And eventually you realize the girl named Lucky is about Britney Spears trapped in a life that from the outside looks glamorous but obviously behind closed doors she a prisoner to a contract and her dad which makes her cry. Now you get it it?

Vocal fry done the right way does not hurt the vocal cords, nor is it bad for the voice. IF done the right way, correct vocal fry actually helps warming up the voice for singing(been singing for 9 years). It should never feel painful however, that's a telltale sign it's being done wrong.
