Easiest way to rotate your axle is to get a very large pipe wrench to put around the axle tube, and put a jack under the handle of it. Makes easy work of it. Jack up the handle, and it will rotate the entire axle
I used tie downs on the front, locked the tie down before removing the bolts. Remove one side at a time, mark your front adjusters , install everything without any problems.
When i did my buddies i used a rachet strap to get back to were we need it to line up. The next time we did another jeep we used rachet straps on both ends to keep it from moving forward or backwards

2" Old Man Emu Springs and shocks. 2" spacer up front. Homemade spring bucket in the back. About 4" lift overall. Plus 1" body lift. Not sure if you are asking me or telling me something about the brackets.

Exactly what I did LOL//
I use a " come a long" to move axles. The "come a long" really comes in handy when I install my transmission by my self, it makes it a breeze !
Looks like a lot of work. Thanks for posting
I need to adjust my control arms and check the joints after a couple years
ratchet straps to move the axle works great
Just did mine. I used ratchet straps and it worked awesome
Use double adjustable control arms.... no come alongs, no contraptions needed. Metal Cloak makes a nice set, same price as the ones you bought.

James Harvey yep, ratchet straps r great for this
You are correct! That is what I meant!
I used a 36 Inch pipe wrench after installing top. then used a jack to push up / raise handle of pipe wrench to rotate it.

Well it's 2020 now did you have to readjust your pinion angle after all this was done and how are those bushings holding up

Have the Metalcloak control arms and bushings held up?
Yes but this isn't his daily driver so there aren't as miles as you might expect for 8 years.
Rotate your front tires back-and-forth. Holy smokes.
the bracket are the same on both sides
and what size lift do you have i didn't catch that ?

So what size lift do you have and what made you decide to set the arms at 16.5"?
This video talks about the mods we have done to this jeep, lift sizes etc. th-cam.com/video/0csI0w4aV_Q/w-d-xo.html
I believe we ended up at 16.5" based on what position he wanted the wheel to sit. I can't remember exactly why we made it that length.
I used my winch and wrapped it around the axle
johnmastronardi that's what I did for my jk
I used my winch cable attached to the front axle, and pulled…
Ratchet straps ..a come along. Winch..pry bar one side at a time
No zirks? Is that important?
Comparing or ratchet strap
what a way to get complicated
Ratchet strap
All the warped video makes me feel drunk and cannot watch this
