I heard him mention he used to be a perfectionist and just cross out an entire day just because one thing eent wrong. I reccomend you look for the flow research collective on social media and listen to the latest discussions the team has had about “peak performance during a pandemic”. On one that is called something like “back to our roots” he discusses perfectionism with the other coaches. All the series is most enlightening (or at least ot has been for me). Hope you find this useful! Ps. Google and follow Steven Kotler as well, he’s unbelievably clear when talking about neuroscience and flow
Really did enjoy it, thank you. It's a great reminder even coming from the construction/residential builder perspective. The time constraint forces creativity. Thanks for sharing!
Loved it Rian and great storytelling! This is a lesson I have taken to heart in the last several months with my business being put on hold due to the pandemic.
Great talk Rian! You are so right about the fact that hustle doesn't lead to success! Flow is the key to working more focused, being more creative and getting more out of work and life.
Good thing youtube comments aren't or you wouldn't be here. But get your ears checked if you managed to listen to him and hear, actually, nothing said.
It's funny that you're giving this lecture and you have an English British accent.... ..screw the queen. ... I'm glad to see many Europeans stepping out of a subservient mentality and investing in themselves. As I live in America it was always disturbing to me how much they follow Authority from over there and look at all the stress and negative sides of hustling as a reason not to. Thanks for sharing and best to you🌿

Super fun to speak folks! Hope you enjoyed it. - Rian

Just fantastic man!
You're saving lives Sir, God bless you abundantly ❤
Brother, a 7 minute talk? That just screams efficiency.
All wonderful qualities of a great leader! Show your teams how to do it right and still live life.
I'm studying with him at the moment, the results are amazing.
Are you still getting great results? I am seriously considering working with the Flow Research Collective
Any updates on your journey guys? I would like to join his program but I need feedback thanks

Recently retired. Took retiring form my job to realize the relevance of what you have said.
Great speech and tips to condense our working time to actually get more important things done, needed to hear this - thank you Rian!
Fantastic talk Rian. Great pacing, stories, humor (the 3:30 am joke), humility, and presence. Well done.
Really love this :) so important to not equate productivity with hours worked
Slick talk Rian! Intrigued about that BCG HBR study.
Forced constraints ftw!
Great talk! Super clear and relevant. Thanks Rian!
There was a time TED was reserved to those who had, actually, something to say.

Another interesting talk, thanks for sharing.
What do people behind a computer all actually do? Force your self to work less hours?

If I’m not mistaken, he’s from Ireland (or at least sounds Irish) and they are an independent country and have been for almost 100 years.

using Elon musk as an example is kind of a bad take now
