What many people missunderstand about metal singers is that they just make noise and scream, when in reality a lot of them are actually classically trained.
I love when you asked was he an Angel or human. He definitely has the voice of an angel. I've cried every time I've heard this and I've listened hundreds of times. I showed it to my 79 year old mum and she absolutely loves it. She felt its the best she's ever seen or heard her entire life. I like the video and use of little things too that are used effectively to highlight either words, sounds, emotions etc. At beginning the first scene is silent just like the sound of silence . When David sings Vision and opens his eyes at the same time, and good use of shadows to keep mainly dark except around the eyes. When girl is writing the musical note his voice rises at exact same time as the vertical line rises. The blacked out visual between the last Sounnnnnnd ( then ) of silence , it is a visual silence with the faint echo of the song ringing in the well of silence . At the very end the sun rises to take away the darkness . I've been around music for 50 of my 56 years and have seen plenty of live songs, been in recording studios, sat in during rehearsals etc or just been in the audience and I've never been moved by any song like I have by this one.
I'm 78 and I remember this back in the 60's, but never paid attention to the words. This version is Fantastic. Gives me chills, tears and I forget to breath EVERY TIME I listen to it.
I love to watch reactions to this video. I have probably watched over 100. One of the best comments I have heard is his has too much voice for one person. I totally agree.
Music is in David's family. His grandparents are holocaust survivors and it's said he got his voice from his great-grandfather who was a cantor of the Gerrer Hasidische bes medresh in Jerusalem. There's a lot of emotion there and his bio speaks wonders on why there's emotion there. I love their music and I love how they evolve as they mature more in life. You can see a difference between early disturbed and today. I love their music journey.
You made my day when you said, "perfect!" That is just how I see it. As others have said in the comments, watch/listen to the performance on Conan. It is just magic and perfection. Enjoyed your reaction!
Great reaction. As great as the studio version is, if you really want to hear how special his voice is, you need to react to the live version of the band's performance of this epic song on Conan. Despite being sick that day, David Draiman's full range was on display. Complete with an orchestra and no second-takes, he delivered a performance for the ages. Conan actually celebrated the performance last year when it became the first video from his show to get over 100 million views. Keep up the great work!
It is true skill and talent to do it live on a tv show, it was just as good as a studio take, he pulled it off to perfection even though he wasn't at his best at the time, the whole crew did an awesome job, a credit to their talent , a talent there is no doubt of !!

The next disturbed song should be remember from their "believe" album! It's got a sort of similar vibe where you can hear his regular voice, but got a little more grit with it! Can't wait to see your face when the chorus hits haha!
I loved how reactive your eyes were. David was classically trained singer. Now he’s a serious hard rock singer. There are a few other covers, but they cannot compare. Look up Simon and Garfunkel original version 1964-5. Disturbed’s version is closer to the pain and heartbreak of a friendship between 2 men and one of them lost their sight as they went through college. Darkness is the blind man’s lovingly nickname. The story is a really deep and meaningful. The proceeds actually went to fund research for his friend’s eye disease.
Oh my goodness! I haven't even started your "reaction" in Sound of Silence by Disturbed and I absolutely love you already! Your intro had me smiling from ear to ear. Love from Ontario, Canada

Loved watching you react to this for the first time. For me then, I had my mouth open the whole time. They took the song from the original 1960s and presented it for the world now. It is just amazing how the lyrics fit in both times. I have a request. Could you react to The Animals singing House of the Rising Sun?
Loved your reaction! This is my favorite song ever! Not only is David's voice AMAZING, but it brings back memories of my mom who passed in 2020. She loved it too.

Silence is the best reaction anyone can give to this awesome version of this song.
Simon & Garfunkel said they really like this cove of their song and this song is now Disturbed’s song
