The album "Destiny" is what you are looking, melodic compositions from start to finish. "Innocence is no excuse" is an also great suggestion, although the stuff there is heavier than "Destiny"
Great band... but this 'hair metal' / 'glam' look was very ill advised. Whitesnake they were not. Biff's a great singer, but he looks like an old geezer in a wig. As far as the image went, this was a very, very, very bad move.
