Mazda 6 Auto Tensioner Replacement

  • Hello guys, this is a raw video (unedited) of the replacement of auto tensioner on Mazda 6. First, you take the belt out by releasing the tensioner ( 17 mm). Then, remove tensioner bolt (1 only, access from beneath vehicle)and 1 nut ( you access from above), and then you can easily remove the auto tensioner from above.

    I notice you bleed the tensioner before installing the belt. How many time are needed to bleed the tensioner?

      It doesnt require bleeding. The tensioner in itself contain hydraulic fluid.

    Can someone tell me what that green belt is behind the serpantine belt he removed???
    I recently replaced my serp belt and noticed I have both of those pulleys but no belt on that second pulley

      It's the water pump belt.
