Hi Jim. Yes, they are interesting, it probably helps that there have been generations of clever and well- resourced collectors who've built on each other's research leaving us with terrific catalogues and books which we can often take for granted but really bring the subject to life.
How can you get bored at that !! Phenomenal. Take your time please. I love early gb . Line engraved More information the better for me. I have every black Every red from black Every bantam I love it.!
You can do it! Time and patience plus keeping the focus quite tight are the keys, in our opinion. Both Andy and Vincent collect but they keep their areas narrow so they can build exceptional collections without running out of money (they are both pretty cheap...). Andy collects the postcards and postal history of Anglesey, and Vincent collects 19th Century El Salvador!
Hello Ray. I'm glad you like it. We've decided to offer a number of the items from the collection individually in our 11th/12th November 2022 public auction, otherwise we've kept many of the remaining stamps together to make smaller lots still on the album pages - such as a collection of the 1841 1d red imperforates, another (with those lovely strips) of the 1841 2d blue imperfs, they'll all be in the same auction as well. Thanks for your lovely comment.
Nice collection my friend .question old uses estimates stamps on value on action like england france austria and many countries more from 1850 to 1960.canceles stamps too some strong and most clear. Twaskyou Twaskyou
I have 100s and 100s of stamps plus a lot of old postcard with stamps on them would love to sell them all but would like to know value so where do I go from here to get that done?
Hello Jen. Stamps are arguably the most complex of all the collectables with identical - appearing stamps being worth wildly different amounts due to inks, watermarks, perforating machines and condition (it's impossible to grade condition without a lot of experience). Your best bet is to take them to a dealer or specialist auction like us. Try to Google 'stamp dealers' or 'stamp auctions near me', or go to the PTS (Philatelic Traders Society') website as it's a useful resource. If you are still not sure give the office at Sandafayre a call and we'll try to find someone near you. Fingers crossed!
Hello! Not sure what you mean, is this something in the video? Please give us a bit more information by emailing stamp@sandafayre.com and we'll do our best to help.
Enjoyed it! Kudos to the collector.
Early British stamps are strangely fascinating, nothing else like them

Great collection. I am hoping to achieve something like that, but a long way to go yet. But will keep trying.
