"Do you want to be 40 years old and realize you spent the entirety of your life doing something you don't really never cared about?" That's my life now. Yesterday I was 22. Today I'm 40. My passions were all buried because of bills to pay, took a job that was never supposed to be a 'career', but here I am decades later because life happened. Parents get sick, relatives die, but bills keep coming, so I kept working... No more. I am not going to wake up at 45 and regret another 5 years of my life. I'd rather eat ramen noodles and bologna to at least take a shot enjoying life now, instead of working in a job/career I absolutely LOATHE and never want to think about again.
Michael Cole you just inspired me, I am 28 and feeling I lost 9 years of my life doing something I hate because the money is good... I am soon going to quit and follow my passion
I stumbled upon this interview while looking for "how to" videos for tshirt making. Took a gamble and watched it and glad I did. This interview was veeeeery good. Felt it in my bones.

I've been going 14 years and had to stop for a second because nothing is working anymore, videos like this are always nice because as they say, inspiration comes from many different places.
I am 43. I can not even tell you the number of things I have worked on, repaired, built. From cars to wood, to vinyl, to electronics and computers. About 6 years ago my business took a shit and I was homeless for a year. The last 4 or 5 years have taken a toll on me. I have wanted to do nothing. I found this video and you inspired me to get off my ass and get back out there.
The cinematography and choices they made for coverage they used in this is really excellent. A great lesson in how to produce engaging, beautifually shot content. Well done.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
And the products are sick right??I have Stussy,Grizzly,Carhartt,HUF,Thrasher and many others and from all of those this one Zip Hoodie from The hundreds still one of my favorites plus the collab with Death Row,which is insane.

The fact this episode is 4 years to date is insane. Complex, the new 'Blueprint' series is good but the 'OG' series were and still are full of greatness. I respect and truly admire every single thing you all do as a company, thank you.
This was powerful. Just got some Hundreds gear since going to Rosewood in ‘08. Great to see they’ve been around 20 years. Nostalgic and still cool. The Hundreds is legacy now.

This is super rad dudes! I'm starting a streetwear brand myself (its my 4rth label) so I know a lot about these struggles. But it's really inspiring to see how people persevere and remain passionate even in the midst of adversity. The actual documentary is great as well. The production is really fresh! Mad love to the Complex crew!
As a small business owner this is incredible and so transparent with the reality of what it takes to keep your head above ground from week to week! Good on you man! Props to what you've built and what you'll continue to build!
Bobby was my inspiration to start my Brand....its not off the ground just yet...and as I'm sitting here typing this comment, I'm wearing the black "HUGE 1980" pocket tee...people come into my local skate shop "Clockwork" in my hometown Macon, Georgia and ask me every time "do y'all have anymore Hundreds shirts with the atom bomb on it?" And that amazes me because to me the Atom Bomb is a staple in the fashion world...my love for the Hundreds will never die...and I'm so inspired it...its HUGE
That's probably the best blueprint episode I've ever seen. But I learned a lot from it. one thing you need to know about art is that it never gets out dated it just needs to be repainted.
Love how his motive was not to sell shirts and he actually cared about something awesome but still (out of wisdom) aligned himself with someone who was willing to hit the ground running with the sales part. #balance ...I really want a hundreds shirt now too lol
I’m so happy I found this video I’m literally going through the same thing, and when he started talking about getting a job to fund the hobby by going to law school, i literally got goosebumps. Because I’m first year biology in Ontario and I had a lot of opportunities for me but after reflection of a year and realizing I will never be happy doing this I’m applying to a graphic design course and taking art classes and reading books about art and indulging my self into this life style and it has never been more liberating.
This video gave me goosebumps and it made stop and think about my life for a second because it's true, you really should be doing what you love regardless of what the world says. I remember when I was in HS The Hundreds was a thing even though the brand wasn't popular in the HS I was in, some people would wear it but regardless of the fact, I used to see this shit all over social media, specially Tumblr. Even though I only owned one shirt from them because I was poor I loved loved LOVED The Hundreds but also, I'm not from the US so at that time I really wasn't up to date nor cared about what was hip and what was not, fashion, clothes, etc. I feel like if I was up to date I would've had a lot more clothes from the brand. I graduated HS, hell graduated College and it's like, this is just not for me anymore, I changed and so did the way I dress. I will still eventually buy The Hundreds, though, I only have one shirt from them that I bought in September of 2012, it is now 2017 and I still have that shirt I still wear it and it still looks great because of course the quality is great. Needless to say, I think the brand is very original and different from the rest of the "street wear" brands. I'm into art a little and this really is art not a clothing brand but art, I always said this and me now knowing that this is what Bobby thinks of it as well makes me respect it even more. The art for it is amazing, the dopest designs I've seen always came from The Hundreds, not Stussy, not TI$A not Obey not Diamond Supply, but The Hundreds. This video was very inspirational to watch, the most I've seen in years. Not sure why The Hundreds is not a trending topic like Palace and Supreme and I'm not sure if they're still a thing or not since I haven't heard from them in years and I don't keep up with things, but I whole heartedly hope this brand becomes the talk of the town everywhere again and I hope it remains in the business forever.
Excellent episode... thanks for this. I remember my first Adam Bomb t, got it around 2008... and was stolen by the pool when I was in Bali... damnnn... hats off the hundreds...
Came to watch 1-2mins and ended up watching the whole vid. Loved the interview and learning about The Hundreds. What a real guy. Keep up the passion! Very inspiring story.
No words..Amazing & inspirational video for those who have the dream of leaving their mark (brand) in this world.Great video complex and props the OG Bobby. For me the Death Row x The Hundreds the sickest collaboration yet.Copped 2 Tees of that classic mashup
His story resonates with me and I'm sure a lot of others. Doubting the possibility of a career with your art and turning it into a hobby. Glad his dreams come true.
I'm 32 years old & just decided to start a brand with a friend of mine. I remember being in High School talking about doing something together but other shit just got in the way. Too busy wasting money on other things. I even tried doing my own line in College Broke as Fuck I printed out a few shirts & crewnecks that soldout the 1st day. Everyone loved the brand but I never trademarked it or anything so I stopped and Slacked. (til this day I have people asking me about it) But yeah almost 2 years ago I became a father & that's when everything changed for me. I couldn't stand the thought of not following my dream and KHRUMS was created. The Hype isn't as big as my old brand but this time I feel much more ready & confident & IDC how well it does, I'm just glad I decided to go for it.
Extremely inspirational!!! Here I am doing my day job, delivering furniture, envisioning exactly what to do next, specially being a new father this year, it's not for me anymore, it's for my child. Thank you guys for the inspiration!
Always really respected this guy even though I know he got a lot of heat after the brand kind of went south. Hundreds will always have a special place in my heart because it was at it's peak when I was just getting into streetwear.

I love 💣The Hundreds because when my favorite collared shirt was sold out, I reached out to the guys & they actually managed to make me one more! 👍 Thank you guys so much!
damn, it must suck to have your parents not believe in you. good thing he used that fuel for "you can't do it" and turned it around to a "gotta prove em wrong"
Parents just want to make sure their kids are able to take care of themselves after their gone. Starting a venture is a risk there's no guarantee of success so naturally the parents would want their kids to pursue careers that's a sure thing that will yield job security and good pay + In South Korea entrepreneurship isn't popular, every business is run by giant companies that own everything & so people in South Korea are raised with a desire to work for one of these giant companies not compete with them or start something else which would risk you getting crushed by one of these giants.
I remember the time when I emailed The hundreds back in 2009 about advice on how to start and maintain a streetwear brand. That was one of the best moments I remember when I was younger in regards to my creative journey. Bobby and the Hundreds has always been an inspiration. I may not own anything The hundreds besides 2 shirts I bought when I visited the store in melrose back in 2008. I still to this day have those 2 shirts. Bobby you are an OG in my generation.
This is such a good doc. Damn he's an artist. This is the first time I've heard about the Hundreds and I really felt like it's an OG brand. I felt the weight in every word he said. Doc captured the most important things.

I Love my T-Shirt business. It brings out my creative side. Follow inspiration, make a plan, don't listen to people, do what you love.
I have never heard of this brand, but its a great video with a great story, love how he sent his friends into buy the shirts that's gold lol
Quality of their shirts is dogshit they feel like sand paper
It's never too late to do what you love. Behind every success is journey of uncertainty.

I have a Hundreds "Paparazzi" camera backpack. I have nothing but respect for someone that takes a concept and turns it into something this large.

OG in streetwear. If you're in your 20s you got to witness some cool brands come and go including The Hundreds.
The background music goes straight to my heart
damn, it must suck to have your parents not believe in you.
good thing he used that fuel for "you can't do it" and turned it around to a "gotta prove em wrong"
Uncle Bernard lol any Asian kid who doesn't wanna do engineering, med school, or law knows what it's like.
yup yup yup
Parents just want to make sure their kids are able to take care of themselves after their gone. Starting a venture is a risk there's no guarantee of success so naturally the parents would want their kids to pursue careers that's a sure thing that will yield job security and good pay + In South Korea entrepreneurship isn't popular, every business is run by giant companies that own everything & so people in South Korea are raised with a desire to work for one of these giant companies not compete with them or start something else which would risk you getting crushed by one of these giants.
I would of bought a house right beside them to flex after I made it.
His parents did believe in him but just in a complete different future
I remember the time when I emailed The hundreds back in 2009 about advice on how to start and maintain a streetwear brand. That was one of the best moments I remember when I was younger in regards to my creative journey. Bobby and the Hundreds has always been an inspiration. I may not own anything The hundreds besides 2 shirts I bought when I visited the store in melrose back in 2008. I still to this day have those 2 shirts. Bobby you are an OG in my generation.
I never heard of this brand at 33 I really enjoy this story I will be getting a shirt or 2
I'm starting my own streetwear business over here in Germany. This video was very informative.

This is such a good doc. Damn he's an artist. This is the first time I've heard about the Hundreds and I really felt like it's an OG brand. I felt the weight in every word he said. Doc captured the most important things.
