Yamaha will sell a ton of these things. Hard to beat it for the money. The looks aren't the greatest, but nobody leaves these bikes stock, and by the time you do a tail tidy and a few other things, it'll look pretty sweet. And you can't beat Yamaha reliability. Personally I can't wait for the revised XSR900.... love my 2016 in the 60th anniversary colors. That triple is so sweet. I'll be in line for one of the 2022 XSR900's you can bet on that.

Some changes from the previous generation I'm noticing:
    - New color screen that based on the video seems to admit/indicate that once the first bar of fuel is gone, half the tank is gone.
    - IMU
    - More ride-by-wire rider modes
    - Redesigned headlight
    - Eliminated the "Euro Style" license plate arm, went back to the traditional under-seat arrangement
    - Quickshifter standard
    - New brake cylinder master reservoir
    - Adjustable passenger pegs
    - Greater displacement
    - New turn signals (I guess Yamaha ran out of those hideous signals that came on my 2018 MT09.
The list of improvements is quite impressive, I must admit. Is it enough to make me want to upgrade my 2018? Nope. I'm a bit on the fence regarding the new styling as well. But I'm sure that anyone who buys this bike will have a massive grin on their face every time they give it the beans - these bikes and that CP3 engine are awesome.
Great video Adam, keep up the good work!

My problem is that for the new style looks horrible to me, I liked a lot better the old transformers look with the headlights. Also here in Mexico is super expensive, specially since the KTM Duke 890R and Street Triple RS are cheaper, specially the KTM. Yamaha and Kawasaki are crazy expensive here. Also I think the Yamaha is heavier vs the Triumph and KTM, and doesn't have as good brakes or suspension as the other two, specially the KTM. Too bad because I think that the Yamaha is probably the better built and more reliable of the three.

While the FZ/MT 09 is perhaps the best motorcycle Yamahas has ever build due to the entire package capabilities it does in no way take away from the Street Triple 765 RS. The characters of either bike will suit a variety of riders. The MT has it's raw angry engine, Triumph it's clockwork smooth deceptively quick 3 cyl. Ride both and decide neither is any better for those who chose either.

The most important components of any bike is the brakes and suspension. It makes the biggest difference between a confidence inspired fun ride and a scary death ride when pushed hard.
Unfortunately they still use ultra low quality KYB disposable suspension that's sprung for a max load of 170lbs, and horrible brake calipers, pads, hoses and small rotors.
We need regulations for manufacturers to build quality safe bikes, like Triumph does. And what's with the ugly styling from Japan. The headlight is unbearable. Why not at least offer a real headlight option, like on the Triumph Trident 660.

You are wrong sir, power mode 1 on the previous model was lesser powerful than this one. It's just the difference between mode 2 and mode 1. On the previous model was lesser powerful thus very noticeable difference.
This models SP version is superior than any Triumph as an overall package. If you are a committed rider there is no bike to catch you on a twisty road. Even short straights are hard to overtake this bike unless you have double the power. Accelerates so fast with the quick shifter!
