You and I will both face uncomfortable moments. It is inevitable. How we respond to these uncomfortable moments is crucial to how we live our lives. Uncomfortable moments are genuinely hard, painful, and even devastating at times. Within this discomfort lies an opportunity. An opportunity for joy to be produced. By understanding the production of joy we can live a life full of it. Our society has failed to teach us the power of uncomfortable moments in our lives and their ability to produce a joyful life, which is why I want to take you back to square one of Joy and comfort. Maia Mae Huff studied Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at Florida State University. While there, Maia was inspired by the struggles and pains of everyday life and accidentally founded MM Designs, a lifestyle brand focused on spreading Love, Truth, and Light. This has led her to many opportunities, including giving a TEDx talk! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
