I had to cut a hole in the hood to clear the intake. And I cut the inside webbing out of both of them. So they're a lot lighter than stock. And currently I cut the whole trunk/ass off the car, and put on some 5th gen Prelude taillights, It looks like a CRX rn.
Did the same thing with my Acura 99... swapped the little J32A for the J32A2... followed by upgrading the IM (used the J37 one) and finally upgraded the 2.25 exhaust to 2.5.... it's a day&night difference... I want to supercharge it.. but.. don't know if I should XD
I been looking for the j37 intake at the parts yard but no luck yet. I'm actually about to swap the motor into a 99 Civic check out some of the newer videos.
so wait I can swap the IM from a J37 and put into my j32a2? would there need to be any modifications done for it to fit or can I just plop that bitch in
Great video! Excited to see more of this CL. Do you know roughly how much weight you were able to remove? That's the fastest auto CL Type S iv seen. Haha very impressive for a allmotor build.
It's at 2800 rn. I didn't weight it before but wiki says 3450 I think. So approx 700 lbs. Thanks bro it is pretty fast its been surprising me. Lmk of you have any suggestions for future content on it.
@@octanemayhem2686 That is a good bit of weight! For future content i think it would be cool to see some speedo runs, maybe a little indepth video of the weight removed and talk about your plans/ goals for the build moving forward.
Definitely get the J37 IM solid gain there, Crazy how that heavy 5 speed is keeping up with those cars weight reduction definitely makes a difference, I'd need a 2nd CLS6 to strip down to the door skins lol, Seats alone are stupid heavy. Curious why the 6 Speed wasn't put back in?
For 1 to make the swap easier, 2 I didn't have money for a new clutch at the time. And 3, it was too fresh not to use it for atleast the rest of the summer. (135k) Now that I'm ready to put the swap into a civic, we'll definitely be putting the 6 spd in. ..This CL is just too damn heavy lol. I've lost almost 800 lbs and still at 2740. And the 90s civics are 2094-2513 to start. I'm hoping w the 6 spd in it to have it around 2k total weight. I don't see getting that much more weight of the CL lol, I've already cut the whole ass off of the car it almost looks like a CRX rn.
@@RBEmpathy It came 6spd, I have everything ready to go when the AT gives out. And yes definitely want to have some forced induction. In the mean time I'm thinking maybe a 100 shot. Idk yet. For sure get some more weight out of it.
Ported tb, intake, lower runners and a %25 underdrive pulley will yield 10-15 whp on this motor and cost less than $200 if you can do the port work yourself 👍👍 I know bcuz I have one 😉
My favorite video. Amazing swap and performance 👏
*_Super awesome build! I love seeing these 3 litter swapped Hondas. 🔥_*
omG , CL types S (sleeper) hanging with the 5.0 ‘s ….amazing
Omgggg can this engine go inside of an Accord Coupe.. This video was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 #TypeS😭💫
Yeah bro Accords came with the J30 after 98. Same motor mounts I'm pretty sure.
I'm actually swapping it into a 99 Civic coupe rn. Check out the latest video.
@@octanemayhem2686 😌😌 Awesome, thanks for replying 👌🏽.. I'M GETTING IT 💯

Хочу в wvT4 такой swap )))
I have all these mods plus wayyy more and wonder if mine could hang?

The trunk and hood weight a ton

Comptech Headers (open), J35 Intake
Manifold, some weight reduction
