I was 25 when I married my husband who was 57. We had 30 wonderful years together. The last four years together my husband had Alzheimer’s. I had people taking care of him while I worked and I took care of him at night. I wouldn’t change it for the world. He was the love of my life! I was an old soul and he was a young soul so it worked out great. Age is just a number. I lost him December 7, 2023. Now my whole life is shattered!

The most remarkable man I ever met was 99 when I met him. We talked for hours - his personal history, which he could remember completely and in detail, went back to 1920 (born in 1915). I was 62 when I met him and he asked me to move in to take care of him - he was going blind but still most definitely had his wits about him. He lived another 3 years and I have no regrets - it was an amazing experience. Love doesn't know age. (When people would question who *I* was, his immediate quip was always 'she's my Mom!' The looks we'd get... )

I felt the same as the age gap wasn’t an issue to me but it was on my mind because of the outside world, their perception and people’s judgemental reactions that made me feel like I had to reconsider this amazing man . We we’re also friends first, for almost a year before I allowed things to be intimate. Money was also never a part our friendship/dating life. It’s been 4 years that we’re together and when I meet new people, they don’t know anything about us other than the age gap but still feel the need to put in their two cents like they’re saving me from something. My aunt was neary 20 years older than my blood uncle. She was widowed with two grown twins close to my uncle's age. He had never been married. They met when he was in the Army Air Corp. And she was a secretary. He was bald and looked older than his age. When they got married my grandmother flipped out. They had a child and was married for over 50 years. He was a good man and treated her like a queen, and she was the kindest and most loving person anyone could ever know. She passed away 14 years ago and I miss her loving spirit, and now 10 yrs ago my uncle joined her in heaven. Love doesn't have an age. ❤

Thank you for giving me hope, not al younger guys are ok with the age gap sadly, I am casually seeing one and he says I am a catch and treats me great and all but wont date me long term cause of our age gap, I am not pushing it. I am walking away kindly and opening up my heart to others that won't mind the gap.
Maybe the problem is that you specifically only want to date someone younger. It should be about the heart, why exclude someone just because they are closer to your age. It usually does not work out in the long run when the woman is much older because women generally age more rapidly at a certain point. At some point you lose your sexiness and the guy is still young enough to attract a sexy woman.

What a great story! This gives me hope that I may still yet find someone. Been divorced for 20 years, raised my kids by myself, they're all grown now. So, I'm at that point to where I'm thinking of maybe trying again. Problem is, a lot of women in my age group (I'm 46) have a lot of baggage and a little too much man hate.
