How Doritos Were Made from Disneyland Trash

- When Disneyland opened its doors, the founder wanted to create an unforgettable experience. He wanted it to feel like the American Dream. Bursting with energy, optimism, and innovation.
Little did he know, it would be part of the legacy behind one of America's most beloved snacks. Before skyrocketing to over $1 billion in sales, it was considered garbage and tossed away in Disneyland's trash.

I worked for a summer at Frito-Lay in HS as a helper stocking shelves with their product. All the outdated product that was pulled from the shelves would go into these huge bins and once a week a pig farmer would drive up and attach the bin to his truck and haul it away to feed his pigs…his pigs lived on a diet of Frito-Lay products.
He also probably kept a few bags for himself. Lucky guy!
Good to know it's not wasted.

The pigs must taste awesome
They do that with the expired, pre-made Krispy Kreme donuts and treats. @@ricksanchez1355 he met the original owner while operating one of his carts, that doesn't mean that one cart was his entire business. Sounds like he had more going on than just a single cart.
your math is probably accurate, but the rest of your statement is skewed. It's more like he paid 2k for a hot dog vendor cart, which isn't unreasonable even for today. It's not like he bought Ford motors for 2k. Just saying if your going to make an equivalency, keep the entirety in perspective.
