Appreciate your honesty here. In a world full of day to day expectations, it is nice to see someone willing to live for the moment. Life is actually simpler than what we make it out to be.
12:57 I have said this many times over. Throughout my life, I felt the loneliest living in Victoria bc, being surrounded by humans. Growing up in a small town in the mountains, I was used to small town life where everyone held the door open for one another and said hello to one another every day. When living in the city, people seemed almost jaded or zombie like in their own world. It was the hardest time for meeting new friends and getting new connections.
It’s kind of wild how that works, isn’t it?? Oftentimes, when I find myself surrounded by people - unless I have quality connections with at least some of them - I just retreat into my own mind. Like, the chaos of all those different energies is too overwhelming for me and I would just prefer to daydream 😂 It’s strange
@ChristianSchaffer yes I get that as well. Almost like you want to be extroverted, but something inside you is closing your walls and keeping you introverted. That's how I feel anyway. I love being around good people and enjoying life, but lately, I feel like that was a different life ago. Due to my experience in the last few years, being introverted seems to be the healthiest for me, and my walls are definitely harder to penitrate. We definitely need good humans in our lives, and I have found those new relationships are formed at the most random times.
Seeing your haworthia plant in the background reminds me to call my mom (she gave me one a few years I haven’t managed to squish).. so thank you for that. Amazing artists inspire folks in all kinds of ways :)
Christian, the best moment of today's Q & A for me, was sharing how you honor the memory of your grandfather when you wear your Converse------A very touching part of your life to share about him and the wonderful photo of him wearing those green Converse is priceless!

Once again a wonderful video, so glad to see you back! You look amazing and love to see your happiness shine! Thank you for taking us who can't travel, taking us along on this ride and beautiful planet 💚🩵💖🙏🏻😀
Great video, thanks for posting this. I'm about to start my own adventure and can relate to a lot of what you said, especially the part about being distracted when you're in a new environment with a lot going on. I knew I wasn't the only one experiencing this but sometimes it feels that way so it was nice to hear you say it! (especially when going out with a big group and everyone's so at ease and focused on the conversation atm).
So good to see you again! Always look forward to hearing your story. I have been traveling solo for 2 years now and can relate totally to what you are saying. Love how you can pick the beauty out of any location you're at. A true artist! Enjoy you and be safe. Happy travels!
Love this so much! The editing style, your authenticity and realness. The cringe of watching our own videos. Hahaha. Also for someone who knows one language, I was impressed. 😂 Also love the answer about legacy, because what does it matter when we are gone?. Live it up now. ✨ Thank you for sharing! You're so inspiring to all us women who want to be wild and free but haven't figured it out quite yet! Just by being yourself. 💖
Part 2 would be great and as one of those who ran into you in Yosemite a couple of years ago...you never disappoint. I never expected to meet you and it was a lovely moment and you were gracious. Love your storytelling focus and fusion of visuals and music is striking. Thanks for all of the work and we'll wait for those when they come. Enjoyed the Q&A and resonate with your response to legacy question...what matters is now and how we create and consume life creations...especially love.
I really enjoyed this video. I love all the beautiful shots and hearing more about where your thoughts are at this time. You do have a good head on your shoulders as far as I can tell.
So glad to have found you! Heading west in my van for an extend, no itinerary trip after the first of the year and your vids have been super helpful. Thanks and keep'em coming.
So good to hear from you again. Your presentations on TH-cam are original and unique. While searching the Web for things that would interest me I have not found anything that comes close to what you do and neither has any of google’s search software. Keep doing what makes you happy and please keep sharing🙂 ☮
LOVE your videos!! They are one of my favorite places to just “rest in” and “be.” You are a hugely talented story teller. Now that I know from this video, that this is all just you and your artistic expression, rather than method and strategy. It blows me away even more! I think you truly don’t realize how gifted you are. That makes it all the more genuine and relatable! Thank you!
It's great to see you feeling good and excited about the future. I've learned a lot from you, and I'm about to start my own van life journey. Your enthusiasm is contagious! Here's wishing you the best!
Seizing on one little statement in the video, "...focus on composition, light and color...", that is when you are at your absolute best!! Sure, it's fun to see you doing crazy-fun things with your friends, but when you are in your focus your artistry blazes!! Those are the videos that captivate me!! Just my two cents!!😊
I love the comments on loneliness again. The loneliest times of my life were when I was in relationships or when I had the most active social life. It's nice being an extrovert that has really learned to love being alone and enjoying single life on the road.
Yay! Love this Q&A! Living vicariously through your van-life experiences. Love it! Also, I completely agree with eating out being overrated. A yummy little homemade creation is where it’s at! Yum! 🤍
Hi Christian, I am excited for part two, but what really caught my eye is how honest you are about your feelings. I love the raw content. now I fully appreciate the fact that you spend a lot of time and effort to come up with a storyline, and you are definitely an amazing videographer and photographer, but in the end, what you do connects to so many people in ways that maybe you can't even imagine. One moment you are my sister, another my friend, and sometimes my wife ( even though I am very happily married). I say that because you bring that sort of connection to your channel. yet I only know what you show us. You are far more skilled at what you do than you give yourself credit for and thank you for all the work you do Thank you for helping me see myself more clearly. Thank you for all the thought provoking ideas you pack into what you do.
You’re like a reflection of myself. I felt like I was listening to myself. I had to snap out of it a couple of times, and had to remind myself that that’s not me I’m looking at! An introvert, like spending time alone most of the time, can’t focus when there’s a background noise, rather be alone than spending time with the “not the right one” and all of the rest! I think there are many more people like me that I think there are. Watching your beautiful shots and camerawork while listening to your voice is a treat. Appreciate you!
Great video and please do a part 2. I have followed you for several years and still get excited when I see a new video from you. Honestly out of the many people I have followed you are the ONLY one I always thoroughly enjoy (and still follow). Thank You for all the effort, work, and care you put into your videos. It is very apparent you love what you do!!!
Good to see you and I truly feel your genuine happiness in this video. I can tell that you’re at peace right now. Sometimes, I will see a lifer driving a van like yours here on Vancouver Island where I live and I wonder if it’s you. You are an inspiration for so many. Once I’m done with my career building off grid log homes (still young; won’t be for awhile), I’m hoping to do what you do. Thank you for being here.😊🙌🏾❤️
I enjoyed this video, thanks. I love your wilderness videos, you do a great job of showing the natural beauty of mountains and forests. Happy travels Christian!❤
Thank you so much for sharing your life and this video. I always feel inspired by watching your videos, and this one is especially more inspiring to me. You are incredible!
Thanks Christian! Can I selfishly admit, that my favourite videos are the videos where you take us along with you on your adventures or even just to make coffee. I know they take so much work. You’re gift for composition and storytelling is remarkable. I don’t watch a lot of TH-cam or social media in general but hang out for your videos. You make me excited about life and some of your nature shots are so beautiful I find myself in tears. Thank you.
What are you even talking about? This is an AMA video...and it's gorgeous! As for legacy, without intentionally seeking for it to be so, authentic storytelling is your brand. Coupled with thoughtful scripting, poised presentation and stunning visuals, your craft continues developing and will be remembered by those whose lives you touch. You are an inspiration...whether you acknowledge or like it.
Well as one of the very best photographic vlogs,i certainly missed your content so welcome back.I a firm believer in quality not quantity so dont feel under any presure,we will just be hapi when u post❤😅
Really enjoyed the questions and answers. You have such a great way of expressing yourself. You have a quick mind; it's fun following along with your thoughts. Ha! I don't like eating out in restaurants either! Having friends over, relaxed atmosphere, good food, less expense, and less interruption that allows for deeper conversations and more laughter. Thank you, Christian, for sharing!

Love your videos! So refreshing and inspiring! All the best to you!❤❤❤
Seeing your haworthia plant in the background reminds me to call my mom (she gave me one a few years I haven’t managed to squish).. so thank you for that. Amazing artists inspire folks in all kinds of ways :)
haha, happy to help! 🤓🪴
Just watched this again! So fun! Can't wait for Part 2! All the best to you!
Christian, the best moment of today's Q & A for me, was sharing how you honor the memory of your grandfather when you wear your Converse------A very touching part of your life to share about him and the wonderful photo of him wearing those green Converse is priceless!
he was such an incredible person ❤️ and apparently a fashion icon before his time haha
Yeah!!! A video from you is a happy moment! ❤
As a Christian I fully appreciate all nature scenes as I love the earth God created for us to enjoy & take care of 🇨🇦 ❤
Amen❤🙏
@@MariE-go7ol Why can't you leave people alone? and let them speak about their beliefs in PEACE? Is the real question.
@@MariE-go7ol,
Hopefully, this gives you a better understanding of why @yvonnekneeshaw2784 professed gratefulness through her faith.
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
--Romans 8:19 New King James Version--
And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
--Ephesians 5:20 New Living Translation--
Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
--1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 Berean Standard Bible--
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
--Romans 1:20-23 New King James Version--
He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.
--Deuteronomy 10:2 New King James Version--
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
--Psalm 111:10 New King James Version--
Thank for taking us with you on your journey, and for making videos that are genuine and honest 😊
Once again a wonderful video, so glad to see you back! You look amazing and love to see your happiness shine! Thank you for taking us who can't travel, taking us along on this ride and beautiful planet 💚🩵💖🙏🏻😀
Great to see you! Thank you for sharing your experiences. "appreciate and celebrate nature" (I like that). Looking forward to part two video.
Yay!! You're back!!! Thanks for awesome video....once again ❤️
Wow, thank you Sandra 🥹🫶🏼 was so lovely meeting you in Yosemite
I really enjoyed this video. I love all the beautiful shots and hearing more about where your thoughts are at this time. You do have a good head on your shoulders as far as I can tell.
Another great Q&A. Can't wait for the next one. Hope you are one day able to find the homestead you are searching for. Stay safe on the road.
in concur with your perspective toward life. Enjoy yourself! Thank you very much for the honest, professional and fun content!
Love your vids and all the fantastic photography
So glad you’re having fun and not stressing as much about settling down! I am glad you keep your Grandpa as a part of you!
Love these new content ☺️ and the adventures
Yes I did like it, and I would love a part two! Respect and admire what you’re all about. Thanks for being here. Peace.
Part 2!!!!! I always enjoy your content
Thank you!
wow, thank you Becky 🥹💕
Loved this video! Would love a part 2!
It's great to see you feeling good and excited about the future. I've learned a lot from you, and I'm about to start my own van life journey. Your enthusiasm is contagious! Here's wishing you the best!
I love this! Gave me so much insight and I could relate so much to what you were saying :) thank you for the inspiration!
Always LOVE your videos! Really appreciate how genuine you are🥰
Yep, loved this. Part 2 please 😁
LOVED this video, Christian! Part two would be awesome....please! 😍
Excellent video! I enjoyed listening to your carefully thought out answers. Keep rockin 🚐
I love the comments on loneliness again. The loneliest times of my life were when I was in relationships or when I had the most active social life. It's nice being an extrovert that has really learned to love being alone and enjoying single life on the road.
Such an inspiration keep doing what your doing. Not sure if I could do it, but that's why I watch your stuff, lol.
Patiently waiting for part 2! 😊
Always good to hear from you! I like how you give your answers so quickly and move through the questions. Ciao! 😊
grazie ☺️🙌🏻
Yay! Love this Q&A! Living vicariously through your van-life experiences. Love it! Also, I completely agree with eating out being overrated. A yummy little homemade creation is where it’s at! Yum!
🤍
glad I’m not the only one who feels that way! 🤓
I love that you are loving life. So inspiring!
Appreciate you!
another amazing chapter to watch! I'm glad you're in good spirits!
Great video and please do a part 2. I have followed you for several years and still get excited when I see a new video from you. Honestly out of the many people I have followed you are the ONLY one I always thoroughly enjoy (and still follow). Thank You for all the effort, work, and care you put into your videos. It is very apparent you love what you do!!!
wow, thank you so much 🥹🫶🏼
Good to see you and I truly feel your genuine happiness in this video. Thank you for being here.😊🙌🏾❤️
Hi! :)) yes you should do a part 2! 🤗
You seem so very happy these days 🎉good to see xx
I enjoyed this video, thanks. I love your wilderness videos, you do a great job of showing the natural beauty of mountains and forests. Happy travels Christian!❤
Love these videos: love the quality and feel of the camera work, good to hear you’ve been having a good time ❤
thanks Gary 🙌🏻
The composition of those 20 seconds of shots from 5:48 to 6:08 ... Are you kidding me?! Absolutely Super Fantastic!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your life and this video. I always feel inspired by watching your videos, and this one is especially more inspiring to me. You are incredible!
So cool to see Shaffer and Schaffer! I love both of your guys’s work so much.
Thank you.
gosh, what a beautiful compliment. thank you so much Rebecca 🥹❤️
You are an inspiration...whether you acknowledge or like it.
wow 🥹🙏🏻
Well as one of the very best photographic vlogs,i certainly missed your content so welcome back.I a firm believer in quality not quantity so dont feel under any presure,we will just be hapi when u post❤😅
Nice to see you back, and it looks and sounds like you at a happy place….. keep it coming when you ready…..
You are an awesome girl who naturally brings smile to others’ face! Looking forward to see more videos from you. 🌹
You are amazing! Love to watch your videos, they always feel so authentic.
