FINNINGLEY DEFIB - COUNCIL DELAY
Well done to Cllr Jane Cox and Cllr Steve Cox of Finningley Ward showing what a ward councillor can do for their residents. A defibrillator purchased in a resident’s memory is yet to be installed due to council delays. The video below shows Cllr Jane Cox raising this in Council.
This is a sad story about council bureaucracy which effectively prevents the Council doing the right thing. Sadly the Mayor is going along with it too, demanding details in writing and not showing leadership in getting the problem resolved immediately which is what is called for.
