this is all so damn quiet, it feels so out of place for a star wars animation but i love the realism. edit....and the realism flies out the window with the arching "turbo laser shell" of the strange destroyer
it also doesn’t behave like a turbolaser. dude literally slapped a battleship cannon on it and it behaves exactly like one, since the blast penetrates the GR75 *then* detonates, like an APHE shell
This was great, except the episode 8 like curving of the shot in space, but that's a minor detail. I love the speed and manoeuvrability advantage of the A-Wing really well depicted
If it's not too much to ask, @2:20 both sets of fighters should be jinking around, as the straight line pass would make it easier for enemies to line up a guaranteed kill shot. I understand what you were trying to do with the sequence starting @2:56 But... *Facepalms* Blasters, Laser, Turbo Lasers, etc. Are Line of Sight weapons, as in, unless a large force (the extreme gravity of a very massive star for instance) is acting on them, they go straight. That means, they don't arc _down_ onto the target. Furthermore, they travel at high relativistic speeds, making it impossible for a person to deliberately intercept them. What you needed to use, in this sequence, are proton torpedoes, missiles, and other such self-guided munitions. Other than that, well done battle.
@shdude9682, Valid criticism is to encourage improvement. I didn't demean, insult, or otherwise ridicule the production team. I pointed out one thing I would like to see. And one thing that was made in error which damaged my immersion. Other than those two things, it is a well done video.
I thought those were ATTE style shells (mass drivers with a plasma coating on em, the arcing could be explained if someone dropped a gravity well mine or plugged an interdictor somewhere off screen). Also no turbolasers dont fly at relativistic speeds, if they are we'd be seeing the battle ranges went from close quarters warfare to sniping between ships with a distance some 2/3rds of a light second away (which doesn't ocure in star wars at all)
@@caktitaqiwicaksana6018, From Wookieepedia "A laser or a laser beam, was a beam of coherent light operating under similar principles as blaster weaponry. Like blaster bolts, laser beams were considered particle beams, but unlike blaster bolts which were formed from ions of gas, laser beams consisted of particles of light known as photons, which moved at the speed of light." The reason we don't see them travelling at light speed is... we wouldn't see them, lol. Therefore, they must be slowed down for us, the audience, can see what's happening. People have done the math, and the DS-1's planet destroying laser had a velocity of 0.1c to 0.2c Grav drivers are LOS weapons... they can't arc... and interdiction fields don't create a gravity well in normal space... otherwise, they would be attracting a lot of mass in a battle... interfering in other ship's flight, etc. I won't go into how interdictors themselves are lore destroying.... as that's a topic for another time and place.
the “turbolaser” battery itself looks like a battleship gun battery that was just slapped onto the ship’s hull, and the “laser” behaves a lot like an APHE shell- penetrates the hull of the GR75 before detonating not exactly what a turbolaser does
I love how you really captured the darkness, emptiness and silence of outer space! Brought a welcomed taste of "realism" to a Star Wars setting that's never actually been there before. In space, all you'd see are the glow of the ship's engines and the interior lights coming through the ship's windows. I'd like to see MORE of that!
Just hearing the dull radio chatter over the thrum of the engines during the interior shots on the star destroyer's bridge was an especially nice touch!
I think the lighting in this was very good. But more work needs to be done on the cinematography. The camera angles, parallax, and scale felt very off in several shots. I think having the battle not be in such a desolate space would have helped. But very impressive overall for one person to do. Keep it up!

At first I thought it was an Empire At War mod Nice animation, that was impressive
Pretty gutsy exiting hyperspace into an asteroid field; guess that’s what shields are for. :). Awesome work! Edit: love the A-Wing shots…ohhhhh! Did that A-Wing sacrifice himself? Just curious, can the A-Wing’s side cannon swing in a circle? That is, can they rotate to fire backwards? Anyway, spectacular job, this was really great stuff.
cool video, though if you do videos where the empire just gets beat hard and doesn't act like a threat then it makes them not intimidating and threatening, you should have had those ties do more is all I'm saying
I see some rebels dislike this animation. Long live The Empire!
just because the "BAD GUYS" won does not mean its a bad animation
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE
A very excellent animation! Long live the Empire.

At that distance (implied) maybe it was just the pull of the planet's gravity well.
@@griffinsummoner lol, no. planet is off to the side.

Good lord. Maybe you should start making them instead of criticizing.

1:35 oh nice, Gozanti-Class Carriers 🤩 its one of my favorite Ships. And great Video! I enjoyed every Second of it. 👍

Dope animation, what variant of Star Destroyer are those two accompanying the larger ISD?
I think that model is inspired from Pinterest. The model that looks to be referenced from seems to be a larger model of a Scorpion class cruiser.
@@kenobi4208 definitely one of the cooler ISD’s I’ve seen.
It was a free use model off of Sketch fab by the creator Conner Bentley, called the Invictus Class Star Destroyer. I really cool design!
@@bbseskits it reminds me a lot of the Vindicator Star Destroyer, like seeing two competitive designers showcasing there designs to kuat Drive yards.
@@bbseskitsWas that the battleship-looking one (or ones)? Looked like WWII ship cannon, pretty tough.

What class of Star Destroyer were the two smaller ones?
That's 4 minutes I'm not getting back

i mean, other than the whole turbolaser blasts arcing like they did in that stupid last jedi movie, very good.
I think the Invictus(?) class is honestly a better-designed Victory
The four smaller thrusters on a Star Destroyer are the hyperdrive engines. They aren't lit up in subspace. Pretty good graphics though.
No they aren't. They're additional thrusters and there are scenes in the OT where they're lit up in subspace. Most notably the Battle of Endor.

This is super nitpicky, and I'm sorry to do this!
Siege is misspelled. Hope this helps people find your creation easier!
No, you’re absolutely correct, thank you so much!
What I don't understand is why the rebel ships stayed there, is impossible they could win against these destroyers.
Should've done better with showing Rebel starfighter casualties. The A-wing flying in front of a turbolaser shot was strange as well.
