I saw in internet that switch 2 is coming around april 2025, is it still worth buying switch oled model in 2024? this would be my 1st switch.

I just bought my third Switch OLED. It's AMAZING. Best console hands down and i own a ps5 and a series x.

For me is the best console ever made Sony and Microsoft must take notes from Nintendo!

Idk I got it for 199€ wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't that cheap but I'm not 100% sold yet. I already have a ps5 so any performance games obviously run way better/ only on ps5. I'm really looking forward to the old Star Wars games, mainly Star Wars the force unleashed which I loved when I was a child. Also Pokémon & Zelda but nintendo games are too overpriced ngl

The best thing i decided to buy was this Nintendo Switch Oled. I feel so great to play Zelda BOTW and TOTK on it. The color, the experience is something once in a life.

It's not good, it's dated, underpowered

100% personal opinion: if you have a ps5 dont waste your money on ps5 pro but wait for the ps6 chaches are gta 6 for example is not gonna be able to run on the 5 and if it does it will not be so good experience so save your money for now. for the rest of the games there are people that have done honest reviews and the differences are not enough for the price it has. Also for that ammount of money you can buy a gaming pc or atleast a big part of it that you can do many more things and more futureproof because of upgradability

The issues I had with the Lite was no rumble, the screen was noticeable worth, but the deal breaker was the sticks were always bad, and only got worse. It is a pain to replace the sticks on the Lite. Also the battery life is actually worse than the OLED.

Build quality of the translucent material?

Bought mine couple of months ago in eBay (after owning a v1 for years), WiFi was damaged and due to that paid 130 bucks. For me it’s perfect since the dock has Ethernet, and I never play online with Switch!

Oled switch is so perfect I afraid switch 2 wont be able to repeat the predecessor's equilibrium and will be good console but not as perfect as oled switch.

I have the Zelda OLED and oh my god, I put in like atleast 2 hours a day on it, not a single issue, note I don’t use the Zelda Joycons because I don’t want them to get stick drift so I use my pro controller instead.

The two games I'm most looking forward to on PS5 Pro is Stellar Blade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth... Guess which of these I can't play on PC -> BOTH. Third on my list is Resident Evil 4, and then Demon's Souls, the latter of which is again, not available on PC. So yeah, it's a stupid argument to begin with. And even if all the games were available to play on PC, most people's entire games library is on the PS5, so why wouldn't they just upgrade to the PS5 Pro instead of jumping through hoops to build a PC, only to then have to re-buy all their games and lose all their DLC and progress in the process. The whole 'buy a PC' argument never made sense to Playstation gamers in the first place.
