Christian, I found your channel by happenstance, or algorithm, I suppose. I have watched several of your videos. I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I have enjoyed them. Your meanderings to all points west bring me fond memories of my father, who lived his dream of an occupation in professional photography. He worked for a large international chemical company, and was able to travel the world, and especially to photograph nature, his first love. He loved the mountain west, and especially Yosemite. He was also a student of Ansel Adams. His were the days of film photography and black and white, and he was so excited about the possbilities of digital, and video. You are very talented, and he would have loved to view the world through your eyes, as you have shared with the world here. I wish I could show him your channel. This video of Yosemite, especially, he would have likely been moved to tears, as I was. You bring a breath of fresh air to a media landscape full of people doing things to call attention to themselves, in quite tacky ways. While your videos are about you and your life, you bring a sense of truth and honesty to your work that is quite authentic, and not about you, but through you. It would be easy to spot if you were faking that. My dad died in 2005, but I see him in your images, and your perspective. My father worked for the California State Park System for over 40 years. As kids we grew up in State Park Housing in Big Trees State Park and Big Basin State Park. I understand the importance of maintaining these state and federal lands so that our children and grand children can enjoy them. Big Basin is a prime example. The house i grew up in and the park i rode my bike in is now gone and destroyed by fire. Thank goodness I had the chance to take my son backpacking there the year before the fire. But so many young people have no idea of the beauty that's out there. We have to maintain the ability to film and explore so that more people can grow to appreciate our public lands.

I haven't been to Yosemite since 1983 because I've been living in other parts of the country. Your lovely photography brings back so many memories of my teens and twenties. Thank you.
Amazing footage, the sense of scale and calmness of the mountains is incredible... absolutly worth enduring the cold to get the shots. In awe from the UK.
Regarding the fuse on the Rad Battery: I found that sometimes they get blown if you plug the charger into the power supply before plugging the cord into the battery. So, the solution is to plug the cord into the battery first, then plug charger into the power supply. I found a particularly small set of needle nose pliers from Home Depot will pull the fuse easily. Finally - the cinematography in your videos is THE BEST!

So pretty and moody, as always. I’ve shown my husband your videos so he can try to capture some clouds/sunsets for me when he’s out fishing backcountry rivers … you’re an inspiration! Also - we now carry a bag of every-sized fuses for just such an occasion after we blew the fuse on the water pump! Lifesavers

Tech tip! When I work on any, gizmo, I place it on a terry cloth towel. This keeps small screws, springs etc. from running away from you. Hope this is helpful to all.
