@@ghostexits I don't think Grusch cares one way or another whether you believe him or whether you don't. I know and have spoken with friends in the military and have a close relative who directs publicity for NASA. Not only is Area 51 an open secret but military attitudes toward it are blase and pretty relaxed. My biggest concern is the way American military in particular finds ways to sidestep the Geneva Convention and treat Visitors with suspicion and violence. The paranoia of the human species (specifically male) will ultimately be its catalyst for extinction. Our military continues to see itself as somehow at the very apex of the food chain and awards itself far greater powers than any civilian branch of government. Including the power to create--and to keep--innumerable secrets.

Lets also not forget that, as a matter of fact - there are craft operating in our airspace that the government has admitted they can neither identify, nor interdict. @Roger McMillan the difference and what many here seem to conveniently ignore about him is that he filed a FORMAL complaint to the Inspector's Office of the Intelligence Community, and they accepted the complaint as being "urgent and credible". This is now a legal investigation, and he is accountable for anything he has filed in his complaint. That means that if he is purposely lying, he can and most definitely will be punished by the law, with jail or other severe penalties. This is not a "typical" case of UFO claims because there is great accountability at play. It would be intellectually dishonest to assume that someone would put their livelyhood at risk just for a quick minute of fame. Does that mean there are aliens? No. That just means he is the first person with high clearance willing to risk their livelyhood with these claims. That is interesting, and should be taken seriously.

@@davidwilliams7552 Just as one example outside the context of the current revelations. Take Roswell. There is an FBI memo literally saying the Air Force told them that their radar interfered with the control systems of two disks in New Mexico, which crashed, and they also recovered six bodies. The FBI said well that memo was after the fact by a few years and might have just been reporting a “story” people were circulating. ( This is in the 1950s BEFORE the skeptical narrative that this exact story was all invented post hoc in 1978 by Stanton Friedman and Jesse Marcel.) The military press officer who initially put the story out that it was a flying disk and then changed it to a weather balloon left a signed affidavit in 2002 after his death that it was crashed disks and he person soy saw alien bodies - but the skeptics claim that he was old and his memory was bad and he was under the influence of UFO conspiracy published who wrote the affidavit for him and just had him sign it. All of these is fair enough, maybe, but if it turns out in this one instance there really was a crash .. you would say it was pretty much in plain sight almost the whole time no?
For the current claims, if I’m a betting person something like “the Vatican helped the U.S. recover a ufo” is probably some kind of disinformation. However, “extraordinary claims” here is doing pretty heavy lifting, so heavy that no one seems to have even bothered to ask them if it is true - even though a well placed and credible U.S. intelligence officer seems to want to tell us that it is. Again, no one is saying to believe it, for one thing it could all be disinformation, but actually try to get to the bottom of it, yes.

I agree with you. I generally like Dr. Grande, but in this case I think he's being a bit of a dick.
Grusch is whistleblowing because he was trying to investigate something while at the AARO, which was authorized by Congress to do UAP investigations, and he claims that he was blocked from doing so. What was he investigating? People were telling him things about about alien spacecraft, crashed pilots and all that. Does he have direct proof of this? No. Why? BECAUSE HE WAS BEING BLOCKED FROM TRYING TO UNCOVER IT. That's the whole point. Why is he going public? Because maybe outside pressure will allow him and others to at least try to prove or disprove whether or not some or all of the stories are legit. I mean, heresay evidence IS evidence, but it needs to be supported by other physical evidence. Let him at least be allowed to TRY to find the physical evidence before you dismiss him as being a goof.

Also the lawyer representing Mr Grusch just happens to be the very first appointed Inspector General in US history! As to the evidence we ALL want to see: clearly that evidence will be classified! However, what Grusch is asking, after his marathon 11 hours of testament in front of congress, which by the way, was also under oath ( you forgot that part as well) is that congress should investigate. Grusch is using whistleblower cover recently provided by that Senate. Bearing in mind the committee is privy to much information so far kept from us, it's not unreasonable to wonder if we are being gently introduced to a topic many will find hard to believe, even strongly resist.

I was like Dr. grande. I never in a million years believed in UFO's and aliens. I just thought it was made up stories to get attention or money. Then, I retired (1 year ago) and finally had time on my hands. I have seen many documentaries on UFO's and aliens, and am starting to believe maybe they do exist. March 1, 2023 confirmed it all. I can finally admit I saw a UFO out over the ocean, and I just wish I took a picture of it. Of course, nobody would believe me unless I had a picture, but those who know me (surely nobody on TH-cam).

The only propaganda I've ever seen was alien conspiracy stuff that was proven false, people proven to be liars etc.
The idea that ships are crashing here or flying around in our atmosphere lit up like a Christmas tree is literally 1950s sci Fi nonsense mixed with the limitations of that era's technology. Things that no longer even makes sense considering the technology we have today, alien ships wouldn't need to be in our atmosphere to observe or study us, but that was all made up before high powered telescopes like Hubble existed or we understood DNA.
I've never once understood why they would be lit up at all, if a plane turns it's lights off lf it's practically invisible if it's high enough or it's night time.
There are intelligent people who believe all kinds of things that are not true.
There's no evidence of any of this and all things point to literally every famous UFO person being a grifter.

They can find us on an interstellar map somehow, cross vast distances, and a whole host of other things... but don't have an autopilot to stay airborne. They make no effort to recover their dead or their stuff, but apparently are operating covertly enough that they don't *want* to be seen. But they don't mind being autopsied and inventoried.

Dr. Grande, here's what I got from David Grusch...he was working in AARO, but was not given the clearance to access this other program's work, e.g. recovered wreckage from "non-human" origin ships. That's it. That's what he presented to the Inspector General - inability to get access to the program to pursue his work further. His whistleblower claim was that this unavailable access was hampering his investigations but also just as his program AARO was made transparent to congress and the public, this other agency or agencies, should also be made transparent to congress and the public.
95% of all the media questions directed toward him were not on substantiating this simple fact. Instead, probably due to some personality or character trait which you could probably enlighten us with, he grandstands in a matter of fact way, somewhat bemusedly because none of the media questions really touch on the reason he is a whistleblower. Sure, he could stay silent or keep repeating - all I can tell you is what I told the Inspector General, but given the chance to be in the spotlight, good or bad, he was just throwing things out there that may well be his overblown imagination or paranoia. BUT, that is a secondary issue with him which has nothing to do with the fact of his whistleblowing. If he was working at Amazon and he found out that management was actively keeping workers at lower positions in the company, he might well "whistleblow" that with some facts that in this case would be unclassified, unlike with the Inspector General. BUT, he could still go on the news or social media and answer questions about what he "thinks" were the motivations, etc. etc. even mentioning anecdotal evidence from employees, but he is "in the spotlight".
Why am I writing about this? Because having been in the military myself, I understand how things work when you are trying to ferret out something important that no one else thinks is important for whatever reason. There is absolutely no inertia, so I can sense some of his frustration, however I do believe his actions were not the actions of a delusional fantasy. He's getting ripped apart by the media and he doesn't even know it. I would respectfully suggest another video focusing on this perspective, the media perspective and how someone like Grusch can be led around as if he had a nose ring AND not even realize what's happening.
    Thanks for hearing me out.

Dr. Grande "doesn't appear to possess critical thinking skills" when fallaciously applying a sweeping generalization to Grusch's critical thinking skills without adding the qualifier "in this particular case". But regular listeners of Dr. Grande know he posseses strong critical thinking skills. We all make mistakes and leave out important clarifications in our statements. It doesn't mean Dr. Grande lacks critical thinking skills.
Grusch may have drawn conclusions without ample evidence, as Dr. Grande reasonably concluded based on what is publicly known. It's also possible that Grusch possesses compelling evidence that he can't legally reveal publicly. Hopefully congress will surprise us by making good use of their time and focusing on evidence.

The problem is that 99% of people (including BOTH believers AND "skeptics") can't distinguish the idea of "UFOs" (even assuming they turn out to be something unexplainable by present-day science) vs the idea of "alien spacecraft", even though there's literally ZERO evidence linking the two topics, besides 70+ years of movies, tv, comics, video games, toys, and cereal box art, plus a bunch of unsupported anecdotes.
I've been interested in UFOs since I was a kid, but it frustrates the hell out of me, the bizarre logic of most of the UFO scene, that "being open-minded" = "assuming that THE ONLY possible explanation for identifiable lights in the sky, is the exact 'alien spacecraft' narrative, that the entertainment industry has been pushing for half a century".
There's a quote (from Jaques Vallee, maybe? Idk) talking about that obsession with the Extra-terrestrial hypothesis I really like, which says (paraphrasing) "I expect the ultimate answer to the question of UFO's, to be something that simultaneously far more mundane, AND far more bizarre and unexpected, than human-shaped aliens in nuts-and-bolts space-ships"

He said in front of the cameras many times he would divulge more specifically in private the information they needed. He would not have been accredited or allowed to this level of Government inquiry without being vetted. This is a US Senate Sub Committee, they don't allow any Tom Dick or Harry in of the street saying they saw aliens. It would appear that they approved the request maybe based off his integral reputation or perhaps the change of acts that protect whistle blowers. And, if his highers really did “confide” sensitive info to him, then this would probably support his reputation of being trust worthy. Regarding the idea that the aliens keep crashing and how this is at odds with their apparent technological sophistication or at odds with more aliens wanting to keep visiting...we would only be able to know for sure about those which had crashed, but not necessarily how many more had "successful" missions, which may have even gone undetected, and therefore we don't know what proportion the crashed spacecraft would be of the total number of alien visits. Perhaps it is actually very low and there have been thousands of undetected visits to our planet.

    • @ashleymaria8421
      @ashleymaria8421 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Exactly. If an aircraft doesn’t crash, there most likely won’t be evidence of a safe landing or them visiting, therefore, we don’t know about it, but it doesn’t mean they weren’t here or it didn’t happen.
It’s as simple as if the tree fell but nobody heard it did it still make a sound? Of course.

Good technical point, but even it were a small fraction it still seems like a high failure rate especially for manned craft. Consider mankind's relative success with Apollo to cite a small example. And that also represents a red flag contradiction --- logically a high number of exploratory visits should be by unmanned probes. There should be no "bodies".

Your reason for skepticism based on "why would aliens visit if there is a chance of crashing" and "how could they crash if they are advanced enough to get here" (I know I am paraphrasing) are pretty weak. Without knowing any of the motives for such excursions, or the conditions based on the supposed crashes, you can't really speculate.
But even if it were simply for the sake of exploration, your reasoning is akin to asserting that NASA wouldn't risk shuttle missions because of Challenger.

If we ever actually got visited by, what would presumably be, a species much more advanced than us, what makes anyone think that any Earthly government could cover them up? If we ever get visited, they will call all the shots, not humans. And they're likely not crashing. This guy Grusch really hasn't brought forth anything at all in terms of "game changing" evidence. Just, he said she said. Also, if there was ever a day that comes where Earth gets visited, the world would drastically change forever. There would be such mass panic and chaos etc. I don't think people really think of that very plausible scenario if a visitation event actually happened. This ain't Hollywood folks.

So when pilots say they saw something out of this world it doesn’t mean Aliens and if they do imply Aliens they don’t have evidence of that. And even the most seasoned pilots have very little knowledge of secret technologies.

There are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of this whistle-blower, but there are also plenty of reasons to be skeptical of DOD and plenty of reasons to be skeptical of nuclear fusion and quantum computing and string theory and the idea of Dyson Spheres, and on and on. As for crashed alien craft and dead alien pilots, I would imagine that even very highly advanced equipment would still have problems from time to time, and even highly advanced beings would still be far from perfect. There just aren't enough redundancies to account for every possible issue, especially the more complicated a system gets.
