There is a vet eye specialist in Fort Lauderdale area who removes cataracts from animals...It might be worth getting a consult to see if something could be done for her bad eye.

Dogs are a dime a dozen, a Croc monitor is much more special, and monitors live much longer than dogs on average. If it's so important to you, pay for the surgery. This idiot is likely in his 20s living at home (He says he had a rich girlfriend, not her family was rich) and is crying people want to help a lizard instead of his dog, when it should be on him to pay for the operation, but he and his mom are welfare bums who sit home all day. Who cant afford a few thousand to fix a pet? Don't have one if you cant afford one. Second, everything you mention is long over. Now dogs are a menace kept by idiots who have them constantly barking in their yard or shitting all over the streets in cities and STILL barking in their apartments or on the terrace. I hate the damn things. For every well trained dog there are five that are a menace. You should require a license to own a dog that proves you have the ability to train it and care for it. If after 12 months it isn't quiet, well trained and healthy it should be taken away.

They're a bit a shy guys, native to Indonesia, there are many wild ones here on Sumatra mostly they go out after midnight when I wanted to come close they run away.
I like the spanish moss in the enclosure!
Of all the reptiles available as pets you'd think having the word "crocodile" in its name would be enough to give even the most impulsive purchasers second thoughts.
Brett Perry well there’s also crocodile skins which are pretty much harmless beginner pets like leopard gecko so maybe they just don’t do their research right 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Gotta love our scaled friends. They are beautiful animals; I hate that their environment is being destroyed, but awareness is a good thing so that we can preserve these wildlife gifts among us.
The enclosure turned out amazing! Great job!! I cant get over how beautiful she is! Her spots going down to that lovely ringed tail. Really looking forward to watching her become part of the Kamp family and settle in.

Anybody that doubts the teeth or bite of the croc monitor just take a look at Tom Crutchfield's video when he was bitten by one of his... It was not a full bite either and Tom almost lost his hand let alone fingers... Very beautiful yet dangerous monitor...

Ine of the best way to get then over the fear is to show then videos and to help them learn about then . After you have done that going to pet shows with snakes and zoos with snakes so they get up and cosoe to then and if they do a show and tell with the reptiles get them to watch it and soon they will want to touch it I hope this helps..

5.5' untamed croc monitor!!! You have huge balls dude cause that can go so bad so quick it's not even funny. 3.5' Savannah can rip you up in nothing flat so a 5.5' croc monitor encounter can be instantly life changing. hype you are doing this for this species kenan, been following you since xgames days.
maybe put some plants or foliage around the outside of her enclosure to help with the new home jitters. I know it helped with my large monitors. I also have had great experience leaving old shirts or blankets with my scent in their enclosure. helped them settle in better, none the less doing an amazing job.
