Sgùrr Dearg and the In Pinn: My Penultimate Munro

I didn’t take my GoPro with me as I wanted to concentrate on the scrambling and climbing involved. Most of the video is photos.
I’d booked a guide to climb Sgùrr Dearg and the In Pinn hoping for good weather. The weather surpassed all expectations but the heat made the ascent exhausting. After my initial nerves about the climb, I started to really enjoy it and had a fantastic day.
Memories will live long especially the few minutes of quiet time I had at the first belay point while John my guide headed further up the pinnacle with the rope. I could hear the sheep bleating further down the mountain and shouts from other climbers and guides. The views were outstanding.
My penultimate Munro was in the bag! Back at the campsite I had a dip in the sea followed by a nice meal and wine al fresco with my son Lewis and Brora.

Lovely video. Very well done on climbing the In Pinn. I have not been on Skye, so all the Cuillin still to do. Great weather, maybe too hot but at least the rock was dry. Again, lovely video and very well done.

Inn Pinn your second to last munro. My friend Graham this was his second Munro, what an introduction we gave him to Scotland starting in the Cuillins. Enjoy CMD and a dram on 282, may as well do the Ben while you are handily placed.

Well done Linda, I climbed it a few years ago, I have climbed 74 Munro's, long way behind you but I have been climbing the hardest first as its a long way for me to travel from Yorkshire, My plan is to climb them all eventually ! Respect !

Another beautiful video Linda, well done. Your past few videos have enjoyed the best of Scottish weather, it is like someone is rewarding you for al your hard work and effort. I have 1 question for you. Please forgive me if someone has already asked this you this, and you have answered. I don’t always read comments. Why have you chosen to finish your expedition on Carn mor Dearg? I am just curious. It has always been a favourite of mine, especially when finishing with Ben Nevis. Thanks Kenneth. I chose Beinn Sgritheall to finish on a while ago but was talked out of that one due to it being so far away & steep! Ended up having a great solo trip there. I didn’t have that many left so Carn Mor Dearg it was! The Ben was far too busy to choose as my final one! 👍
