    Fun review. I do wish it were a shaft drive vs the chain. I went in a smaller direction with a 2022 NC750X. Do wish it had that screen. Oh well, always a trade off and what keeps us coming back for the next bike.

    As usual. Some of the best bike content on the web with typical laconic humor. As for those commenting on the app selection, how is it you know at quick glance what app it is…..Ah Scotland let’s bury the haggis…😆

    Nicely done ThankYou 👍
    Yes it is a bit cold this month , it is good to see you becoming friends with the DCT gearbox
    i think the foot-pegs placement are copied directly from the Africa Twin and are also meant for standing
    and the only way to reach the ground are to keep one foot in front and the other behind the foot pegs 🦶

    Nice work on the overall video. You created quite a nice piece to watch and pretty captured the intended purpose of the NT1100 and one that unsurprisingly follows Hondas design ethos. In my eyes a bit understated and "Vanilla". But it seems to have emerged as a nice offspring of the contributing "parents" of the AF and XADV. Cool. Cheers,

    Totally beautiful, but I would not own a touring bike with a drive chain. My heart is still with my 2000 ST1100 for long distance rides.

    • @Motoeuro
      @Motoeuro  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fair comment but a shaft on the 1100 would mean massive engineering changes, more cash! Take away the ‘extras’ it’s a £10k bike !

    I was hoping for something more like an Africa twin with 17" wheels bit like a multistrada. This thing is huge. And I think the engine let's this down, a 1100 triple would be better with 125hp. Or a v3 if we're dreaming.

    Why Honda couldn’t provide a similar adjustable screen on the standard Africa Twin is bewildering, as is the lack of a 12v socket.
    As for feeling planted on 17” rims, the AT is also well planted despite being on 21” hoops. The suspension and rubber is well dialled from the factory on both bikes. It will be interesting to see how the NT sells given the existence of the NC750 and the AT. I do wonder what other alternatives a prospective NT1100 buyer would cross shop with.
    I trust you finished your cuppa this time round and missed the swear jar.

      I ordered the nt1100 next week. I was considering a kawasaki versys 1000 and a ducati multistrada v2. In the end the screen and the engine convinced me of the NT. I considered the DCT too, but i was not 100% dure whether it was something I like, so i bought the normal one plus quickshifter.

      With respect, knowing someone's height will be of no help to you. A 7ft tall man with a 28 inch inseam won't be flat footing that bike. Inseam length and spine length are what you need respectively for flat-foot data and for wind shield data. Yet 98% of bike reviewers on here simply give their height. Good luck. Joe

    Belt drive would have been nice! Virtually maintenance-free compard to chain and sprockets, and without the complexity, added weight, and added cost of a shaft drive. Since this bike is aimed at the touring/sport touring crowd, Honda dropped the ball in this regard, IMHO.

      Agree! At least it comes with a centre stand so it's easy to lube the chain. This may be the ideal bike for me, combining the things I liked about my Versys 1000 with what I like about my too heavy but very comfortable Voyager 1700 tourer.
