    All this food looked yummy but the only ingredients I would be able to get locally would be rice for the first dish. I have no idea what any of the other ingredients were or where I would l get them? I've realised this is the issue with a lot of the blue zone the ingredients are hard to come by.

    I love this! But this seems very difficult. I’m turning 20 skins and I guess you can say I’m a self made chef, but I’ve cooked a lot of different Asian foods. This diet seems very difficult to transition to…especially since I have a certain palette and they didn’t really put any seasonings in any of these.

      These recipes were developed specifically for women who had just given birth, so they are on the 'softer' side. You are free to season Okinawan dishes however you like though. I often add garlic and other spices to a variety of Okinawan dishes when I am feeling it, because eating healthy doesn't have to be boring nor restrictive.
