Man, one of the best alt history of greece ive ever seen. And really detailed too. There must have been a lot of studying for this video to be made.

No, Greece should have gotten Constantinople back, that is a huge problem with this one. Greece would have also taken Abydos and Troy back on the western coast of Turkey.

I liked this scenario up to the point where the Greeks, or Hellenes, didn't even seize the European side of Constantinople (that was the main goal of the Megali Idea), while also keeping the Bavarian monarchy as the legitimate head of state. Sooner or later, Hellas would most likely drive tensions between royalists and republicans or democrats, in the sense that they wanted to rule as a homogenous ethnic entity, and not be controlled by a family of foreign influence (German/Bavarian. They would probably set a referendrum, just like they did in the Greek junta and third republican regimes, where the Kingdom would have been abolished.

Welp firstly about Constantinople the allies wouldn't allow Greece to keep it and secondly if a referendum happened the monarchy would prob continue on accounts of their success and lemme remind you othon did his best to portray himself as a Greek so his successors would also do that in the end the German comparisons would be miniscule at best all that would remain was the history of the young king othon and the great diplomatic ties with Germany
The Northern borders should not be that high as there wasn't a greek majority there

18:02 the little peninsula on the other side of Chios, the Erythraea peninsula or peninsula of Cysos, was all majority Greek, and in fact more than 90% Greek before 1923. So how are there Turkish majority areas on it? And the same applies for the Island of Imbros, which was 100% until 1928. Honestly curious

I highly doubt that the Greeks will let go of Constantinople after this alternate World War II especially if they got partitioned by Italy and Turkey. But the Greeks in the comments themselves say that this is accurate and doable, so I don't really know.......
Edit: But at least Greece kept Ionia and got Cyprus
I'm also surprised that the Soviets weren't involved in the push against Turkey either, seeing how they control Georgia and all, which borders Turkey. An Axis Turkey would very likely be roped into invading Russia through Georgia by the mustache man, and there would probably be a brutal pushback from the Russians sooner or later - maybe even a rush by America & Britain to occupy as much as Turkey as possible before the Soviets create a communist state in the Med.
Hell honestly that would justify and make realistic Greece getting Constantinople back. It's not ASB or unrealistic to say Britain and America Post-WW2 would rather their entire nations collapse before they would consider giving a communist satellite of the USSR control over the Bosphorus & Marmara.

The storyline is amazing, but as a greek, the chancellor list is just out of order
The crazy thing about this timeline is:
Had Henry the Lion (Duke of Bavaria from 1156 to 1180) not been deposed by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, the Wittelsbach Dynasty would have never risen to power in Bavaria nor become kings neither in Bavaria nor Greece. Therefore, the kings in this timeline can be grateful for that :D

Very nice but as a person who lives in the island of Samos I must say Samos even though being so close to Turkey is purely Greek so the ethinicity in Samos is Greek not Turkish

I like your alt history of greece The first king was an absolute Chad! I do have some arguments to make for the territory I personally feel Greece would want. Nonetheless this is your own version and I like how well thought out it is, I would have liked if it was a bit slower and you added a bit more events, buts that's just me being demanding 😂.

also smth to add on, there would likely be a bit more greek majority ethnics in 18:04 since they've ruled over that land for decades since 1945, and also there was no population exchange. amazing video with amazing detail, 10/10!

*Alternate 2042: Greece willingly annexed Constantinople and the rest of Turkish Thrace back after turkey secedes them because of the overwhelming population of Orthodox Greek in the area*
its important to note that the allies after ww2 wanted to construct borders such that the powers involved could not expand or have any claims to expand, in such that id imagine that in a similar suit to germany whod call their citizens westward turkey would call their citizens eastward away from the greeks and the allies would construct an easily defendable border while pushing turkey out of europe therefore eastern thrace would proabably be greek and be sought after for its historical significance and economical value by greece. In our time the germans were expelled out of eastern europe entirely so a similar thing could happen to turkey, id also imagine to its east it be split up with kurdistan, arabian, armenian territories are returned especially if the ppopulation exchanges didnt happen which fueld turkey into a turkish nationalistic idea but also woudlve had greece probably seek pontus when it got ionia and have armenia/soviets ally it for the eastern lands which either way probably wouldve been split because of the cold war. But none the less amazing video

I do want to mention and this is my opinion on this alternate history that Greece wouldn’t have any lands in Anatolia but would have Thrace and Constantinople.Crete Cyprus and southern Bulgaria under its control just my opinion in this alternate history. Keep up the amazing awesome work I will comment some alternate history ideas in another comment.

Here are some alternate history ideas, what if imperial Germany won WWI and what if Germany won WWII (separate videos) .
what if France won the Spanish wars of succession or the Napoleonic Wars .
What if Alexander the Great lived long. Enough to raise heirs and conquer Central Asia, North India Bangladesh, and Tibet and more lands in the balkans and caucuses.
What if Imperial Italy aka Italy during the 1800s and 1900s United in the 1820s or 1840s and became a great European power and managed to colonize Ethiopia Albania and some parts of east Asia.
What if the Rome conquered the Germanic tribes and the Slavic tribes and what if Justinian United all the old provinces of Rome.
What if the Mongols conquered Europe, India and Japan with the exception being Egypt and Vietnam.
What if Tamerlane lived long enough to conquer China.
And last one what if all the lands in the world were fertile, examples Siberia , Antarctica, the, Greenland western United States Australia and the Arabian peninsula and the Sahara deserts.
These ideas are just for fun and not meant to be political and also take your time making your videos cartographic tales have an amazing awesome day peace.

You deliberatly forget to mention the treaty of San Stefano in 1878 !! In the name of what did Greece seize Macedonia !! Because of the so-called Greekness of Macedonians, of Alexander the Great !! ( actually a german "theory" led by Johann Droysen, a German... in 1840 !!!) But at the time of Alexander, Macedonia was not a Greek-city state, nor a greek colony. It was a totally independant kingdom from Greece. Greece was created for a geo-political purpose led by U.K, for the control of East meditteranean and road to India.
The Russo-Turkish War happens in the video and there's a treaty thereafter. Just didn't call it by any name. No deliberate forgetting.

Wow that was hilarious. Straight out of a right wing monarchist's dream that misses details like the age of the would up chancellors and more important stuff like the different geographical departments of Greece, the nationalist desires of the neighboring countries and Greek politics and society.
It's nice that you tried and I wish you success in the future, but this really is not a possible alternate timeline for Greece. At least if you're going for a realistic alternate timeline.
