I worked at a company that had a ground level koi pond in the reception, and a client actually fell in, which makes this clip so much more enjoyable for me.

Typical Jim. Rather than step in to intervene as things go south, he prefers to stand by and watch, often while smirking at the camera. Jim is one of the most relatable characters on The Office, but he can be kind of a jerk.
at least they gave him some flaws. although menial in relation to the other characters
+The Gogoy He's also a slacker (at least in the first few seasons) and a bully. But I guess everyone finds that endearing since he's hot and charismatic

I don't know, I think Dwight was just very competitive around Jim, but he rarely actively tried to harm him. Damn, he even protects him at times, like when Roy tries to hit Jim :)
I just realize that Jim is not great as a manager or even a co-manager. He is great at being everyone's buddy but when it comes down to actually leading and enforcing his management skills; he just falls short.
..that was the point of making him manager.. to demonstrate that...

Judas is one of Jesus's companions..Christians claim that he's the traitor of Jesus..and Muslims believe that he's probably the traitor and the one who has been crucified instead of Jesus.
I'm not religious but the fact that people don't know who Judas is disappoints me immeasurably.

In jim's defense, i think most of our first reactions would be to step away so we also don't fall in, because michael has momentum into the pond, trying to save him would almost surely also mean you would fall in

To be fair, Jim could have been a manager in another branch if it weren’t for Michael. Michael screwed him over. But then tried to make it up to him by making him a co-manager with him. Jim wasn’t happy. Can’t blame him for letting Michael fall in the Koi Pond

To be Fair Michael is the kind of Guy who once knocked down A warehouse workers ladder while he was on it causing him to break his leg, while laughing saying “Hey Daryl how’s it hanging.”
Honestly I never thought Jim was being unreasonable letting Michael fall in. In his situation I'd have done the same thing just because reflexes force you to so you won't fall too.
the issue was he lied to cover himself..and he let him fall in as he admits to mike cause he was kinda mad that mike did not let him try to test his wings and go to this meeting alone despite feeling prepared for it so he can maybe one day on his own go up in rank which mike denied cause he felt jim was not ready so jim sorta lets him fall ....its plot my friend context...its not just that he let him fall ..its why he did....and why he lied about it...they both have a point

Never understood why they got mad at Jim. That's actually a pretty natural reaction if you think about it. If someone is falling in a certain direction, your body's automatic response is to counteract that however it can.

Had the potential to be really cringe-worthy but instead was a riot more often than not. Lots of great lines (Andy’s knowledge of Miss Janet etc.) and the surprise ending as to Jim’s non-involvement made Koi Pond a winning episode 👍

The thing is is that nobody would back away from somebody falling, they would either freeze or grab on

Honestly, Jim's reaction was very natural.
People who fall have a tendency to grab onto anything nearby, even people. He didn't want to get dragged in. It is a natural response.
