kinda weird thing, Ive been using the setting of "Using Psychical Gunstock" without actually using one, when you ready your gun, to auto snaps onto your shoulder, I've been hitting straight beams with it, would recommend
For point firing, consider the distance between the front and back iron sight. If you're using a pistol, the bullet will land about the same distance from the front iron. If you're using a rifle, it's usually about half the distance. By doing this, I can easily imagine exactly where the bullet will land
1:40 irl to clear rooms you drop the gun off your shoulder and let it ride your forearm just like you said not to do... I've won so many gunfights doing that in game as well

I thought I was doing something wrong.. virtual gunstock is basically unusable for me. Gun kicks left right, up down, depending on what gun I'm holding.
what lmfaooo blind fire is real technique used in real gun fights. why the actual fuck would you ever prevent players from having the choice to use that when they see necessary?
Wouldn’t stop the broken blindfires you’re talking about. It only locks it to your chest when it’s near it, but if you disconnect it from your chest it’s just like any gun in VR. So you can just stick the gun out from you and just spray around a corner.
I've never shot anything that required a stock on it so the first 3 minutes of this video was super helpful. Dunno why I never thought of it- probably because keeping your right arm pinned is not something you think to do using kbm. Imma go test the difference and see how it helps!
Quick tip for The gunstock setting: I can use it with or without and have the same aim although getting good with No gunstock is hard it has more benefits such as hell peeking (when somone is in a corner in a doorway and you just stick your gun and point in there general direction and fire) and also it’s better not to use it in close range bc people like to jump alot ALSO NEVER USE IT WITH SNIPERS!
This. My brother got a sick kill against a fully kitted guy camping a corner in a huge room. He made an educated guess as to where he was hiding and smoked him with fully auto fire. The dude was spraying back but his only target was a small hand and an m4

I tried virtual stock in into the radius for about 3 seconds, and decided it was icky and never ever tried it again. But i trust you, ill give it a real try tonight
@Tanvarian also I have a question about crouching for items , if I try bend over to pick something up from a crate my legs move forward and push me away. Or is the game forcing me to squat properly?
On quest my hands like to drift to the side while holding guns, although this doesn’t seem to be a problem until I need to fight. I have figured out holding my hands further away from myself fixes for the most part, it’s so uncomfortable and can’t aim either Edit: This is without virtual stock, now that I’m using virtual stock it doesn’t seem to be swaying from side to side anymore
I do not have a visor on my own, but one of my dearest friends works for a software company that develops vr headsets and she told me that the closest your hands are to the visor the more difficult it is to pin-point exactly where they are and what actual movement they are doing, and that this is caused by the hardware itself, it is not something fixable with better coding
The problem with aiming is that the sights dont line up. If i aim at a person abt 50 meters away, and line it up with them dead in the center. It will not hit them. But if i aim at the very bottom with the sight. It will hit them dead on. I know its for realism. But thats not how sights work, you can adjust sights to make it where its dead on. It should mot miss if i shoot at them and they are directly in my crosshairs.
There’s a difference between pushing and swinging. Yes pushing a fight is generally a disadvantage and the enemy is ready for you but it’s also important to remember that when swinging you have the advantage in timing and how much you can do before the enemy recognizes you swung. If you know how to swing you will win the majority of those fights
honestly ive tried using the virtual gunstock for almost a week now and im just starting to dislike it more and more.. it ALWAYS points my gun upwards a ton more than i actually do, to thw point where i have to angle my front controller like 20° below my virtual hand to align the iron sights, ive tried to get used to it for almost a week but its just getting more and more frustrating
The main thing that bothers me with Virtual Gunstock is that it breaks when your right controller is too close to your shoulder. I like to put my scope next to my face in an unrealistically close manner. However, when I place my controller on my chest, the Virtual Gunstock breaks and tilts my gun to the right. I would love it if there was a way to fix.
