- Supreme is hailed as the coolest streetwear brand in the world.
Many know of its sold-out collaborations with prominent brands, including Louis Vuitton. And that its resale value can be as high as 1200% above the original price.
But few know the real story behind why the brand skyrocketed and how it all started at a Duracell factory.

Thank you for your belief , certainly it's worth relief which encourages me to leap forward!!!💪

That’s crazy people really pay 1200 for a 5 dollar t-shirt with a red box
It's mostly "rich" poor people trying to show off their "wealth". You also have some celebrities who get paid to wear it at events + actually rich idiots who are obsessed with it.
its also made of high quality materials aswell.
@@notgoodatvideogames3485 So are a bunch of shirts that don't cost $1000s, what's your point?
To put it in short, it's hype culture and it shows a social status in that culture.
I understand the social and clout aspect just the idea of it is mind boggling
*I recently sold my Supreme collection worth well over $25,000. Started collecting around 2005. The brand just isn’t the same anymore. Too many people want to resale now rather than actually wear the items*
I wear My Items. I Love my NorthfaceXSupreme Shirt and some of my New Era hats.
It's all smoke and mirrors. You're wasting your money on fads/outdated and bandwagon looking trends. But hey, you're gonna keep burning money on clothing that does nothing to enhance your life. Enjoy the free market.
@@xGRASHOPAxi feel that, i wear and tear all my supreme. Whole reason I bought it
I wear all my Supreme
This video is so fresh you need 2 packs of batteries.

Huh
Is this suppose to be funny?
“We’re making stuff we’re proud of”
Sells supreme brick 🙃
first time i ever see someone with the same pic as mine
They just make them. People don’t have to buy it... Brick sells out in minutes
It was the perfect test about how loyal hypebeasts are
@@zephyrglazkov3880 cab you send me ur pfp?
Bricks are the building blocks of everything.
This is the most detailed video I’ve seen on Supreme. It’s really, really inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing this! 🙌🙌🙌
"This story has humble beginnings. Papa was in the Air Force, Mother was a teacher, and little junior was a child actor".
The rags to riches/up from the streets narrative loses its edge when you say it like that.
Hey man you need to fix Takashi Murakami picture. That’s Madsaki. He’s a friend of Takashi Murakami.
Yeah, I know right!
"Louis Vatone"

“focus on quality not quantity” and “don’t be greedy” values that actually added value to a business. It can be done. Also I think it’s much better that the physical commodities are traded with markup rather than people buying and selling corporate stocks. Like when a stocks value goes up it’s not like the store gets more money or the products are worth more
So he did the opposite of what he said
"i want to do more"

Wait.. that's real?
@@Narovski yep
@@Narovski Don’t he own the beatles ? lol
@@Playlistv2 you know he's dead, right? Where can I find info about that? That's interesting. Or that's sarcasm? :D
@@Narovski I was in a clubhouse chat listening to a guy who co owns auto tune. Just process that, if you create something and have the rights for it you can potentially monetise something to never have to work again. So everytime someone uses auto tune, and don’t worry there’s a lot, he gets a cut, cause it’s his right of ownership of the auto tune, they’re using his thing. Very interesting to know if you can be caught out, there are COUNTLESS of artists selling their soul for a pittance of what it’s worth, such is the media and industry though as i did previously allude to!
Human nature is so fascinating. Great video
Whenever I saw someone with that brand, I just hoped they would avoid me
So glad I'm fortunate enough to be able to wear just $10 tailor fitted white tees and shorts with $5 flip flops... I live in Thailand and the Philippines now...
Rich people play the money game to win. poor people play the money game not to lose. the goal truly is, the rich people always want massive wealth, the poor sees a surplus as an opportunity for consumption instead of investing it...we have to change our mindset and do what the rich does, with the little we earn, which is investing it. the world is changing..
@Chris Davis To me I believe that investment is meant for the already rich, the rich invest their money in commodities, bonds, stocks, and now in crypto. when they are tired of working all day long having sleepless nights.
@@smithwillison6345 I will partially accept this claim.
Investment isn't that easy the way you guys see it
@@danhanson5314 Sir investment is easy. But only if you have mentor or an expert who do it for you.

crazy how life changes mane
Yeah man time flies i still remember when i was a kid and stuff....
There were so many supreme knockoffs in the Philippines that a lot thought it was just a cheap brand. The people who wore them were poor kids. None of the rich wore it.
Same goes to us in Malaysia... the knockoffs of Supreme product are now come back to where it is.... flea markets... can get more cheaper with slightly the same quality of their original tee... even the Supreme knockoff product have a reseller value in Malaysia...
This is the best story channel. The precise research really shows how much you care about perfection in your videos. Thank you 🙏🏿
Good quality content as always keep it up!
Awesome vid man congrats on 232k
7:25 "supreme became a hangout spot because skateparks weren't a thing yet" You must not know anything about skateboarding to be making this kind of autobiography

@@everready59 nice! But for them to say there was nowhere to skate is total joke! The whole financial district was our playground!
You must not know the difference between an autobiography and a biography
Imagine building an economy around extremely unlikely "rags to riches" stories like this.
Imagine having an Air Force Daddy, a teacher Mommy, and working as a child actor and still spinning it into a rags-to-riches story.
People are gullible.
This legend pioneered again and again "out of the box "
truly inspiring, in fact it is so inspiring that i want everyone to copy and paste this message on this video.

His pick for Supreme is not a coincidence. The Supreme team was a force in the underground.
Many Thanks for this video 👍👌💯😃
I went to the first Supreme the first week it opened. I have my skateboard with Supreme stickers and 2 shirts. I was 19 at the time.
The first person I saw wear supreme was 2011 and it was Tyler the creator. He made me buy a box logo anda hoodie. I swear he was ahead of that curve
maybe as far as celebrities go..

supreme doesnt make anything, all they do is buy wholesale and have someone brand it.
Basically Supreme hype is about who you know with a stolen Exxon gas button logo

Dude that's not Takashi Murakami, that's Madsaki.
fun facts:
-jabia was friend with skater before he open up supreme
-among of this skater are those who help created Phat Farm
-the designer of supreme logo was a skater and a very well know for creating Zoo York logo
-at the time zook york was big, jabia loaded his shop with Zook york, Real, etc
-he left his shop to the skater to run it, very flexible.
-most of the time supreme was loaded with skater watching skate vids in-front of his shop
-when the movie KIDS blew up (1995) the actor was the same circle who skated at supreme & a high time for jabia
-supreme was a real shop for skater and skateboarder when others rejected them.

Diane Kruger invented the typeface logo and red box. I haven't seen the video but they better add that and underscore it. She was their biggest inspiration and they know full well its her design. Take it from someone who knows them

Curious whyd u blur the logos when u showed the celebs
amazing story
Is supreme still in business
supreme has a store in denmark too
Very well done
Ppl that goes crazy of Supreme are sheeple
You could take a $3 shirt rub it around on the street put supreme on it and charge $1400 and people would really WANT it almost need it, absolutely ridiculous. But it’s dope to see how he came up with the brand no hate on the creator but... people stupid haha.
Fashion is my biggest stronghold. We’ll see how it goes
$7 for a red logo Marvel Comics T-Shirt is what I call cool and practical. $100 plus for a Supreme T-Shirt is dumb.I buy clothes because they represent things I truly like, not to proclaim I spent a lot of money on them.
