In my 30's I weighed 365, took me 2 years and I went down to 155 lbs, I maintained it for many years until 2021/22 when Covid hit and I was diagnosed with 22 different medical conditions and I'm in my 50's now. Not working, bored out of my mind, stopped exercising, eating processed food, I weighed myself March 2023, I was at 250 lbs, It's now October 2023, I weighed earlier this week, I'm at 170 lbs, from exercising and eating only vegetables, some fruits, meat, eggs and water. I was able to cure two medical conditions. It is very easy to get into a slump. I tell everyone don't be so hard on yourself, just get back to living a healthier life style. Myra, I love both the keto and low carb recipes you share. I also learned a lot about fasting after you talked about it awhile back ago on one of your podcasts, so I have started fasting for about a month now, does wonders! Prepping did help me in the beginning and I do prep a lot of my vegetables in containers. At my age, 54, I'm not looking to be skinny minny, I just want to feel healthy and feel good. Keep your podcast going, it has helped a lot of viewers!

Have you thought of hormonal changes for women over 35+. Balancing Hormones play a huge role in weigh loss. Less is more... on workouts and more protein. I do moderate carbs and low fat. I learned the hard way that extreme workouts hurt your body more so I do low impact and short workout. My priority is to keep my hormones balanced as much as I can now that I'm 40.
I lost 30 pounds doing intermittent fasting. I have maintained that loss for about 18 months now. I try to fast a minimum of 18 hours. If I go 20 hours or more then I follow OMAD because it’s hard to throw in more than one meal in 4 hours. I drink black coffee only. I eat what I want. I do not follow a low carb or low calorie diet. My doctor was also very pleased with my blood work.

I would like to lose 15 lbs, and then re-assess to see if i want to lose 10 more. I started at 214 lbs in November 2022. I fell off track for a few months once I hit my goal weight of 175 in July 2022. I gained back up to about 185, but went back to around 175, due to being sick and grief. I just started keto back six days ago. I already feel my energy is so much better. I have chronic illness, and that is what keeps me on track more than losing weight tbh. Love this video so much!! The scale is our friend not our enemy. Regularly weighing can keep you from gaining large amounts of weight. Because you will catch that 5 lb gain and get on it immediately! 20-30 lbs is harder to lose, especially as you get older.

I just started swimming everyday in the community pool. I live in Florida, so it’s still warm. I wear big fins and the resistance of the water on my legs give them a great workout. I also feel it in my stomach. I go to the deeper part of the pool and do different movements and work my arms like I am cross country skiing and I do laps with breaststroke and flip over on my back for a while. I continually move, doing some kind of movement without stopping for an hour. I feel toned pretty quickly and it’s a good cardio workout. Right now, with the holidays coming, it’s a hard time for me not to eat sweets. Last Christmas I went a little crazy and it took a few months to get rid of the cravings. That weight can sneak back on you before you know it. LOL

I would like a meal plan. I can totally agree with the coffee bc a white chocolate mocha was my liquid crack. When I went keto I was appalled at the sugar content. I actually downloaded an app carb manager it really is user friendly and keeps me accountable on what I am eating because it's so easy to over eat.
As most of us women feel about showing the scale to anyone, I really appreciate you being so open with us. IF has such a big impact on my weight loss. I tried 24hr IF and it was no problem. But then when it was time to eat, I think I was so excited I ate more than I should have. I need to regain my discipline. Hard boiled eggs is my go to along with your recipe of bagels. I made a bunch and froze them. Your channel has been extremely helpful on this journey though so thank you!!
Hi Mayra, did you weigh yourself in the morning after you had gone #2? you're supposed to weigh yourself in the morning before breakfast, after #2, and without clothes that will give you your true weight. That sweater that you have on it's like 2 lbs. Just FYI I always get a different reading when I weigh my self before and going #2 in the morning and with or without cloths.

The scale goes up and down by like 8 lbs!😕this Will really help! One thing I do to keep flavor into my coffee but keep sugar low is I put 1/2 of my protein shake mix into my coffee as a creamer substitute so I get the protein and flavor with out sugar! Just a thought and they are always coming out with holiday flavors but I love adding Carmel to my coffee!

I love this video!! I got away from low carb and fasting and gained 25lbs the last year and a half. So frustrating and I’ve felt just awful. I had labs done and got the results thanksgiving day. What a wake up call. Immediately went lower carb and cut out all sugar and inflammatory foods. Also started IF slowly again. I’ve lost 7lbs since then. Feeling so much better and I’m so committed. I am doing a little more good carbs this time and making sure I’m getting enough calories. Can’t wait to see more of your journey!! ❤

First, thank you for making me feel human! I have lost 100lbs over the last 2 years however, I went low carb a year ago and lost 70 of the 100 and it’s has been life changing. In August, my birthday, for the first time I cheated and sort of “fell off” for a few days. It honestly made me feel guilty and I did gain a few lbs. and just recently got the courage to step on the scale. since then I have had a very hard time getting back into the “fat burning” state or ketosis. I have lost a couple lbs but it’s just so slow. I would love a meal plan. And like you said I just want to feel good and get back on it because the diet itself just keeps me feeling good and healthy. Ok, first, where are you hiding 190lbs?!!! No way, that scale LIED TO YOU!!!! For real, I needed this! I have been so good with my Keto for over a year and this past Sunday I had 12 DONUTS! Yes!!! 12 Krispy Kreame glazed donuts oh and Califi Almond Eggnog in my coffee smoothies. I love eggnog but dang 9 grams of carbs?!! I have such a weekness for pastries and eggnog. Smh . I am getting back on track but I refuse to get on the scale at least for now lol. I see my dr next week soooo I will have no choice but to get on a scale. 😬

I too had lost 90 pounds and have been keeping it off up until 2020 but have gained back 30 pounds in the past 3 years ever since I hit menopause. I went from 108 pounds to 141, and only 5.3. I went from size 2 to a 4, and now my size 4 are tight. I'm 51 years old so my hormones are changing and I feel like it's harder. I'm going to definitely go back into intermittent fasting as well. I would like a meal plan. I can totally agree with the coffee bc a white chocolate mocha was my liquid crack. When I went keto I was appalled at the sugar content. I actually downloaded an app carb manager it really is user friendly and keeps me accountable on what I am eating because it's so easy to over eat.

As most of us women feel about showing the scale to anyone, I really appreciate you being so open with us. IF has such a big impact on my weight loss. I tried 24hr IF and it was no problem. But then when it was time to eat, I think I was so excited I ate more than I should have. I need to regain my discipline. Hard boiled eggs is my go to along with your recipe of bagels. I made a bunch and froze them. Your channel has been extremely helpful on this journey though so thank you!!

Hi Mayra, did you weigh yourself in the morning after you had gone #2? you're supposed to weigh yourself in the morning before breakfast, after #2, and without clothes that will give you your true weight. That sweater that you have on it's like 2 lbs. Just FYI I always get a different reading when I weigh my self before and going #2 in the morning and with or without cloths.

One thing I do to keep flavor into my coffee but keep sugar low is I put 1/2 of my protein shake mix into my coffee as a creamer substitute so I get the protein and flavor with out sugar! Just a thought and they are always coming out with holiday flavors but I love adding Carmel to my coffee!

I love this video!! I got away from low carb and fasting and gained 25lbs the last year and a half. So frustrating and I’ve felt just awful. I had labs done and got the results thanksgiving day. What a wake up call. Immediately went lower carb and cut out all sugar and inflammatory foods. Also started IF slowly again. I’ve lost 7lbs since then. Feeling so much better and I’m so committed. I am doing a little more good carbs this time and making sure I’m getting enough calories. Can’t wait to see more of your journey!! ❤

First, thank you for making me feel human! I have lost 100lbs over the last 2 years however, I went low carb a year ago and lost 70 of the 100 and it’s has been life changing. In August, my birthday, for the first time I cheated and sort of “fell off” for a few days. It honestly made me feel guilty and I did gain a few lbs. and just recently got the courage to step on the scale. since then I have had a very hard time getting back into the “fat burning” state or ketosis. I have lost a couple lbs but it’s just so slow. I would love a meal plan. And like you said I just want to feel good and get back on it because the diet itself just keeps me feeling good and healthy. Your channel “Low Carb Love” was one of the first channels I found when I started low carb and I have used a lot of your recipes ❤️. You look amazing by the way. You are an inspiration

Ok, first, where are you hiding 190lbs?!!! No way, that scale LIED TO YOU!!!! For real, I needed this! I have been so good with my Keto for over a year and this past Sunday I had 12 DONUTS! Yes!!! 12 Krispy Kreame glazed donuts oh and Califi Almond Eggnog in my coffee smoothies. I love eggnog but dang 9 grams of carbs?!! I have such a weekness for pastries and eggnog. Smh . I am getting back on track but I refuse to get on the scale at least for now lol. I see my dr next week soooo I will have no choice but to get on a scale. 😬

Oh wow hun,I'm so happy to here you are doing a video like this. I too had lost 90 pounds and have been keeping it off up until 2020 but have gained back 30 pounds in the past 3 years ever since I hit menopause. I went from 108 pounds to 141, and only 5.3. I went from size 2 to a 4, and now my size 4 are tight. I'm 51 years old so my hormones are changing and I feel like it's harder. I'm going to definitely go back into intermittent fasting as well.
