitely a weird foldable lol I'm a Samsung Z flip 6 user who just switched from the Samsung Z flip 4. I do love how nice the outer display looks on the 2024 Motorola version of this. But software wise I prefer Samsung. You should check out the latest version of this Flip.
Anyone here use a folding phone as their daily? This was my first time using one - very weird experience lol
The galaxy z flip phones are awesome in quality, but eventually get display issues
I had a Z Flip 5 but didn't like it. Switched to an S23
I have a z flip 5 and honestly I love it. The only issue I've had is the screen protector that comes preinstalled got an air bubble but once I took that off it works like a dream.
I have had a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 since when it came out, it sure was strange to me in the beginning too but I'm used to it by now.
I'm considering upgrading to an S25 Ultra soon.

I love the look of this razr. I wish they would have stuck with this design.
It looks very cheap. I loved the diamond shape and the bezel tho
it looks really good rigth im loving it as well
6:08 close your eyes, increase the volume for a better experience
Imagine buying a 5 year old phone for $100 and trying to roast it.
Me having 6 years old phone for free.
Imagine posting TH-cam videos and barely pulling views after 2 years. Actually 12 years now I see why you stopped.😂
How did he go the whole video without using the Retro Razr feature?

I am still using my Z Fold 2. Now 4 years old. Doing fine.
It was just the beginning. The 2024 model is so nice. The front screen isn't hard to do functions on. It's improved significantly
Im 41 i know all about folding phones.. i grew up to the brick phones and even earlier models which was like a suitcase😂😂
You were rich weren't you?
I was able to do gestures with android 10 it's a setting in the app
2019 wasn’t that long ago. The phone is starting to show its age, but it still seems usable. It could be a good backup device for the price.
What the heck I didn’t know you had this channel as well 🤘🏽

Why so cheap? It's because big company always charge a big chunk of money for a cheap think, specially Apple.
Foldables are dramatically reduced in price on second hand market. And it's also old. I'm sure you could find iPhone 11 for a 100$
It is cheap because it is old it used to be 400 dollars when was released.
But definitely try buying some of the older Z Flips or Z Folds for your videos they are better quality than what that Moto Razr 👍

The second one has the best character design compared to the third one's rectangular and square design.
I'm currently watching on a z fold 5 and I love it. Never looking back
Maybe try the first galaxy fold?
Didn't think it was possible to get a folding smartphone for 100 dollars now (of course used)
Just subbed nice video
In the settings you can activate the original razor OS.
what microphone are u using

you have to enable swipe gesture in settings I believe

Its old what did you expect

Tell that to the people who bought the first Samsung Z Flip too.🎉
It's called the "chin".
how to update android 11 me stuck at android 10 please respon
It's perfect for the money.
My wife uses a Motorola Razr 2023, she likes it a lot.
Watching this on my razr+ 2023.
2019 foldable vs iPhone 😂😂😂😂😂 iPhone looks from same period of those old Razors 😂😂😂😂
If they could reproduce the Samsung E330 as a touch screen I’d buy it tomorrow
Test it with Android 9, maybe 10. I'm betting that: responsiveness and camera quality will be way better
Try the Samsung galaxy z fold 6 or the galaxy fold
Your videos are good keep it up
I've been using Samsung fold for years, and I love it! 🤷♂️
I still wonder if foldable phones are just a gimmick?
No

That's not a folding phone that's a flip phone lmao no need for click bait

that is the coolest phone !
