Oh wow, this person really must've put so much love into this album. Sometimes when I see collections like these that you can buy though, I'm like... but now if I buy this I won't have too much work and fun myself anymore lmao.
I had the same thought! I purchased it for the album and that first page, didn't realize the rest was so full of great stamps... good thing the gaps that remain are real hard to find stamps... still a project! I'm also working on a video about my France album that I've been working on for awhile... that's my favorite part about stamp collecting, so many fun little projects...
Great Collection!!! I have the newer Davo French album. I always get an immense pleasure looking at my French album. A lot of history in there.

about 6 months ago when i got serious into collecting stamps (mainly from Thailand)
there was a huge Thailand album listed on eBay via auction. at the time, I didn't have a Thailand stamp catalog book. my max bid was $700 because I saw similar stamps listed on other sellers' store so I base my bidding on those listings and someone else bid at the last second and won. now that I have a catalog book, that listing probably has a catalog value close to $10,000. at the time, i was thinking about bidding $1000.
for me, I use the catalog book to see the catalog value and give it a 70-80% discount. if I find something that is interesting, maybe I'll bid 50% of the catalog value.
Thai stamps... fascinating and beautiful... and absolutely agree about Cat value. Just did a video on my approach to it... I tend to think in 10 - 15% range, maybe I'm too pessimistic (or hopeful for deals). But still, catalogs are so helpful for identification. The rare gems tho I'll pay more for sure, especially when they fill gaps in my collection
Its a standard procedure the last second bidding. it comes from the merchant when the bid is too low and wants to avoid giving the item too cheap. it happens most of the times and its really frustrating.
@@vedista i agree, i reported like three sellers just last month alone. i usually give the seller another chance, if I see the seller listed for the third time then I report to eBay. don't know if eBay really investigated it though. sometimes, I confront the sellers via eBay message and they'll say the buyer back out but the seller doesn't even offer to me. I just trying to trap them so that when eBay saw the email, the seller get banned or something.
but I did bought a huge British stamp album from the seller (mentioned in the original comment) for like $30 because no one bid so I end up paying shipping + starting price, I uploaded a video it as well.
I bought one of the Davo GB albums. I think I noticed this album but wasn't interested in the price tag even with all the stamps
have my Gb in Davo and have an extra set of pages for section 2

Does anyone know where ebay sellers find their thousands of used stamps that they sell? Who is their supplier?
I know some consign... something I've looked into for albums I've gotten in lots that didn't fit into my collection... haven't done it, yet, but my wife probably would like me to. Was told recently I have too many.....
