We Got Zara Above Ralph Lauren Before Gta6
😂
we got people using the gta 6 joke 2 months before 2025
@@boccia7470 we got you telling us that we got people using GTA 6 jokes 2 months before 2025 before GTA 6
ZARA clears RL easily. Without those clasic polos and caps RL is just another expensive dad clothes
@@yungjose3369 If you genuinely think Zara “clears” RL, you’re completely clueless about style. Zara is just fast fashion cheap and forgettable. Ralph Lauren is a brand that single handedly defined American elegance and sophistication. it’s an empire built on timeless quality and aspiration.
When you can’t tell the difference between a trend and a legacy, it’s clear you need a serious lesson in real style.
Completely disagree with Gap. It's way better than Zara with quality and even h&m. Should be in the would buy section.
Seconding this. I may be broke but their baggy jeans are my absolute favorite pants that I own, way better than the abercrombie, UO, and uniqlo stuff that I have.
Absolutely
I feel that people tend to confuse gap factory with gap, and yeah gap quality is crazy good I think people just have there factory store confused with there main store. Also there fits on things recently are catching up to the times! I recommend for yall to check out there oversize hoodies and zip ups if you haven’t for this season.
I agree with if Banana Republic is grouped in with GAP
GAP quality is great they just don't produce enough options or cool pieces that are readily Available
Fear of God quality to price ratio is also trash. It’s almost comical.
True
They fell off harder then Diddy
depends what pieces you buy, their hoodies and tops in general have been great quality for the price I buy at. Only essentials though, not any of the overpriced 'high end' stuff.
Yup.
To put ZARA over Ralph is pretty crazy. I mean ZARA does use very bad synthetic fabrics and sometimes even the stitching is bad.
i mean he almost put uniqlo, another fast fashion brand, in the top tier lmao
@@cosmicowl42069 we should normalise clothing having an acceptable price.
@@MrRicardVanNordstramNot as cheap as it should be, as their construction is getting shittier bit by bit, while the price is getting higher and higher.
@@Marnige Maybe not at the expense of human rights eh? besides Zara prices have gone up steadily and their quality is dogshit even for that price range, let's normalize not creating a million different designs to follow trends and instead produce cheap affordable basics like Uniqlo
@@MrRicardVanNordstram You know that Ralph Lauren, purple Label is one of the best craftsmanship in the world?
i like the format because it gives me a quick glimpse into brands i'm not familiar with. i would change the 'trash' category to 'not for me' because some people can't afford issey mitake or fear of god. trash is a little harsh if those are the only brands people can afford.
but overall great job tim!
Good suggestion! Maybe leave the trash tier for Shein though since it is an evil company haha
@@ericpaskach6329 wait how?
i thin its still useful because i've seen a few issey miyake while thrifting.
Agreed
@@ericpaskach6329wdym mate?
putting Reiss and Ralph Lauren below Zara made me feel like wasting my time watching this.
yeah. i dont think knowledge of these brands is good at all
Honestly just putting this compilation of all brands we should consider for fashion was really helpful. Great video Tim!
Yeah, names are useful but the tier list is very messy and confusing. Too many variables such as design, materials and craftsmanship. The best one did Gentleman's Gazette but reviewing streetwear is very problematic considering the repetitive designs, trashy materials and lack of craftsmanship. I mean Zara above Ralph Lauren? The only advantage of zara is that it copies bigger brands and is cheap. Zara doesn't deserve any place in the ranking, and being placed higher than a brand from the pool that it copies is simply disgusting.
GAP is really great quality and value for money, IF one knows what to pick. For me, up there with Uniqlo.
MASSIMO DUTTI and ZARA being in the same tier with Kapital, Marney and Cos should be a crime
He's basing it off his own prefference not anybody else. Lmao
Why is his opinion a crime
@@arty_lerry7730 it shouldn't be though. the video title is "ranking clothing brands from best to worst." it seems like tim is sorting the tier list based on if he buys from the brand or not. objectively, zara shouldn't be in the same tier with cos, kapital, etc.
@@for_nothing_important well yeah. He's making video based on his prefference. Not on some colective sales data.
For me all those "fashion houses and runways" are trash brands. But for him it's outstanding.
I'd never buy from anything fashion related.
Loro piana for example is supposedly some god tier brand.
But I'd never buy anything from them. So they trash to me.
I buy mostly SuitSupply stuff. They fit me the best and look the best and have good/best quality. In my opinion.
I could say a million things about this, but really, I think ranking this many brands at once is almost impossible. Some brands are good in one area, abysmal in others. Some brands peddle what I'd call trash relative to the price (Essentials), but some people are fine with the quality because they're buying the aesthetic, so to each their own. Some brands I'd like to load into a cannon and shoot into the sun (Shein, Zara, etc.). Some brands are still basically fast fashion but can offer fair value for money (Uniqlo, Muji, COS, Arket). Some brands are an octopus with many legs/brands, and differences in quality among them (Polo vs Purple Label vs RRL). Some brands live squarely in department store purgatory, and aren't very good in quality but can be decently high-utility for the price when on sale (CK, DKNY). Some brands are only somewhat above mid, largely overpriced, masquerading as luxury, or "affordable luxury" (Reiss, Sandro, Allsaints). Some brands just sort of are what they are, and aren't extraordinary, but don't really try to fool anyone (Suitsupply, Massimo Dutti). Some brands are riding a wave of hype I don't think they deserve (Abercrombie). Some brands are putting out really solid, albeit pricey clothing (Lemaire, Studio Nicholson, Marni, Our Legacy, ALD, Nanushka). Some brands need to figure out what/who they are now (Off-White, Supreme, Kenzo). Some stuff is straight up designer in my eyes, meaning that if you're buying it, you know the markup is wild, but you don't care (Loewe, Jaquemus, Bottega, Kapital). Some brands I don't know what to think of anymore (Jil Sander). Some legends will never die (Rick, Issey).
All in all everyone has to weigh quality (not always easy to identify), price, design, etc. for themselves
Thoughts on Kith?
@@KritimBista-bb5vu I don't have a ton of experience wearing their stuff, but from what I've seen it's well thought out, construction is decent, and I think their designs lately are overall really nice. If I were buying it I'd probably stick to the pieces that are 100% cotton, or 100% wool, etc., unless it's a technical garment.
Ralph being that low is rage bait. You can’t fool me
Dude dresses like a 15 yr old. Its not surprising.
For me, Uniqlo is the GOAT
Yes!! As someone even into classic menswear, they have pieces I love too! Amazing quality for the price
hit and miss for me, a lot of their products feel very cheap
Uniqlo is the meta
Uniqlo is the best price to quality , but these days their UT collabs are getting more and more lame
Not anymore....the quality is decreasing then 10 years ago...and i was their loyal customers back then and still have many their clothes that have better qualities then todays uniqlo with the same articles
Ralph Lauren deserves Goat category!
100%
should have disclosed for the newcomers on here that in the same way massimo dutti is zara's "higher end" line, COS is h&m's "higher end" line. still priced within the premium high street tier.
RL Polo in mid is wild!! They literally have just about everything you'd want that you would get from someone else. Polo is always a buy unless you just want to try another brand but theres nothing they dont have.
Nah.. Ralph Lauren is GOAT. even if it isn't trending right now, they're still GOAT
Reiss and Ralph ranked mid is criminal, considering Ralph has purple label where the quality of the fabrics is much higher and Reiss is similar in some styles to Ralph but slightly cheaper and their fabric blend percentage is still really good, but you rank other brands lower in quality like Uniqlo and Zara (Zara does have some good quality items but not enough) which are ranked higher 🤨
This was more based/ biased on what style you like rather than price and quality.
Reiss has fallen off a cliff in terms of quality after being acquired by Next.
@@vakeesan c'mon and recent Uniqlo - materials at ZARA level... and ZARA being would buy... trash for ZARA mid with movement towards Trash for Uniqlo.
Why exactly? Ralph quality is not better at all but much more expensive
This is very bad tier list.
Style is also Tim’s consideration. Old money is not his style so it won’t rank high for him
The fact Gap is so far down and Uniqlo and Zara so far up + the fact brands like Patagonia, Carhartt, Dickies etc. are not even in the conversation go to show this list is highly subjective and of very little use for the viewers. The criteria behind categories like «Trash» and «would buy» are way too mysterious anyway. The main criteria that should really matter are design + durability.
What companies would you recommend?
I gotta say (and this should be very obvious to anyone watching) that this list is VERY biased. I think this list is probably fairly accurate to anyone going for a similar aesthetic of style. Tim is halfway between streetwear and minimalist fashion. If that’s your cup of tea, you probably agree with him. Personally, I tend to wear a lot of office casual pieces (not a single T-shirt or pair of baggy jeans in my wardrobe) because of the line of work I’m in. My list would look RADICALLY different. Banana Republic is at the top of my list with affordable quality pieces.
What other companies you'd recommend?
I'll go a step further and say he doesn't know what he's talking about, the list is just nonsense
I wouldn't put Calvin Klein in the trash!
If you're into a tailored fit, Calving Klein knows how to cut the garment for a tailored fit. Even women's dresses are well fitted.
205W39NYC was the only line keeping CK above trash tier and they shuttered that.
Mate, it's like you read my mind. Just finished with improving my ' basics' wardrobe with a bunch of uniqlo stuff, and now trying to move towards standout pieces. This is exactly what i needed. thank youuuuu
Bro called Ralph Lauren "mid" (my heart is breaking)
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been trying to make a list of brands like this by my self for quite some time now, but I always end up finding the same, boring brands, get frustrated and abort the mission. Having all those brands presented and rated by you is so helpful ♥️
Man I loved Zara
I remember when I was young I got their bootleg teddy jacket and EVERYBODY would compliment my “YSL bomber”. I felt so rich in it
I'm sorry but the placing of Ralph Lauren is genuinely insane
The Ralph Lauren and Abercrombie & Fitch tiers are genuinely egregious.
A&F has stepped their game up in recent years. It’s not the same douche bag/tight pants brand of yesteryear.
@@CNote415 still isn’t as high quality as RL.
It’s weird to put Massimo Duti in the same tier as A&F even though he said he doesn’t wear it much, but put RL in the tier below when he said earlier it was basically the same vein as massimo duti. RL is high quality. I don’t wear it anymore but I used to, labeling the brand mid is crazy.
Thanks Big Tim. You put me onto my whole closet since your first white shirt vid in 2018. this is exactly the video i needed to get me on game for the next few years. Appreciate you
Great video, would love to see a repeat for next year! Thanks Tim!
Massimo Dutti pieces are very good quality. I’m a broke 10th grader so I can’t afford a lot of stuff even from there, but when I wanna treat myself with something nice, I go there. Got myself 2 QUALITY T-shirts, black and white. 30€ each but I say it’s absolutely worth it since I don’t have Uniqlo stores in my country. Also got a quarter zip sweater which I love
I feel the same. I especially like their knitwear collection. Feels very rich in texture, fits well, and had some nice colors as well.
Their wool/leather stuff has got to be the best of the best. You can feel the purity of the materials when you wear them and it’s a beautiful feeling
Nah it's not that good trust me
I think they are amazing value, though not quite the quality they used to be compared to their vintage pieces. Still an absolute steal though!
You saying this as a 10th grader is wild. A whole child
Ralph Lauren is the highest Quality Brand on there. When you're talking about LEGIT Ralph Lauren. You're just very young and follow fast fashion.
Yes. Dressing like a child.
Honestly, I like to see you judge clothes from GAP! I know it's not for everyone, but I prefer GAP over h&m!
I agree with you totally!
I'm a Ralph Lauren faithful. I don't even know what the rest of it is for...
what's wrong with Gap and Hollister? Gap is honestly really high quality for the price and Hollister has good basics.
Ralph should be in goat tier bro 😭😭
It's ok to wear trash lil bro
@@Kevin-mx4vm no its not! Stand up for ur self and stop wearing trash, u should know better...
Hopefully you do more vids like this, Tim. Loved it! ❤
not a fan of this format tbh. one thing I like about your videos is that they're always positive (try this, try that, get inspired by this, etc), but this format forces you to be negative (this is trash, this is bad, you look ugly if you wear this)
someone who could only afford Primark/River Island/etc wouldn't feel as uplifted by these videos as they would from your other content
This
GAP quality (cut, material, steam and stitch) is much better than Uniqlo and Zara. Not trendy nor fashionable, but nothing less than Uniqlo. For instance, wearing GAP oversized tee and tank top make Uniqlo ones feel like trash.
This video shows that even people who make videos about fashion and style, also have some bad opinions about fashion and style 😂😂
Format video was awesome!!! Yes bring more of this type. It does help a lot when narrowing down the list of trustworthy brands that do care about the us investors of their brands
Love Saalt, glad he decided to restock those Oat hoodies just in time for fall.
Nice to see you are doing so well. Remember meeting you in Selfridges in London a few years back! 👊
Putting Ralph Lauren to trash in the thumbnail is criminal
Good plot twist, tho
Would have been quite helpful if you mentioned the fabric and build quality of the brands in this lists so we could sort of personalize it based on our style preference.
But, a really helpful video nonetheless 💪🏽
Good call. I wish there was more awareness of fabric and details in mainstream fashion
he probably doesent even know the fabrics, he ranks based on what he hears and sees from others, dont expect to find any unique opinions and takes here
While Issey Miyake does have some exclusive items for the domestic Japanese market, most of their accessible clothing are just polyester synthetic fabrics made in the Philippines. By this standard, COMME des GARÇONS offer much more diverse lines, available to wider demographics, and often made with better craftsmanship.
Hollister should be in would buy section for tall people because as tall person their clothes fits me very well. Hollister has a lot of comfortable graphic hoodies, I love the hoodies. In the past they had a lot of unique caps that I get compliments on.
putting abercrombie & fitch above RL is wild 💀 ridiculous ahh list
people really be glazing RL too much these recent years because of tik tok, and they can't even tell the difference between Polo RL and RL
It’s his opinion. Do your own video and glaze tf out of RL
lol I hate Ralph Lauren and love A&F, it’s just what you vibe with innit
Yeah, can't see Zara being above RL and GAP either. Zara clothes fall apart as soon as it hits the washer. Even they don't even recommend laundering their own clothes.
did u listen to the video??? lol
Uniqlo gang💪🏻
I can’t think of any other brand beating Uniqlo in terms of fabric quality and durability at the same price point
I highly disagree with Abercrombie. Honestly, I’d put it at “Would buy” at most. Don’t get me wrong, I really like and own a lot of their stuff, like their jeans and shorts. But overall, their clothes tend to be way lower quality that what you’re paying for and their sizing is completely unreliable a lot of times, specially when it comes to shirts (most of the time they run super long).
Nice little trip that was, the Marni store had us both tempted. But bro was low key ready to buy some swimming shorts from Primark don't forget loool. Would be sick to see an "up and coming / smaller brands" version of this video too man
Honestly, watching the disrespect of Ralph Lauren on here made me stop watching and possibly rethinking of ever watching these videos again from this fashion TH-camr
The only right answer is to put Ralph Lauren in the goat category
I loved the premise and the idea of this video but honestly the reasoning for the placements really threw me and seems like a lot of the viewers off. Some of it was based on personal aesthtic. Some of it was based on quality of their items in general. Some of it was because of historic allure. Super confusing tbh
Represent and Cole Buxton, straight in the toilet. Owners club… I mean come on, makes me think the type of person wearing it says “I know the owner”
Represent 🤮
Hate those brands
Yeah i own a few of them farm equipments 👴🏻
Tim, you took the words out of my mouth about Urban Outfitters!! Exact same feeling towards it!
Could you do a budget version of these? I'd appreciate it as someone getting into fashion, but can't justify the price tag of hire end brands yet. Thanks!
Love me a good tier list. Definitely do more videos in this format.
Muji Labo mec, minimalistic, yet edgy. Definitely at least a tier above classic Muji clothes.
Loved the list, didnt agree with RL, personally think Kenzo is way better than their reputation, but enjoyed your reasoning and general insights. Strong agree FOG Essentials is much better than people think, too. Missed Yohji / Y3, Balenciaga, and Burberry especially. Where would you put those?
This video was great! One thing I struggle with is knowing where to shop for shapes and textures I’m looking for and this named a bunch of brands I can look into. Thanks!
Sandro in mid is a crime
just got a pair of baggy jeans from gap and easily one of the best in my wardrobe the way they fall is so perfect and they feel good
NOOOO RALPH LAUREN IS PEAK HOW CAN YOU SAY THIS!!!???
Dear Tim, it's amazing video to express your personal opinion, no matter someone is agree with you or not. It's a very educational video for everyone.
I disagree regarding Calvin Klein. It has pretty good stuff. Waaaaaaaay better, than ZARA
Great video , I would probably take a deeper dive and do another video. Split the brands up by Category such as Fast Fashion, street , tailored and high fashion luxury. Then rank them worst to 1st , bases on your opinion. Thanks !
Being robbed while on vacation or traveling is painful enough, being robbed with an authentic bag is even worse, I agree with your point about buying fakes from kislux for personal safety reasons
Maybe I haven’t seen it, but maybe a series of brands for each type of clothes would be amazing. For shirts, pants, etc, maybe not to deep but it could help those like me who pretty much know less than nothing
Kith has great clothes but super overpriced. YES! I love that u recognize A&F as a standout brand. That’s been the brand of the year for me. Constantly buying pieces from them. Became VIP first day 😂 and Uniqlo is my first real love but they’ve taken a backseat to A&F 🥲
Saalt Studio is so sick, Tim thanks for putting me on to them. i was lucky enough to get the pre orders for the oat hoodies, sadly missed the Crochet Hoodie drop but definitely got in on the latest drop and picked up the Charcoal Ornate Work Pants, and both Cardigans. Checking the delivery updates 5 times a day. cant wait till they arrive. Would have liked to buy all the colour ways of the jeans too but since there such a staple peice i couldnt justify buying all 3. but if i was a millionaire you bet your arse i would of.
Are h&m sweatpants good? (It’s so cheap and gonna use it for gym) thoughts?
Keep up with these videos bro. You made me style up. Thumbs uppers
I actually agree with the Issey at goat pick. I think uniqlo deserves goat too. If we are measuring by value too uniqlo just has captured a massive audience because they sell high quality basics at such a great value proposition. By far the cheapest brand in the standout group and better than most. Ami at standout was a good pick. Ami Paris quality is criminally underrated. I love their hoodies, the hardware and the weight of the cloth just feels so premium and you can usually get it at a good discount. I think Loewe could easily be standout, I've been seeing it way more recently. AllSaints definitely deserves mid good call. They are just an essentials copy and more expensive. Overall solid picks
Even after the recent rebranding, I’m still deciding on leaving A&F to my high school days (the 90s). Over and over, I’ve tried to give them a chance. Everything just looks better on the hanger than on me.
Whys that is it too long , etc?
Great vid! Would love to see a tattoo tour v2 at some point too!
I know its not on the list but how do you feel about the second Heron Preston drop from H&M?
Urban Outfitters over Fred Perry is crazy. And Aime Leon Dore is just doing what Ralph Lauren has done.
I love this format Tim thank you so much
Would want to see you make a video tier list for clothing brands to buy on a budget
I think alot of people need to realise this is ‘opinion’ based not facts, fashion is individual, some people may say Levi’s is goated for longevity, some people might have Abercombie goated for it’s affordability..
Solid list Tim, I don’t agree with all of it but great video as usual, love. 👏
This list is mid tbh
who are the goats in your opinion?
You just gave me a whole bunch of brands to tap in to. Thanks so much brother!!
don't do it again
Great vid!! Would be great to rate trends this way.
I don’t care about brands or logos
If I like it I wear it and if I don’t then I don’t
Gotta be thinking about fabrics, durability and price tag though
Tim is the bright light in my world
quick questions: can you share the link or brand for your glasses?
Zara in "would buy" is something huh. They're overpriced, subpar quality, and inconsistent.
been obsessed with issey miyake the past few years.. lowkey what got me into fashion
Fred Perry is an absolute iconic brand. Strong disagree
Issey miyake goat category? That's a brand that makes nearly all of its clothes from 100% polyester. It would be same if you strap bunch of plastic water bottles with plastic bags around your body. If you can't understand what type of fabric is good then you don't know anything about clothing. It's weird bunch of ignorant people trying to show off their ignorance to people around them.
Lastly some advice for people who can use their mind:
1. Look for the fabric composition only buy natural fabrics like cotton, linen, wool, cashmere, silk etc.
2. Don't pay overinflated prices because of brands.
T-Shir you find with 100$ price tag probably produced for 7 or 8$(max) in China or Bangladesh.
This guy is an industry plant. Nobody finna buy a 2000$ hoodie or clothing item
What about outdoor brands like North Face, Arcteryx, Patagonia, etc?
nah bro i know this is subjective but the miniature clickbait and putting zara over PLR deserves a dislike and i never dislike videos smh
Hey! Great Vid. What's your glasses? Best
You should check out some Dutch brands. A lot of cool new brands popping up the last couple of years, especially in Amsterdam:
New Optimist / POP trading company / New Amsterdam Surf Association / The New Originals / Daily Paper / Bram's Fruit
I would like your unfiltered opinion of Reiss. You were holding back there.
Bro how do you have a clothing tier list and not have Nike??
Gap quality is on par with A&F in my experience. I swear by their socks and lightweight jackets. Just never pay full price.
Disagree with calvin klein. Their quality of fabric is the softest and most comfortible on the market or atleast up there. If you havent tried them you should sometime. The 90s minimalist style that returned now has a lot to do with calvin bringing it forward back then in the first place. I think if you like minimalist styles you cannot ignore the og themselves. CK made minimalism what it was back in the 90s.
Thats very helpful . I agree on 90% of your ranking , but i think you needed one more category between would buy and standout
