      This is literally why I ended up getting the 2wd instead of 4wd. In hobby shops and stuff everyone was telling me go 4. But the comment sections always are saying 2wd is the way to go if you know how to drive. I’m already in the RC hobby with FPV so lipos are not a problem for me to handle.

    Turnbuckles and camber links are the same thing you get the aluminum ones stock usually on brushless VXL Velenion motor setup...

    no way! i agree with the spur, but im not sure how your brother keeps snapping rear hub carriers, i beat mine to all hell and it just keeps on truckin. Ive smashed my rear wheels into tons of shit and they hold up just fine. when i say i beat the balls off this truck i mean i really beat the balls off it. Super tough, only weak spot i can find is driveshafts. My setup is a raptor f150 svt model, its got a brushless system from a redcat blackout sc pro, and it has a hot racing rear diff spool locker. Other than that its bone stock and tough as balls

    I had bald ass tires on the back and it drove fine it just did burnouts a lot. I swapped them to the front and vice versa and now I can’t steer lmao. I’d keep bald tires on the back.

    Started using my slash again. It was unused for I like 4yrs. Still running. Haven’t done any maintenance though.. any suggestions? Maybe some grease or oil?

    • @TheRCGenius
      @TheRCGenius  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s working well, I wouldn’t stress too much about it. It never hurts to put some lubrication in the transmission. You can also put some WD-40 in the motor if it’s not running very smooth. That can help loosen it up. Traxxas actually recommends the use of WD-40 to prevent rust and keep water out. Have fun!

    • @Cons2911
      @Cons2911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheRCGenius I think we have some wd40. Will need to get something for the gears.
      What I notice is that if I go up the speed and then let go, it stops pretty quickly, not sure if it's bec of the motor that I bought as an upgrade before, or if the gears are not moving smoothly anymo.
      It is still fast though. I'll spray some wd40

    • @TheRCGenius
      @TheRCGenius  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a combination of both. Don’t spray a lot of WD-40, just a little. Hope it works!

    You can run the front wheels on the back but you can’t run the rear wheels on the front because the offset is different

    Getting a 2 wheel drive slash very soon, any advice you can give to a newbie

    • @TheRCGenius
      @TheRCGenius  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      John wick well my biggest advice is to keep it clean. Given how low the slash is, it collects tons of dirt and leaves etc. in the chassis. Another thing is to be careful jumping it without having a downside ramp at the end of the jump. Since the truck is low, unlike a monster truck, it doesn’t have as much suspension travel. This means it could break if it lands flat on hard surfaces. I hope you enjoy your slash and this advice helps. If you have any other questions let me know ;)

    If he brakes stub carriers in the rear that much than his tires are to tight I would now because I race a traxxas slash 2wd so I would stop tightinging the tires that much
