It seems that your monitor has a slight bulge on the bottom bezel as well. I though mine was defective. The bezel seems to flex a bit it I tilt the monitor. Anyway, that part feels cheap.
You can get more than 75hz FPS and it will result in faster reactions, but the computer only refreshes 75 times a second so anything more than 75 fps and you will not see a difference.

About freesync, its actually usable with nvidia cards also if you enable adaptive sync in nvidia control panel
But for that you must use a Displayport 1.2 or higher, and this monitor has only HDMI ports

both of the monitors are good enough. HP 22f looks better and thin but it produce a warm tone color. In lg 22mk600 produce better color overall.

fps is frames per each second and hz is the refresh rate, and they don't correlate to each other. Long story short, you'll still get high fps
