  • This video outlines setting up a Ceramic 3D Printer Profile, Clay as a Material and a Slicing Profile for clay extrusion 3D printing. With Ceramic 3D printing we tend to use the technology developed for plastic printing and adapt it for clay material. The very powerful Ultimaker Cura slicing software is free to download and use but there are no settings for clay so this video offers guidance on how to do that.
For further documentation see my downloadable guide on Clay 3D Printing - www.keep-art.co.uk/journal_1.html.

Excellent. I'm already having Cura slicing issues with a 1mm nozzle and plastic. PrusaSlicer did a much better job for me.

Thank you so much for this video. What print settings do you use for the clay material when you create it? You just show the information window.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking, there are a mass of print settings when using clay? If you look in the video information above there is a link to the free guide I have published that is available on my website. In that guide is written documentation of settings in Cura for clay printing. You might find that helpful.

how do I print with a big nozzle? I'm trying to print with a 4mm nozzle and its super slow. I set the nozzle on cura 2mm and material at 1mm. layer height 1.2 mm and wall thickness 4mm
