Theo I really hope you stay connected with tony. He seems like a good guy that you relate too and someone that would remind you about sobriety with all honesty. It was nice to watch you really relate to someone and not be doing a bit for laughs or to make the guest feel comfortable.

Same with me, been numbing myself with painkillers, benzos, gabapentinoids etc for years because I can't fucking stand myself or my emotions.

When I'm broke I'll take whatever benzo or downer I can find. When I get money I buy liquor. I know this will be a life long struggle bc I don't trust myself. I feel alone when I even look in the mirror. I want to be sober so bad, I feel your pain. Keep trying.

Man it’s crazy, my head was so big during my addiction that I didn’t even realize all my hero’s were preaching sobriety and trying to help me the whole time, we all can do it you just got to want it and give yourself a chance
The way Theo describes his addiction to his own emotional pain is literally how I feel and never knew how to articulate. I relate to this man so much.

You're not alone there bud. My last three years have been an increasing downward spiral but I've got to be honest with myself, I've had a problem for a long time. And I'm going to start trying to get help now, because like theo said, I'm sick living with myself.

Tony Mandrich was a hyped machine. Great run blocker, college player but his skill set didn’t translate into an All-Pro, left tackle. Tony was a great run blocker but didn’t have great feet to play left tackle. In my opinion guard was his best position and he had a decent career during his tenure with the Colts; he was a third round talent. The Sports Illustrated magazine propelled him to the second pick in a very talented draft.

Well...I’ve been on my knees praying for help or a sign or something from 11-19 then gave out while in marines & then again from around 25 years old til 36...and I’ve got NOTHING to show for it...
I shoulda died a few times but miraculously didn’t...
But nothing...yet I need The Heavenly Father now more than ever & he’s NO WHERE near nor will He help...but I still believe...
I still know He exists...I just know He ain’t gonna help me!
bro im really glad I read this comment, I have often felt the same way...I look at the story of Job in the Bible..Job was a good man who loved God and had it all, a big happy family and lots of fields and money. the Devil went to God and said surely Job only loves you because he has everything a person could want..God allowed the devil to take it all from Job, Job lost his whole family, they were killed, his fields burned, everything, even his own health, he was covered in boils... Job still loved God but cried out why, why would this happen.. then God came and showed Job that he uses all things even things for his will and good even that wich the devil intended to use to hurt us. in the end Jobs wealth and health was all restored but the moral of the story is many of us will experience hardship in this life, especially those who have been saved and those who follow Jesus...even Jesus himself was killed on a cross..I myself found myself in a situation where I have lost my job my wife all my money, and had to overcome drug porn and alcohol addiction..I felt cursed like I had been delt a bad hand..but I realized how important it is to stay faithful, pray everyday, read the word everyday, and now I find myself in a situation where I use my time to help others...many people feel exactly like you do, but I truly believe some people feel like there not good enough, or God docent love them...thats not true at all. feel free to hmu, id be happy to talk, whatever ru need man I gotchu, just stay positive bro!

if you pray that prayer out loud and believe it, you will be saved. anybody who wants 2 know more about turning you're life over to the Lord, hmu. I myself have overcome drugs and alcohol, I had always thought God didn't want me, or I was 2 messed up for the Lord, thats not true, he wants to help you, he will change you're life, im here for anyone who needs it
