The modern day “students” in Afghanistan actually still have quite the positive opinion of the man with a mustache. Having a bunch of puppets is great because they have their own focus trees and you get more factories through them, but it really does kill the game performance

This was REALLY weird. CCCP would have no reason to invade Finland unless Germany first took half of Poland. Also CCCP collapsed all to easy compared to Operation Barbarossa. The beginning of Operation Barbarossa was that H1tl3r convinced St4l1n to kill all his best officers. That never happened in your scenario.
Stalin was a greedy bastard with imperialist ambition, so it's honestly not that weird for him to invade even if Hitler didn't.

@@sunzi42 Plenty of things could hamper an invasion, like oh I dunno the inability to feed the army. The Soviet famine of 1930-1933 ring any bells? In general invasions are things that require preparation and 5 years earlier the groundwork hadn't been done yet.

In fact Soviets would never attack Finland if not being paranoid of Finland immediately joining Germany in its war with Soviet Union. Devs should consider Soviet AI to be calmed down and restrained against Finland in case Germany is peaceful.

So what happens after this:
Japan probably goes for Sahkalin, China, and tries a Pro-Gamer Move against the United States
The Entente, who have been gearing up for a war this entire time, tell Japan "No."
Germany realises that some of the pacific islands lost in the first great war are rightful German clay, and seek to preserve world peace by limiting Japan's expansion. Via a declaration of war.
Home islands get landed on by basically the entire world at this point, Japan gets balkanised, parts of China get turned into a German puppet to prevent the spread of communism.
No further large wars are declared. France proceeds to spend the next 30 years malding at Germany for just standing there peacefully. The end.
It reflects reality, UK and US declared war on Germany and Italy for geopolitical reasons, not morale reasons.
