I'm seeing Z1 Extreme models on FB Marketplace selling used for $300 usd w/accesories. At this price, it has to be one of best price to performance handhelds.
Here in the Philippines the SD oled is actually $80 more expensive than this, got mine for 2 weeks now upgraded my ssd to 1tb then installed windows 10 aside from the crap batt life so far its been a very good experience.
Erm, I heard about the issues people were having however I’ve never used SD cards to play games so I can’t comment personally probably better to just install a new ssd as will be faster too
I really wouldn’t recommend that, just been honest because it’s really underpowered especially for the price difference it can’t really play many AAA games, if old games and super light weight games are more your thing then maybe worth considering but if it’s any more than $200 it’s stay clear. It’s one of those situations, if what you wanna play works well for this model then its worth it but make sure you do research first, watch benchmarks etc
The best handheld comes with 32 gigs of RAM. Period. It probably doesn’t matter a lot which one tbh. But I have an Aya Neo slide with 32 gigs of RAM & nothing that is using 16 gigs can possibly compete with it. Also, you can attach a GameSir pro 8 isometric controller to a 14 inch V3 windows tablet & create a 14 inch handheld device that is a heck of a thing, even if it only has 16 gigs of RAM. An OG Ally can’t compete with that either.
It has the best specs and performance out of all gaming hand helds. With the rog ally x that one has the best battery, ram and processor. It uses a ips panel but I have a 27 240hz oled on my desktop and it's not a huge difference except in the blacks. The ips is easier on eye strain. Steam os fanboys act like windows is horrible but if you have a desktop already you should be well versed with the software. I use the ally because my epic games launcher catalog is 3 times the size of my steam library. So the battle net launcher, Rockstar and ea launchers can all run. It's just a miniature version of my desktop who's my really gaming ally. The ally can run all of the single player, emulators and indie games.

Given its price point and capabilities, its the best handheld right now, and that's in spite of its dreadful battery life.

Seen good offer for the non Extreme model in my area. Will that be a good for now? Or just get/search for the Z1Extreme model?
