I just realized, why you produce these videos (Quality from another planet). Your videos are the reason, why people are not driving up there, because you captured it in a way, the regular amateur filmmaker will not be able to do. So we don't have to go up there, because we lived side by side with you going through your adventures. So the carbon footprint is minute. Which is a good thing. With this episode marking the end of your Arctic journey, it was like watch a good series come to an end on one of the prime movie channels and it leaves us stranded, but with the good memories of being there, thanks to you.
What was even more amazing than the scenery was the woman in Juneau, who asked what you're doing, spent her entire adult life hoping to one day meet a Chad...& finally did.
An inspired and fitting ending to an outstanding journey. Filming, editing, accompanying music and sounds all contributed to creating a documentary series for all the senses. If there were TH-cam Oscars this Alaskan odyssey would be a clear winner.
Chad, at the beginning of the whole Return To The Arctic series, to be honest, I didn't know what you were going to do to beat the amazing experience that your last adventure to the Arctic gave me. But I have to say: you did it!! Each episode was a masterpiece again! You said that the realization that this wonderful journey was over put you in a bit of a melancholy mood, but the truth is that it put me in a similar mood too. But what is certain is that I will rewatch these episodes many many times! Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey through beautiful landscapes through your videos, which was full of exciting and interesting experiences and information for everyone who watched the episodes! I'm excited for all the videos coming out this year on your channel!
That’s so very awesome. I really appreciate your words. That was one reason for going back to the arctic. I knew there was more story to be told. I’m glad I did. Because it was an epic experience. Thanks for following along
I will never ever be able to see Alaska at all! So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! I loved being with you on this adventure. I live in Florida, so thank you again Chad!
In the 1970's/1980's alot of people pitched their tends on the deck of the ferry. When I took the ferry in 2010 to celebrate my college graduation I was one of only a few people pitching my tent on the deck of the ferry and I got some wierd looks. Rooms on the Ferry cost over $100 a night back then I hate to think what they cost now and as a young person without alot of money camping most nights was the only way I could travel. I'm so glad I took that trip, I saw so many amazing things and really enjoyed the ferry ride, Juneau was my favorite town there was so much to do. Even though alot of people assumed I was a homeless person, one person even tried to give me food and I had to explain that I was on vacation and I had to carry a 40 lb pack several miles from the ferry terminal to town it was still a wonderful experience. Its sad how much harder its gotten to travel cheaply and many young people can't afford to travel. Even though I made 90k last year and can afford more hotels now I still spend most nights in my camper Van I guess when you can't afford hotels for so long not staying in hotels becomes a habit and I don't want to support businesses that price out young people.
I love watching this series, even better than last year. I work at REI in Bend and my friend Peter met you. I was so bummed I missed you. Hope to see you in there soon.
We stopped in Ketchikan and Juneau during tourist season. We were indeed on a cruise ship. We have great memories from a beer with the locals in the "Totem" bar in Ketchikan. The "Alaskan" bar in Juneau was a great experience too. Great authentic vintage bar. We convinced the only bartender there that afternoon to go up on stage. She played guitar and sang a song for us. She was awesome. We loved our stops in those two cities.
Thanks so much Chad for a wonderful trip, it is sad to see the end,all the wonderful places and wild weather, looking forward to some more van life one day 💙❄️🤩💙👍🙏
The Glacier, what a beautiful sight!! The people standing there looked so tiny 😮 Nice footage Chad and happy you took a different route on the way back!! Thanks, stay safe 🙌👋🤩
I've been a resident of British Columbia for over 20 years and I'm still captivated by the rugged beauty of the North-West. There's nothing on Earth that reveals the majestic desolation and peacefulness you get from the combination of water, mountains, and forests. Thanks for taking me along on this ride. I'm saddened to see it end.
Your videos are awesome! Great production! I've been watching for years! Cheers from Kamloops British Columbia Canada! I love the music and heart that go into your videos. Cheers, American Brother!
I've enjoyed this series big time. Thank You very much. Through this series, I was able to see a part of this world I may never get to see, but was able to experience the sights through these videos.
Thank you for sharing your epic adventure. Fifty years ago i took a cruise up the Inside Passage. It was hands down my favorite vacation ever. I look forward to your next adventure.
This is the best series I've ever watched on TH-cam. The scenery, music, and storytelling were outstanding. Time and time again I replayed parts of the videos for my wife and kids to see. I'm in awe of your ability to pull off this trip. Thank you for bringing us viewers along for an amazing adventure.
What a great trip and experience. Wow! Thank you so much for this series 🙏 My plan is to come over and make the Pan Americana. My wife and I are at the beginning of this project but we want to do this. It was much inspiration for me what helps me a lot 😊 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
One of my favorite place on earth is Icy Straight Point in Alaska. As always you captured the awesome beauty of Alaska. Thank you for bringing us with you in your adventure.
Great video really enjoyed it you always put out some great stuff the places you go fantastic stuff chad keep them coming so entertaining watching you on your adventures till next time be safe 👍
That glacier was just...SURREAL! Looked like something out of Star Trek lol Thanks for another episode of your adventures to the Arctic. Keep on truckin'
Chad, you should seriously call this channel "Livin' The Dream." What an awesome adventure. Excellent work man. Safe travels to you and keep on truckin'!
Excellent series! And what a cool way to return to B’ham, too! So happy you could take an epic journey like this, and I feel blessed to come along for the ride. So cool. Thank you for the awesome content!!!
Chad I really enjoy your work. My wife and I did an Alaskan cruise this past July so this series brought back some good memories. You do a great job of capturing the experience. Loved every minute of it.
It was a pleasure to watch your adventures all the passed months. Something will be missing soon😢 I’m sure you have tons of new plans and I’m exited to wait for new videos. This was one of the best content I’ve seen in terms of van life. Great stories, amazing pictures and so well edited! Really thanks a lot! 🙏 🙏 🙏
Thanks again for lighting up everyone's lives with these breathtaking videos. For those of us whose lives are limited now, for whatever reason, we appreciate it.
Once again thanks for sharing your adventure! The landscapes of the frozen tundra never bore me. Rarely any "private vehicles" make this trip. It's something special and almost none of us will experience it. You shared the journey with us, so we can experience it through you.
Thank you very much for your great work. Love it!! It's very cool to slide through all of your vids but these 7 parts are by far your masterpiece. I really appreciate being part of it in front of my screen. ❤
Chad, thank you for this series. This is some top notch content. Your cinematography, soundtrack, elements, and commentary is just perfection. Your the best at this niche on TH-cam, hands down. I've always wanted to go to Alaska and was on the fence on going this summer. I really do not like flying. Not because I'm scared, but I just prefer the road much more. A round trip from the Bay area to Alaska really seemed like a lot but was really considering it. Little did a know that there's a ferry that goes from Alaska to Bellingham! That really was a game changer for me and didn't know this until watching your video. This knocks off 2k miles! Finding this out, I'm now planning my great Alaskan road trip thanks to you! Thanks my man!
This was nothing less than a spectacular display of your talent Chad..! The filming was incredible and I have never been involved with another video like yours Chad..! Cheers..! What an amazing experience 🙌🏻
Omgosh! I live here in Haines, Alaska! Wish I could of met up with you n tell you I enjoy ur channel! So happy you made it safely to Alaska n back home!
Absolutely loved this series and grateful I found your channel. You’re cinematography is some of the best I’ve seen on TH-cam. Thank you for sharing this beauty. 🤩
Chad, this IS art. Living the art life would be a more appropriate name for your channel. Every minutes of this last episode is a testimony to earth beauty. Thanks for your hard and beautiful work. This is coming from a professional broadcast and music sound engineer, photographer, RV owner and life time traveller from Europe. You absolutely rock !
Wow, what an epic adventure and great round up living the boat life. Have really enjoyed watching this series and look forward to your next venture. Sean from the UK...

Epic series...probably the best on U tube right now. Stunning!
I’m feeling melancholy now too. It’s been a pleasure living vicariously through you and your adventures. All the best, brother!
Probably feeling melancholy because Rose is about to cheat on you with a bum from 3rd class.
Using big words doesn’t make you smart lmao
That artic ocean adventure was awesome..actually...award trophy winning🎉🎉🎉
